And yet again, Trel save the day! No wonder she's the main wife. The story is advancing and we realize that dinosaur land is even more dangerous than we thought. The beasties aren't the only danger, but the other survivor too!
Trel should be the MC. -
I really didn't like the MC this time around and liking the MC is one of the most crucial parts for me to like the book as a whole. He has become so arrogant! He kept talking about how all men on Earth dream of women like the ones around him and that all women want to look like them. While it is true that beautiful people are treated better in our society than everyone else, what counts as "a beauty" differs quite a lot from region to region. And maybe women are pushed to conform to that standard. But I'm sure individuals, men and women, have their own image of the perfect "woman" and all women wouldn't change themselves into the MC's big boobed ideal "if only they could".
In previous books I could believe that the MC just happens to run into women that fits his ideals perfectly, he was living his own personal fantasy. In this one however... Well, the MC is so full of himself that I'm surprised he hasn't popped like a balloon. Instead of someone stabbing him with a needle and maybe getting some humility into the boy, he is constantly rewarded for is aweful behaviour.
So, I won't be reading book 4 if one is released. I also won't shame anyone for enjoying this book, because I wanted to enjoy it too, I really did. This series just isn't fun anymore. :( -
Like I've said on the previous books, these are plain old fun. Earle is an entertaining writer and keeps me engaged in the story. He's also pretty damned funny. The part that might throw people off is the whole harem fantasy angle, but let's face it, it's all just fantasy.
A few things that I will quibble about: The books are too short. Honestly, two of these could be condensed into one, but whatever. It makes for fun short reading, and I don't mind paying a little bit more for another book. The other thing I have an issue with is the stakes. There really isn't any threat that Victor can't overcome. He never loses. Like I mentioned before, this story reads like a fantasy (not like the a Fantasy genre novel, but a literal fantasy someone is having.) The action gets intense but you know that Victor will always win and nobody will ever die. The stakes are never threatening. For me, if things took a serious turn, and real life stakes came into play, this story would become much more satisfying. -
Another hit!
As with his previous two entries into this series, Tamer 3 was fantastic! It continues to remind me of the video game, Ark: Survival evolved, and that's a wonderful thing.
This series is full of survival excitement as well as twists and turns that are not always expected. The author is fantastic at what he does and I have enjoyed pretty much everything of his I have read.
If you enjoyed the previous two entries in this series, I can guarantee you will enjoy this one just as much as it is filled with excitement, adventure, surviving, building, expanding, growing, beautiful women, a badass main character, and of course, a whole bunch of wicked awesome dinosaurs!
Minor spoiler which is covered in the book synopsis: this book contains other survivors that are not under Victor's leadership. I really liked how this turned out and it made this entry that much more enjoyable. -
Hasn't disappointed me yet
I gave a 5-star rating because these things seem to be a pass-fail situation. I honestly wish it could have been a little bit longer, and not just with more dinosaur battles. I like the fact that more interesting characters have been introduced, but I didn't like the mute character. It seems like an unnecessary complication. I gave a five star rating because these things seem to be a pass fail situation and he most definitely passed.

Looking forward to the rest of the series. -
Now That Was Awesome
So this is book three of the tamer series and have to say that with each novel i have read. the story gets better and more personal every time. This is the fantasy equivalent of "The Survivor". I will honestly say I had some misgivings about if this would be worth the read. But i was mosy satisfied. I do hope in the next book covers a more that just a few days span in dinosaurland.
I am awaiting the next adventure with anticipation. -
Cliffhanger!
Darn it all, another cliffhanger! MSE does it every time! Gets you really rolling along with the story and bang, you have to wait for the next book! Of course you will because, let's face it, its a good story!
I would advise anyone interested in reading this book to read Tamer 1 and Tamer 2 first. If you've already read them then you know what to expect!
Thanks for another great tale MSE! -
A Great Book!
Resources, romance, crafting, fighting, exploration, politics, strategy, comedy, sex, and yes - dinosaurs.
Our group is maturing. Growing as a group, growing as individuals, and learning to better support each other. This book is an excellent addition to the series.
Well written and edited, it successfully combines a bunch of genres, and is just plain fun and satisfying to read. Buy the book; read the series! Highly recommended. -
A Masterful piece of Ingenious writing
Victor just cant get a break as his plans for increasing his and the woman's safety goes awry with bigger and more intelligent dinos seeking to ruin all their gains.
Its going to take more help, more intelligence and skills, amd more Loving from the woman to get through and MSE shows us how as his impressive use of preindustrial tech in a stone age world helps save the day -
This was pure fun.
This was another great installment in this series. Great fort building, and exploration. There was a perfect balance of action and narrative. I worry about the MC maybe being a little naive, but that is only at one particular time (no spoilers). Overall 9.5 out of 10 -
This book continues the trend of picking up where the last left off and turbo charging through the next few weeks.
The dinosaurs continue to be varied and we final start to see more survivors beyond the core group. Im enjoying how each person on the world has a unique power and how each new race is different then the next. Its becoming a bit like a Star Wars catina. -
Entertaining and interesting
I've read the three books so far and can't wait for the next on the series.
I like the series so far, the main character is growing with each book and each of the women on his harem has her own style and quirks. I would like to see more of Sheela in the story. I'm a geek and Otaku a cat woman is a dream come true -
What a bad ass
I have read all the Tamer novels and it truly is a f...up world setting. I would not have survive two second after being drop there. This series really draws you in and may you root for Victor. I don't have a favorite girl yet but I hope he catches them all like Pokemon.
