We've all been there.

One minute, you're sprawled out on your bed, minding our own business and the next you're lying in the back seat of your best friend's car as she races you to the ER.

And not the closest one either.

No. You're headed to the one fifty miles farther out, because the one five minutes away is where you start your residency next week.

So there you are, lying in cubical nine, hoping like hell that the doctor about to examine you isn't young, sexy or male.

Of course he's all three.

Telling him about the clitmaster7000 I have lodged inside me is by far the single most embarrassing moment of my life.

Discovering he's my brother's new roommate is even worse.

**Awkward Love is a series of sexy, fun novels that can be read in ANY order. Each book is COMPLETELY seperate from the next, so you can read one, or you can read them all**

The ”Awkward Love” series has been incredibly sexy, hilarious, and enjoyable so far. Each couple’s relationship has started off after a quite embarrassing situation but the one in ”TOO MUCH INFORMATION” wins the prize!

Laura Black is starting her third year of residency in the E.R. at Mercy General. It’s been quite some time since she’s been in a relationship and also just as long since she’s had sex. Laura winds up in a terribly embarrassing predicament involving a sex toy that requires urgent medical attention. To save face, she goes to a hospital in a different town thinking she’ll never have to see any of the staff that works there ever again. Her luck gets exponentially worse when her attending doctor is drop-dead gorgeous, Luke Dillon. Somehow after nearly dying from embarrassment on the exam table, the good doctor is able to resolve Laura’s issue, but unfortunately for her, this won't be the last she sees of the good doctor. Fate keeps throwing them in each other’s path.

A few days later at a get together at her brother’s house, she runs into the sexy doctor again. To make things worse, her brother is attempting to set her up with Luke. Luke is Matt’s old college roommate and has been sleeping in his guest room while he waits to move into his new apartment. When Matt’s in-laws show up unexpectedly, he asks Laura if she could let Luke use her spare bedroom that she was planning on renting out anyway. Laura is yet again horrified that she has to come face to face on a daily basis with the man who was up close and personal with her private bits! But, that’s not the last of it, Luke is about to start his fellowship at the hospital she works at.

The two fumble through their first few weeks together as roommates and colleagues. Laura is struggling with the shame she feels over how they initially met, and Luke is desperate to ease Laura’s anxiety but unsure as to how to go about it.

When their romance starts to take off, the awkwardness subsides, but soon the past and painful secrets threaten to end things between them just as they were getting started.

    Here are my overall ratings:
    Hero: 4.5
    Heroine: 4
    Plot: 4
    Angst:3
    Steam: 5
Chemistry Between Hero & Heroine: 4

Too Much Information is the third book in Missy Johnson's Awkward Love series and the latest book that had me cracking up. The entire beginning I was almost in tears from laughing so hard at the predicament Laura found herself in. I think it really opened the book up with a very light and silly thing and I liked that it set the tone for the book as being so fun.

I really liked both characters and I thought Luke was the perfect calm to Laura's quirky storm. They kept a smile on my face almost the entire book and I enjoyed their relationship. There were some secrets that came out that I felt took away from the story instead of adding to it, but in the end I liked how Laura and Luke handled that. Though I did want to see a little more resolution from that.

Overall, if you're looking for a book that's going to have you laughing like a crazy person this is the one you want to pick. Each book in the Awkward Love series can definitely be read as a standalone, so there's no need to read in any particular order.

➳A romance novel filled with so much awkwardness and pure chemistry that is just absolutely marvelous...

➳When I was asked by the author to read this novel, I was instantly taken aback by how amazing the synopsis is. It literally made me laugh out loud. The story line is just so great, I am too excited to read it again in the future. The characters are just... UGHHH! TO DIE FOR! I cannot get over how amazing Laura and Luke are. Luke is an individual that is very candid about his actions and thoughts, and in some ways I really appreciate because I don't read too many romances that have male characters such as Luke, in which are not jerks, not egotistical, or think they are everything. Luke is just honest about his thoughts, especially for the first time he sees Laura.

➳This is a short review but one that I am really hoping everyone takes into consideration of reading, and also reading the novel.
Missy Johnson has really taken my aback at how marvelous this novel is. The chemistry between Laura and Luke is for sure FIRE! I am totally down with all the kink they both have in mind. Thank you to Missy for sending me a copy of her novel, as I am looking forward to reading it in the future once again!

Book 3 in Missy Johnson’s Awkward Love series was fantastic & my favorite so far. Definitely awkward, and laugh out loud funny. I enjoyed reading this so much! It was equal parts comedy and serious. My family kept asking me what was so funny cause I couldn’t quit laughing. Then there are emotional parts that I loved too. I adored Luke. He’s a super dreamy, delicious doctor with a beautiful heart! I can’t wait for book 4! :))

I quite enjoy this author's writing, so I was very much looking forward to this one. BUT...thanks to a friend who knows my hangups very well I found out this had something I very much HATE in my romance books. So instead of reading this and giving it a low rating (which IMO wouldn't be fair since I already know I wouldn't enjoy this one), I am going just to give it a pass altogether.

I take a deep breath and turn it on, then I slide it onto my finger and dive under the covers.
It’s not like I’m going to be broadcasting this on YouTube or anything.
    Here goes nothing… Oh my.
I groan as it vibrates against me, surprised at how good it actually feels. I bring my knees up and spread my legs a little farther apart, massaging my clit with my new buzzy friend. I clamp down on my lip, stifling a moan as I tease my entrance, pushing my finger just a little farther inside.
I gasp as my hips buck forward and push my finger deeper inside me until I…
My eyes fly open in shock.
Oh no, no, no. Please not this.
I frantically shove my hands out in front of me, like I need confirmation that this is really happening. Because the hands-free buzzing in my vagina isn’t a dead giveaway.
Frantically, I try and dig it out, but it’s no use. If anything, I think I’ve made it worse. I groan and grab a handful of sheet as the toy rubs against my clit, driving me crazy.

“Hi. I’m Doctor Dillon, one of the resident doctors here.” He smiles warmly at me, but I don’t smile back. I’m in too much shock to do anything other than gawk at him like an idiot. He glances down at his clipboard and then back at me. “So, you have an exploding cyst. How bad is the pain, on a scale of one to ten right now?” he asks. “And have you had cysts in the past?” he adds, flicking through his notes.
His brow furrows when I don’t answer either question. He steps closer to the bed. I jump, causing my body to react in the one way I don’t want it to in front of him. I blink back tears, squirming as I squeeze my thighs closed while doing my best to ignore him as he looks at me in surprise.
“I can’t talk to you. I need a female doctor,” I puff, my face flaming. He speaks earnestly while I lie there, defeated. I know I can’t put up with this for much longer. So what if he’s hotter than a Calvin Klein model and in five minutes, he’ll be elbow deep inside me, probably while I’m in the middle of an orgasm?

“There is no cyst. I had a mishap with a toy.”
“I’m sorry?” he says, frowning at me. “I don’t understand what you—” He stops mid-sentence and stares at me, his eyes widening. “Oh.” After a moment of reflection, he quickly moves on. “So, it’s stuck? Inside your vagina?”
“I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t,” I snap, close to tears again.
    “Right,” he replies.
He shakes his head, looking a bit lost at what to do next. Given that he’s a resident, this could well be his first disappearing vibrator case. Yay for being his first.
“Okay, so have you attempted to get it out?” he asks.
I nod. “I’ve tried, but I can’t get myself into the right position. Every time I do, it triggers an orgasm.”

“Hey, what the hell does this note on the door mean…”
He stops mid-sentence when he sees me standing there, ass naked and in full frontal glory. He laughs and throws his arms over his eyes to shield himself from the beauty that is me.
“Jesus, fuck, man. Put that thing away.”
    Shit.
My heart pounds as my hands shoot down to cover my manhood, while I try and cling to the shred of dignity I have left.
“What the hell are you doing here?” I snap, glaring at Matt.

you look absolutely stunning,” he compliments.
“You do scrub up pretty well.”
    I laugh. Is that Matt?
Luke chuckles and steps aside to reveal a pedicab, being chauffeured by none other than Matt. He looks less than impressed in his shorts and collared shirt, complete with a bow tie. I crack up laughing. He scowls at me.
“What the hell are you doing?” I say, giggling.
“Apparently this is payback for a bet I lost nearly eight years ago,” he whines. He glares at Luke, who can’t wipe the smile off his face. “Just get in and let's get this over with.”
I’m still laughing as Luke helps me up into the cart. I don’t even want to know what the bet was. Luke leans forward and slaps Matt across the ass.

Okay. So, you think that Laura and Luke met at your dinner party, right?”
Annie nods, looking even more confused.
“Well, that was their second meeting. Their first meeting was actually in the ER where Luke was working at the time.”
    “What happened?” she asked, bewildered.
“Laura got a sex toy stuck up her clacker.”
“Clacker?” I repeat, giggling at her. “Vagina, Becs. Don’t be afraid of it. And there was a lot more to it than that—”
“You mean how you made me try and dig it out of your vagina?”
“It’s what a friend would do,” I protest, while poor Annie stares at us, both shocked and confused. “Last time I checked, I drove you there after you called me in a fit,” Becca cuts in.
“Sorry,” I say. “Becca drove me to an ER far enough away that nobody would know me.”
“And Luke was the doctor who saw to you,” Annie finishes.
I nod. She starts to giggle, until she’s clutching her stomach, doubled over nearly on the floor she’s laughing so hard. She shakes her head as tears roll down her cheeks.
“Oh my God, it just hit me how awful it must have been for you at that dinner party, walking in and seeing him sitting there.” She wipes her eyes. “Matt and I couldn’t for the life of us work out why you hated Luke so much when we thought he’d be perfect for you.”

Laura has decided to cash in the sex toy gift card that her bestie gave her in an effort to get some sexual relief in her singledom life. After excitedly receiving the package in the mail, she rips it open and sees if it can work it’s magic on her. This is how she ends up in the ER. Not at the local hospital where she begins working the following week, to be safe she goes to one much further away, with her best friend driving and enduring the uncontrollable orgasms ripping through her.

Unfortunately for Laura the only doctor free is a male, a very hot male who sees the funny side of her situation but deals with it in a semi professional way. She just wants to die from the humiliation but can take heart in the fact that she will never see him again. That’s what she thought anyway. Therefore it is a startling surprise to meet him across the dinner table at her brother’s house. He had to know her brother right? It get’s better though…… because the vagina humiliation was not enough right?

Luke sees the funny side in meeting up with Laura again and when his living situation at her brother’s place changes he finds himself the new roommate of this cute girl he met in cubicle 9 in the ER. Well all the awkward stuff is already out of the way right? He has seen her naked so being roomies should be smooth sailing for them now.

These two are great together and talk about an unconventional way of getting to know someone. He has his hand up her vajayjay, then they move in together and lastly they kiss for the first time. This is just the beginning of a friendship that has so much chemistry it eventually spills into the bedroom. The getting to know each other part has been completely skipped over and when they both have to deal with things that happened in their past, things take a dramatic turn for both of them.

Too much information in the beginning has eventually led them to a lack of information and they will have to work through this if they really want to have a chance of staying together.

This is the third book in the Awkward Love series by this author and I guess I would describe them all as light romantic reads. There are plenty of funny moments and lots of steamy ones too ☺

  • ❤️Emma Book Lover ❤️

The beginning was funny full of laugh out loud moments, then it got into more heavier stuff, but is still kept the rom com vibe. They are doctors..but in my opinion no research was done into what to be a doctor means, they seemed clueless about their job to be honest.
I liked it but nothing memorable.

  • Carvanz

Expecting a cute, sassy, fun read, I was pleasantly surprised to find this book was so much more.

After a perfectly embarrassing trip to the ER, Laura is shocked speechless to find herself facing the doctor that treated her. Trying to lighten the awkwardness, Luke only makes matters worse with his attempts to joke about their previous meeting. When things take a decidedly different turn they soon find themselves in a relationship that was both sweet and passionate.

Laura was a strong, independent heroine that was determined to make her way in her chosen field. She wanted the husband and family but knew that those things weren’t really in her future. Luke was a confident smirky hero full of fun and laughter, often times laughing at himself which I found quite attractive. Together, these characters just worked, despite the fact that one of them is keeping a secret and the other will have one exposed to them.

This is the type of romance that you can just sit back and enjoy even though you know the other shoe is gonna drop and someone’s going to be hurt because, you know…the secret. Despite that, the angst level here was relatively low while the steam factor was high. The secondary characters definitely helped to build the story up and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them all.

This is my second book by Missy Johnson and I have loved them both! Looking forward to the next in this series!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

ARC received by author in exchange for an honest review.

This one started so funny, I would've been mortified if it happened to me. Luke was such an understanding and funny guy. Without trying to be funny.

I liked how we got to see the hard times at the hospital too. Lots of people don't notice those.

My heart went out to Laura, it must be so hard.

I felt that the epilogue was a bit rushed? I wanted to know those little things Maybe some of them will be answered in the extended epilogue that will be released later.

Thank you to the author for the ARC!!

4/4.5 stars - I was lucky enough to read an ARC of this title and let me tell you..... this book had me cracking up numerous times. There were just some beyond hysterical moments that the characters end up in. Speaking of, I loved the main characters AND the secondary ones too.

Along with plenty of laughs, the serious moments give the story a wonderful balance.

Really, it was SUCH a great book.

    Highly recommend!

This book starts off AMAZING like more than 5 stars. I was sooooo stoked!!! The comedy is grade A and you feel every emotion she feels.. but then … it kind of ran away from the plot. I feel our character acts not her age which total derails the story
The story kind of slows down even though the writing style is amazinnnngggg it just gets boring … and would benefit from ebing shorter. I do feel the ending became rushed.
I cant wait to try this author again because she can write! I just don’t think this book did it for me.

I loved the blurb. It sound like it would be really funny, and it started that way. I was enjoying so much and cracking up! But the rhythm didn't keep like that. The couple were cute but it was too rush. It all happened in a few weeks and then suddenly they were in love. I didn't have time too believe they were actually in love. Also the problem was resolved so fast and the end was also rush. I missed more of what happened. How they dealed with everything.
It was a good read I laughed in some parts, Luke and Laura were great together and great sex scenes. I did like to read just missed a few things.

This book just cracks me up! I totally laugh-out-loud at some scene right from the very start of the story.

Laura and Luke's first meeting is really awkward in every sense of the word.

Laura being wheeled to the ER to pull out something in her that kept on buzzing every minute. She requested a female doctor, but instead, gorgeous, sexy Dr. Luke came in to attend to her needs. Embarrassed, Laura was able to tell what really happened to her.

And after that mishap, what's the chance for them to meet again, apparently a lot. At a dinner arranged by her brother after an introduction was made, Luke said...

"I'm getting a really good vibe from you, Laura. I think I'm really going to get a buzz out of talking with you tonight."

What happens next is really something worth reading about. Plus, you have to meet Becca the BFF who doesn't have any filter in delivering her punch line and Iris, the neighbor, whose sense of humor is unusually good for an 80-year-old woman.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Missy Johnson wrote another rom-com story with a heartwarming ending that I just love. This 3rd book of the Awkward series can be read as standalone. Want something funny with a heart to read, I highly recommend this one.

I liked the set up of this story but the story was dull and I couldn't muster the enthusiasm to finish it.

    Review by Lisa Kane

Laura Black is 26 and in the last year of her residency. She’s also single and alone. Why not use that gift card her best friend Becca gave her and get a “toy” to help with her sexual needs. She barely has time for her friends and family yet alone a guy. Only the toy does a fantastic job, but Laura neglected to read the small print. It’s for External use only!

This is going to make for one embarrassing trip to the ER. No way is she going to have Becca drive her to Mercy, that’s where she works. No, the out of the way hospital will have to do. Her requests for a female doctor go unanswered and drop dead gorgeous Dr. Luke Dillon pulls back the curtain. He’s professional and discreet and in any other circumstances this would be a good thing. But Laura is mortified and it’s just as well she will never see him again.

That is right up until she has dinner with her brother Matt and his very pregnant wife Annie. They are hosting Matt’s friend for a few days while he settles in to his new job at Mercy. Guess who’s coming to dinner? Laura is less than thrilled to see Luke, and he’s all too aware
of her doing everything she can to avoid him. She can’t get out of the house fast enough.
But it seems that Annie’s parents are coming and there’s no room in the inn for Luke. (I thought Annie was really rude about this and I can’t say I am a fan of hers!) Matt ends up asking Laura to rent out her spare bedroom to Luke. She’s been thinking about getting a roommate for a while. How can she say no?

This is when the story really takes off. There’s so much chemistry and attraction. Expect some drama and a few curve balls too. Both Luke and Laura (I know you keep thinking of General Hospital when you see their names together) have lives and plans that are headed in different directions. Laura has been keeping secrets and Luke is about to be tested in more ways than one.

Too Much Information is a cute read with lots of humor, some obstacles and plenty of heat!

Have you ever read a book that has you in giggles the whole way through the novel? For me, that was Missy Johnson's Too Much Information. I loved it so much that I am now going have to go back and read the previous two books in this series. In TMI, we meet Laura who has been single for far too long and decides to cash in her friend Brooke's voucher from the local sex shop. Laura decides to buy a small vibrator, and next thing we learn is she has it stuck. Yes, you read that correctly. Laura calls her friend Brooke, and they make their way down to the hospital, not the closest one though as Laura is supposed to start her residency there on Monday. Just as Laura's day couldn't get any worst, the only doctor able to see her in her worst embarrassing moment is a hunky male doctor named Luke. He helps her and she goes on her merry way, thanking the gods she doesn't have to see him ever again. Laura's luck is about to get worst as turns out that Luke is not only friends with her brother Matt and his wife Annie, she has been set up on a blind double date with Luke, and now her brother wants him to stay in her spare bedroom as get this --- he is going to be starting at the same hospital as Laura. Despite all the embarrassing moments, the couple hit it off, and things start going great and moving along at an awesome pace until Luke learns he has a daughter and wants a family with Laura. What will happen though when the one thing Luke wants from Laura, she can't give him no matter how hard she tries? If you are in the mood for a good romantic comedy read filled with lots of laughter and love, then check out Too Much Information by Missy Johnson today - Book #3 in the Awkward Love Series.

This book started out hysterical...I mean like laugh out loud, tears coming out of my eyes, my stomach was hurting hysterical. Luke and Laura...was the author a former General Hospital fan or am I just showing my age? LOL Anyway, Luke and Laura. Laura is a resident doctor, not much of a social life so to speak and has a hilarious best friend Becca, a brother Matt and sister in law. She leads a normal, quiet life until she finds herself in one of the most hysterical positions and I mean POSITIONS!

Long story short, she has to go to the emergency room. Not hers but one that is nowhere near her house or town. LOL It's here under the most embarrassing and humiliating circumstances that she meets Luke, the doctor. He tries to add comedy to the situation to ease her a bit but Laura is beyond being consoled. She literally wishes the world would open up and swallow her. The time these two spend together trying to "fix" her situation was comedy gold!

As luck would have it when Laura turns up at a dinner party and guess who is there? Coincidentally, her brother knows Luke and the hits keep coming with more comedy gold during this interlude. As the story continues, Luke and Laura's lives keep intertwining. It truly seems like fate is pushing these two together and this is where the comedy abruptly ends.

Laura has a secret. I mean a major secret that she hasn't told Luke. There just never seems like the right time although she is prepared to tell him many times. Meanwhile Luke's past comes back to chase him down. There are so many moving parts at this point and what started out as a lighthearted, humorous story took a more somber turn. It wasn't that it wasn't good..it was. I just was on such a fun high and it slowly lost humor and by the end it wasn't what I expected. But the fun part was great while it lasted!

  • Cindy

Laura is a 26 year old in her last year of residency. And while being single decides to try out a new little toy. Well when the toy gets lost in her vagina, she freaks out! I can only imagine how horrible, and scared she was, but also not being able to stop orgasming, doesn't sound like fun. When her best friend isn't able to remove the toy, she decides she must go to the ER. But one that's not close to where she lives, one that she won't be working at.

Enter the super yummy and sexy Dr. Luke Dillon. I LOVED his character, and he has fantastic bedside manner!! From there these two just seem to keep bumping into each other.

Too Much Information has so much chemistry, and the attraction between Luke and Laura is SCORCHING!! Not only do we get them, we get one hell of a unique storyline. Expect some drama and a few curve balls thrown in.

I found Too Much Information a super fun, cute read, with tons of banter, and lots of spicy heat.

*I voluntarily beta read a copy from the author. This is my honest review.*

Too Much Information starts out with a buzzing effect that will have you laughing out loud while trying to cover your face in embarrassment because you just cannot make this stuff up!! Can you imagine finally taking the plunge to reawaken your sexual side, only to get stuck, literally?!

Laura Black is officially in her final year of her Residency. For the past few years, her life has been nothing but work and coming home to an empty place. Deciding to use her long awaited gift, Laura gets herself into a bit of a situation that requires the emergency room ASAP. But going to the nearby hospital is out of the question because starting on Monday she will be one of the new Residents and who wants to start off their week with a horror story about something being stuck in your hooha? Things cannot get any worse that they already are right? Wrong.

Thinking that she can survive the embarrassment, Laura’s life is about to get a lot more interesting when she learns that the doctor who helped her out of her *coughs, situation, is also the new Resident doctor at her hospital. Can you say Awkward? What will happen when these two have to see each other more than the actual requirement?

I really adored the beginning of the story. It was funny, engaging, and it filled me with the anxious butterflies that I loved. But somewhere along the line, the main characters began to lose interest for me and I had a hard time getting back that hypnotic feeling that first captured my attention. Despite that, think if you’re looking for a humorous read with a few secrets, then you’re going to like this one.

I really really enjoyed this one! What started off as very funny transitioned to something heartfelt and then to the happy ending. Want moreeee of Luke and Laura AND more of Awkward Love books!!! 💖💖💖

TMI starts too hilarious, indeed a situation that could really happen but will make you want the floor to open up and swallow you. And never to spit you again once you meet him again when you had thought you would never see him again.
I need to remember this, because I too have been in situations and thinking "whatever, I will never see you again"

He’s hotter than a Calvin Klein model and in five minutes, he’ll be elbow deep inside me, probably while I’m in the middle of an orgasm

While the start was quite promising I found the MC's a bit boring. She is perceived to be a control freak while I would say that she is more a insecure, giggling, self-absorbed egotist.
And he starts babbling when he is nervous and that seemed to happen quite often.

Although the romance is quite tout de suite, overall, it is a quick nice read with some great sex scenes. Laura's family is a tight bunch and her BFF Becca is one of a kind, as is Laura's 80-year old neighbour Iris.
Luke is a hottie, a doctor with amazing bed side manners and an amazing boyfriend.

This was really cute and simple.

It was also hilarious at parts which made me laugh out loud.

Infertility is discussed in this novel as the main character cannot have a baby

Yet again in books, it feels like the infertility is there as a plot device rather than an actual serious thing that deserves to have time and effort put in.

It was just a really easy book to get to, nothing really wow about it. But just cute and okay.

Also to say both the main characters were doctors it didn't always seem like they were...

Nothing says awkward getting a se toy stuck in your vagina and having to visit the emergency room in the next county. How about meeting the same doctor at a dinner party at your brother and sister-in-law the next day? Could things get more awkward? Yes.

The new doctor who was supposed to roommate with her brother and sister-in-law for a few weeks before his place would be ready suddenly has her parents visiting and her brother offer her spare room for him to stay.

Throw in some chemistry as things heat up between the two. But she still hiding a seet that could change things between him as he has his own that he did

If you're looking for a fun, lighthearted read, look no further. This one is great if you need a good laugh. We start off with Laura, who is about to start her 3rd year residency, and her best friend Becca who gifted her with a gift certificate to an adult store. Laura decides to use the certificate and order herself a little something and then the most embarrassing thing ever happens. She frantically calls Becca and they go to the ER... IN ANOTHER AREA so she doesn't have to face anyone she's about to work with in her residency. She prays for a female dr but in walks Luke. He does his job, rids her of her embarrassment and she's on her way, never to see him again..... until she goes to her brother and sister in law's for dinner and Luke is at their dinner party. SURPRISE, Luke and Matt are college friends. Then, unforseen plans happen and Luke is in need of a place to stay, so naturally Matt offers his sister... not knowing she was the girl in cubicle 9 that he heard about from Luke. From this point, it just gets more awkward and hilarious. Some points, I laughed til I cried. But, there is an issue with Laura that I HATED. I couldn't give it 5 stars for that reason. I wanted her and Luke to be able to have "that" and in a way they get it and the extended epilogue is perfect for this story, I just think, personally, I would have liked it better had it been Luke and Laura going through it.... not someone else. I know that's vague but I don't wanna spoil it. Over all, solid 4 stars. Great read if you're looking for something fun.
Thanks again to Missy for the ARC!

"This book was pretty funny. Especially the beginning.
I about died when the vibe/buzz conversation happened! As good as this book's plot was and how amazing it sounded, It lacked a little. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed reading it, but I didn't feel like the characters had any chemistry. I couldn't picture them in love and in a relationship. It felt a little too mechanical to me, I didn't even feel like they were really friends. More like acquaintances.
I may be making it sound too harsh, I don't know. Because the book was cute, had some funny and sexy moments.
This book would have had an extra star, maybe even two if I felt the connection between the characters." ~Amber

When you start reading and are laughing within the first page of the book, you know it is gonna be a good one. It had me laughing throughout and even when things got serious I was sucked in even more. I wish there was more of a spark between the couple but the storyline was great and unique and it was enjoyable ~Jen

"This story was so much fun to read. I was laughing so hard! It definitely has it serious moments that balances the story perfectly. The characters are well written too. I even enjoyed the secondary characters a lot! If you're in the mood for a great story then pick this one up! I highly recommend it.

    4 1/2 out of 5 stars

This is the first book I’ve read from this author, but I don’t see it being my last. I laughed out loud so many times while reading this book that my kids thought I’d gone crazy! From the very first page, I was invested in the characters. Luke and Laura both had me. They meet in in the best setup ever for a story! I laughed and laughed. For real, I think this book is just so funny that EVERYONE should read it!

It wasn’t just the two main characters that were so great. Laura’s friend Becca and her brother and sister-in-law all made great impacts on the story, but my favorite “extra” was Laura’s 80 year old next door neighbor, Iris. When Becca and Laura are having lunch with Iris, Becca asks if Iris misses her deceased husband. Iris’s response is legendary:

“Of course, but when you get to my age, you miss everything. I miss being continent overnight.”

Though this story has some ups and downs and it isn’t funny 100% of the time, it is the best rom-com I’ve read this year. I can’t wait to follow up with more stories from this author!
