This booklet's the culmination of years of being active around food - cooking, growing, mutual aid and community projects, promoting vegan ism, studying nutrition, autonomous health, and trying to make sense of all the connections including : our curent food system, social determinants of health, nutritional science, omnivores vs herbivores, developing more intuitive eating, plus new recipes (wild foods, ferments, snacks and treats, and more).

Eat Like It Matters Reviews

  • Rosie Lee

A must read for anyone interested in how to eat well and to brush up their knowledge on basic nutrition. Empathetically not a diet book or necessarily a vegan book (although slanted that way) but a book which is both thoughtful and thought provoking.

It has interesting looking plant based recipes but I’m a visual person and need photos which sadly it lacked otherwise I would’ve given it five stars.

    What a kind book.

Books about eating are often informative, which this is, and they sometimes come with recipes that I need to cook IMMEDIATELY, which this does. But a book that's gentle and kind and says that eating is important but not always easy, that there are benefits to a vegan diet but the biggest benefits come from listening to your own body? This book is the whole package, a three course meal in an amuse bouche A6 sized package. 5 stars is not enough for how much I love it.

  • Riley Dahlberg

It was a nice read to understand how food and capitalism intersect, and how to eat outside of the system.
