These short stories are absolutely classic. The variety is wide, from Potter to Poe and so much more. It was perfect for middle-of-the-night reading when you can't get to sleep and you want something to take your mind to new places. There are only a very few illustrations, so future readers should not expect too much beyond the colorful Peter Rabbit pictures that I remembered from childhood. If you didn't like one story, well, you knew another really good one was just past the next page. Recommended.
