London Bridge is falling...but it's not their fault...mostly.

Montague and Strong have left the building-in fact, they’ve left the continent.

When a teleportation circle sends them to London, The Penumbra Consortium-and older, darker version of the Dark Council requests Montague & Strong look into the murder of the leading demonologist, Mage Nigel Warrenton. There are a few complications-Tristan is being hunted by Golden Circle magistrates, Michiko must return to take her seat on the Council before her brother is challenged, and demons are roaming the streets of London.

Now, with the help of Thomas Rafael - a mage who doesn’t believe in magic - they must avoid the magistrates, return Michiko to the Dark Council, and stop London from becoming a demon breeding ground.

What could possibly go wrong?

Montague & Strong dive into another thrilling adventure as they face off against demons, dark powers, and disasters as they try to save London from annihilation!

Another nonstop book that I struggled to put down.

While I’m finding these books addictive I also find them exhausting. I keep hoping they’ll get a minute to chill but they don’t.
I’m absolutely loving Peaches the little cutie.

Another exciting installment in the Montague & Strong series. I love reading the author's take on so many different mythical and supernatural beings. And the recurring characters continue to come to life for me. With each book, I'm more impressed with how much like real people Simon and Tristan seem. I'm beginning to wonder if I've been reading so much that book characters seem more like real people than actual humans do.

    My Thoughts:
It is becoming a trademark of this series that every subsequent book starts right where the previous book left off. And that is kind of growing on me.

And then, we get to see a Peaches arguing philosophy with Simon! Woohh!! This is Simon we are talking about... Simon who gets a headache every time Tristan tries to explain anything to him that is more complicated than eating! Good thing that Peaches' "philosophic phase" didn't last very long...or our protagonist might just develop a permanent migraine! And that wouldn't do, now would it?! He gotta fight the baddies and get beat up... again... I think this is my favouritest book yet in the series.

This is the book that introduced me to the
    Ian Dex
series. And the urban fantasy geek in me cheered to have stumbled into another promising series! We seem to be getting a lot of "Dexes" here. Uncle Dex. Ian Dex. Mmm...

    All Hail Peaches!

Crossovers, new friends, and (mostly) accidental destruction. Sound good? Ok, read it. Sound bad? You are wrong. Read it and then apologize for being wrong.

  • Ladyhawk

This series is special! Nothing else like it! Love the crazy action and numerous magical or preternatural or mythical characters that make an appearance! I'm a fan!

Ahhh another adventure with Simon, Monty, Peaches and Uncle Dex 🙌🏾🙌🏾 yes. Uncle Dex survived from the last misadventure, as did Chi, the vampire head of the dark council and Simon’s Amour?? Anyway, now instead of enraging NY city’s finest paranormal unit, the team that is bent on destroying every city they come into contact with is of to London, to well, decimate it and tick of London’s finest Paranormal Unit..ahhhh just like old times.

While in the midst of destruction, they have to team up with Thomas 🤬🤬🤬 you’ll hate him, trust me, preserve the bond between Simon and Peaches before the Hellhound goes berserk, Simon must bond with Ebonsol and pay a price( what will it be?)
Monty much pay a visit to his (Nana) much to the amusement of Simon and Dex and the readers! Peaches is awesome as always and there’s all sorts of demons, vampires, ghosts, and delicious meat for him to bite? Oh and he’s so not interested in that “diet” Simon is suggesting, after all, the primary word is “die” and that does not sound good for him at all 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 - there you go, Peaches just explained why diets are just not a thing 😂😂😂😂.

    A solid 4.5 stars.

    A bit hectic and rushed

Not that the usual hijinks don't ensue but this was at the too much stage somewhere around the first third of the book. We're at what I consider “anime afflicted“ point where our hero is just levelling up all the time. Each new person is sooooo badass, yet manages to be vanquished pretty quickly. Which makes the next new character being suddenly magnitudes of order more powerful than the prior one, credulity straining. Where does it go from here besides pure satire?
A word about female characters. If they only exist to be rescued, heal people or provide cryptic info, they're just plot devices. I'm hoping at one of the regular female characters stops being described by her clothing & looks & starts shavings, thoughts, quirks and personality.

Whenever I get in a reading funk, all I have to do is pick up one of the urban fantasy favorites and dig in. It will pull me out every time, and this world and series is one I hate to leave whenever I get to the end and yanks me right out of any book hangover.

Jumping right in after the end of book 3, we are tossed into the action from the first pages. Landing in London from the teleportation link, but Tristan is still be hunted and there is a mad man on the loose summoning demons, letting them loose on the city. The tests on Simon’s immortality curse will be tested – and he doesn’t like to die.

I can’t recommend this series enough. If you like urban fantasy, this is a great one. From the seriousness of Tristan, the smart-ass dialog from Simon, and Peaches – the Hellhound with a bottomless pit of a stomach and all the supporting cast, you will be on a wild, original and thoroughly engaging ride that will have you strapped in from the first pages to the end. I’m catching up with you, Mr. Sanchez. Just two words for you: “write faster,” the next one is already on my Kindle. :) Reviewed by Cyrene

    Fourth entry in
Orlando Sanchez's Montague & Strong Case Files series of novels, this picks up directly - like, directly directly - after the close of the previous (
Blood is Thicker A Montague & Strong Detective Novel: Montague & Strong Case Files Book 3: Volume 3.

In a change from those previous 3 works, however, this is set in the more familiar (to me) location of the UK instead of the US, and also ends with a definite close. Or, at least, a close to this particular story-line, although it does set up that of the next entry.

The best way I can describe it? If these books were ever released as part of an anthology (such as, say,
The Young Hornblower Omnibus collected those novels prior to Hornblower becoming a Captain), ending that anthology with this entry would make perfect sense.

London gets the Monty & Strong treatment?!
Wow this series just keeps upping its game! Silver Clouds Dirty Sky is the 4th book in the Montague & Strong series (Tombyards and Butterflies being the 1st) which already started off well but gets even better with every book and this time we find them in London (but will they ever be allowed back?!). This book is full of action with a slightly warped sense of humour. As we catch up with Monty and Simon we find out more about their dysfunctional family as this story goes more in depth into characters you already knew as well as introducing you to new ones with potential to be seriously interesting. You probably ought to set some time aside as once I started reading I really didn't want to stop!

Here we find out what happens when Dex teleports the boy to London. And being how they are, they are promptly arrested. And the fun goes on from there. We get a peek at how London mages rule things and Monty even learns a new trick, even if he can't use it. The best part is when we get a peek at Monty's past with his Nana. Whom I hope we see more of, as she is a great old lady. The boys are at their best, which mean London might need some repair work when all is said and done. A great book, with a catchy ending.

Orlando Sanchez has fast become one of my favorite authors. He is a master of this genre. His characters are relatable and its attention to detail is impressive. Montague and Strong are at it again, and the book takes the reader on yet another wild adventure with this pair. Monty and Strong are transported to London, and the reader is dropped into the middle of things. The pacing of the book makes it nearly impossible to put down. I have read a lot of this type of book, and Sanchez is definitely one of the best. I highly recommend this series.

    Must read indeed!!!

Read through it in under 8 hours flat, what an amazing ride indeed.
I’ve been putting reading the other 2 books (One where Simon & Monty first met, and the other where Simon went on a date with Chi) I guess it’s finally time for me to get around that.
The feeling this volume of the Strong & Montague series felt like when I first saw the trailer for Avengers: Infinity War *_*
And the teaser for book 5 was an added bonus
lots of Easter Eggs galore that makes it a must to reread the previews novels.

This time around Simon and Monty take their two man (and one hellhound) demolition crew across the pond. They wreak an appalling amount of havoc, although to be fair most of it wasn't technically their fault, it was awesome! Every book in this series just ramps up the action and the amount of meat Peaches can put away. FYI Peaches, badassery abounds😎. So when you get this (and we both know you will😉) get comfortable because you're not going to want to put it down.

The fourth book in the ‘Montague and Strong Detective Agency’ series offers explosive magical mayhem from the very first page. Having been teleported to London at the end of book 3 our intrepid adventures soon fall foul of the British mages and have some fun with a couple of demons leaving utter destruction in their wake. Awesome read from beginning to end, with a nice little cliffhanger to whet your appetite for the next in the series. I cannot wait!

  • Denise King

As is the norm for this series, the story hits the ground running and races to the finish line like a well bred horse. London will never be the same, but this time Peaches gets part of the...credit (blame lol). We get to find out just what Peaches may be capable of, other than emptying a well stocked larder. We meet the woman who shaped Monty's life, and the woman who keeps Dex coming back for more. Tears of pain and joy intermingled whilst reading this tale, but it's well worth it.

  • Elizabeth Meadows

    Addictive

I really didn’t need another supernatural crime fighting series to read, but life is short, so I can’t stop borrowing these books. The Hellhound is hilarious, Simon Strong might be serious for a split second per novel and, Tristan Montague is a bad-ss with restraint and it’s fun to watch them save the day while getting blamed for the material destruction Every. Single. Time.

Thank you Orlando Sanchez for saving me from a depressing summer.

  • Michelle Casson

    OH so good!

Monty and Strong (and of course sweet baby Peaches ) never fails to amuse and satisfy. I laughed out loud all throughout this book. There was so much death and destruction. Then there is Tristan’s Nana. Word to the wise...you NEVER piss off Nana! Read it now. Well, what are you waiting for? GO!

  • Wendy Schindler

    Outstanding!

I'm not very good at this part.
I very much enjoy Orlando's work! I think its fun how he includes nods to other great Urban Fantasy type writers.
"Orlandogasmic" is a very entertaining new descriptor!
So many great moments, epic battles, some tender and touching scenes, and of course the 'buddy cop" over-all feel, all combine for a great read! Get your copy today!

I love these books. Montague and Strong are engaging characters and I have a soft spot for peaches. Each book in the series has been enjoyable and I love the overall arch. Orlando is a great author who engages well with his fans and I look forward to the next installment. just hope it's not in London anytime soon, quite fond of my capital city and don't think it could take many more visits.

  • Megan

    Excellent Read as usual

I wish I could write eloquent reviews, I really do because every book in this series deserves one. Love the characters, both major and minor. They are wonderfully developed and their world is a delight to discover. I'm never disappointed by Mr. Sanchez's brilliant writing

  • Liz Christensen

I haven't read a book yet by Orlando Sanchez that I haven't loved. The Montague and Strong series gets better with each installment. The author continues to develop the characters so that the reader gets more involved with them in each book. His trademark humor and snark never fail to bring the laughs. This is a must-read!
