I am William St. Clair, and I first fell in love in my youth. I had grand plans to propose to Calliope on her eighteenth birthday. Due to unforeseen circumstances, namely Thomas Harley, it did not happen. I am now twenty years into service in the British Army, and known as Colonel William St. Clair, and have never stopped loving my Callie. I am in London with plans to retire and find some happiness for my future.
Calliope
Although I fell in love as a young girl with William, the boy next door, I married Lord Thomas Harley and am now the Dowager Countess of Knox. And through all the years, I have never stopped thinking about William. Now widowed but still young, I want more in my life than living as a guest in the house I called home during my marriage, and I loathe the idea of being a burden to my grown son. It’s time for me to take control of my life. A visit to Lady Ambrosia, who made a wonderful match for my son and new daughter-in-law, is in order. Is there a man out there for me?
Publisher’s Note: This humorous adult romance contains elements of mystery, suspense, danger, explicit scenes and domestic discipline. If any of these elements offend you, please do not purchase. This is book two in the series but can be read as a standalone.

Very Enjoyable Historical Romance with spanking
I found this book very enjoyable and and I liked all of it, most especially the several steamy scenes and the spanking that usually went with the steamy parts. The main trope is a later in life second chance at love ❤️ and the way it was handled was quite terrific. There is also a group of spies that must be uncovered and this was good as well. I recommend this book to anyone likes Historical Romances that include some spanking. -
There really isn’t anything I love more than a second chance and I loved seeing Callie and William get their shot at happily ever after. I wasn’t at all impressed with the “mystery” of the story. It inspired Callie to behave in ways that were simply too stupid to live. And for a decorated army officer, William appeared to be woefully oblivious to what was going on around him. In spite of that, I loved William. He’s strong and alpha yet he has a sweet vulnerability about him. I thought Callie behaved decades younger than her actual age, which was both fun and frustrating to watch. The chemistry between the pair is positively explosive. I especially loved that we got to check back in with Tempest and James.
I read a borrowed copy of this book. -
WHAT FOOLS WE HAVE BEEN
The second story in the Regency Matchmaker series will bring Lady Calliope visiting Lady Ambrosia after a successful match of Lady Tempest to her son, James. Callie has been widowed for a number of years, and now with her son married and even a baby on the way, she is hoping for a second chance at happiness. Can she find a marriage that is a love match?
Colonel William St. Clair has served in the Army for over twenty years and is ready to retire. He never married and maybe now it is time to find a wife and settle down. But the army has one final mission for him, uncover the traitors to the crown. To do so, his good name will be brought into question to help open doors to less than savory homes.
The plot will have Lady Calliope keeping an appointment with the matchmaker. She is asked to do some crazy things, including doing cartwheels, and before long, told to return to dinner that evening where she will meet her husband. What a shock to meet up once again with William St. Clair from her childhood, a man she has secretly loved and missed. Fate will bring them back together, and in a whirlwind, they will be married at once by special licenses. But what happens after the honeymoon and William has to resume his cover, and now he has a respectable wife, and his name is in question?
“I trust you completely. I always have. I always will.” “We have been given a rare chance. An opportunity to make amends for folly years ago. Let us vow, here and now, never to forget how fortunate we are. Never to take for granted our love for each other.”
The plot will take on a semblance of cloak and dagger danger and rather than Callie shying away; she will embrace it with gusto. She may be able to garner more information than the Colonel will at a dinner party. Are they amongst a group of like-minded people who are less than favorable to the crown? Will her son forgive her for marrying William?
The story has mystery, suspense, danger, passion, second-chances, a bit of magical matchmaking, plenty of laughing out loud moments, explicit sex scenes and several spankings. You can’t help but love the chemistry between William and Callie and cheer for them finding each other, or maybe Lady Ambrosia bringing them back together after all these years. Oh yes, and there is fadoodling in this story! -
Fun read
Lady Calliope is a little ditzy but so sweet. She dotes on Tempest, Jimmy and her "boys". William is an Army colonel, stern and dutiful. But he loves her so much. Always has. Their later-in-life second chance story is such fun to read.
They became good friends when young and grew to care for each other. When the time came to wed Callie off, his rash actions pushed her away. So he went away. Now he's back, on a mission for the Crown. Lady Ambrosia, matchmaker of Jimmy and Tempest (Book 1), magically pairs Callie with her William. Reunited, they rejoice in finally being together. Her introduction of her "boys" to her new husband was funny and cute. But he's still got a case to crack for his job. And the resolution of that is the sweetest of just desserts. Evil punished and justice served. A fitting end to the devils, with assistance from one who suffered at their hands. -
This is a second chance at love book. Take a feisty fun loving Lady, add one eccentric matchmaker, an intense alpha Colonel, and a little mystery- and you have a great read. This is a second in a series, and while you don't have to have read the first book to enjoy this one, if you did, you will get a great peek back at Tempest, Jimmy and ladies maid, Mattie. I loved the emotion as well as action in this book. It was a fun read!

It's a good book
Really no substance to it I can read 9 chapters in one day this took 3 but then I'm use to Annabelle and Golden Angle whom regency stories are page turners but your books are shot and good and I'm am sure many will enjoy your work. I wish you continue success DH from New York City -
Wonderful book!
Loved the second book in the Regency Matchmaker series as much as I loved the first. Jimmy's mother has decided to give Lady Ambrosia a visit herself after seeing how in love her son and his dear wife were. Excitement, mystery, danger and fun from the start to finish. Can't wait to read book 3 which will further the tale of these wonderful characters . -
Could not finish. Melodrama in the first person
Overly dramatic and, cringe, written in the first person from both points of view.
I rounded up to 2 stars since I didn't finish the book. -
Long lost love
This storyline is different in that 2 people who needed each other, finally found each other. A mystery solved and all ends well! Or does it?
