The perfect magazine for Lolitas. Not only did this magazine feature egl fashion, but also things like baked goods and flowers that lolitas also enjoy. I liked that they included occupations for the street shot segments. When someone has nice things people always wonder what they do for a living. At times they even included prices so that was helpful. I'd give this magazine 5 stars if every volume was released in English, and outfits had details of where every piece was from as well as price. On a side note, the inclusion of bl was a pleasant surprise. -
After 3 issues, all in all I am stll thrilled there is an English-language Gothic & Lolita Bible t all, much less quarterly but Meh, they need a subscription service for the US versions of these too, I keep forgetting to pre-order the latest English-language issue so I am an issue behind--finally hNaoto--it's about time for this interview, spotlight on Samantha Rei (Blasphemina's Closet),First US GLB interview with Mana(2 page spread) then a 5 page photo spread on him as well, too bad it is Moi-meme-Moitie 2007 instead of 2009 (and no prices listed)...there are various and extensive street and event snaps...Hollowed and Haunted photo shoot with UK locations was delightfully creepy (O.o the table!!!!)...and hooray for at least 2 lower heel shoe styles for tall American Lolis--Critique- the backgrounds on Japanese Brand Clothing and American Brand Clothing layouts are too busy and it is hard to see the details of the clothes, bad contrasts, same with 2 of the three pix of Hakuei(PENICILLIN)X modeling BPN--and we all know it is all about the details! Too few accessories shown in Japanese Brand Clothing pages as well. I will try to do better, more linear and cohesive reviews but might stick to inputting the ISBN's of my current Japanese language GBL and reviewing them instead, with cover pix once I find time and master this monster printer/scanner/fax/thingie once and for all =^^=.

A wonderfull gallery of Sweet and Gothic lolita fashion, events, tutorials, and interviews. This issue mentions music artist such as Moon Kana and Aural Vampire. I think there is a slightly larger amount of Gothic than Sweet Loita mentioned in the main articles. Plunty of Sweet and Lovely Lolita pictures inside. There are two sewing charts in Gothic & Lolita, beautiful plaid knickers and a elegant white blouse! This was my first G&LB book. I think they are a tad bit pricey for a magazine even though it is a Japanese subcultre street style in which I am in love with!

Eh. I'm not sure what I was hoping to get out of this book, but it was generally disappointing for me. I suppose part of that is that I'm more interested in the 'gothic' rather than the 'lolita', but there has consistently been more 'lolita' in this mook than anything else. I also find it extremely superficial. I like clothes, but I don't generally define myself by my clothes in the same way usually portrayed in this mook.
