Soul Bursts: Nuggets of Inspiration to Help You Live Your Best Life Reviews
-
Soul Bursts by Jodi Chapman is a self-help, self-improvement treasure to be savored time and again. Chapman covers a variety of issues that could be getting in the way of you enjoying your life to the fullest. She starts each chapter with a wonderful verse which serves as an introduction to the topic and then shares her personal experiences and wisdom in a warm, accepting, non-judgmental way. Each chapter then has a follow-up section with questions and journaling prompts so the reader has a chance to personalize the content.
I especially enjoyed her chapters on how to let go of the things that are getting in the way of self-acceptance, self-love, and living in joy as well as the chapter on what she calls sensitive ones.
An enjoyable and enlightening read! -
I won this book in a giveaway. I found this book to be uplifting, and some of the messages really spoke to me (or to my soul?). I liked idea of slowing down, making time for yourself, accepting yourself, loving yourself, and listening closely for what path you really want to be on in this life. This resonated with me, and it is something that I work on every day. I won the e-book and wish that I had the actual print book, because I feel I would have been able to make use of the workbook activities and would have gone back to certain passages over time. I didn't do any writing with the e-book. I know I could have written in a notebook but for some reason it just isn't the same. That's just me though-- I'm sure it works great in this format for some people.

I loved it so much that I bought a physical copy. This book isn't so much a book to be read straight through; it's more like a daily devotional, something to read a little bit from each day. (It doesn't include dates, though.) I enjoyed this book so much that I wanted a physical copy to pick up and page through when I'm having a rough day. Having the ebook version just wasn't enough.
The text radiates positive energy, encouragement, and uplifting wisdom. It is a book to be savored and turned to again and again. I plan to do just that. If I had a nightstand, this book would be on it. I've enjoyed some of Jodi Chapman's other work, and I highly recommend this book.
I received this through a Goodreads First Reads giveaway.
