Romans, more than any other book, sparked the Protestant Reformation. No other single document has so impacted the development of Christianity. Romans, above all, is a powerful and insightful treatment of God’s plan to save human beings through Jesus Christ and thus speaks to every generation.
Amid an undercurrent of conflict between the Jews and Gentiles, Paul lays out the most complete theological explanation of the plan of salvation in the New Testament. One of his goals is putting to rest any confusion as to his message regarding grace and the law that may have arisen from previous letters to Galatia and Corinth. Thus, throughout Romans, Paul tackles several theological

Author George Knight states,
“All of us are daily confronted by the problems of sin and guilt. And every Christian rejoices in the amazing grace of God who welcomes us in spite of ourselves. Thus it is not only true that Paul’s letter is relevant but that its message is second to none in the Bible or elsewhere in importance for daily living in a complex and troubling world.”

The Epistle of Romans is the most evangelistic book of the New Testament as the Apostle Paul gave to the church in Rome and every reader since a the best explanation of the good news of Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection. George R. Knight’s commentary Romans: Salvation for “All” not only gives the background of the book, but also a clarification of what Paul means throughout his multi-layered sermon. Meant to be read alongside the Epistle, in which the reader can examine the Old Testament verses that Paul quotes extensively, this commentary allows the reader a deeper and all-encompassing understanding of the message that Paul is giving the reader in its correct context. An excellent book that comes in at only 127 pages.

Concise but insightful
The book of Romans contains material for dozens of volumes of commentary and analysis. This little book divided in 13 chapters presents a clear overview of the book and its application in today’s world. -
A clear, readable commentary on the book that launched the Protestant Reformation. Knight provides insights based on the context of the church in Rome to whom Paul wrote his epistle. Perhaps due in part to the fact that he had never visited this church, the apostle outlines the most detailed, general explanation of the gospel of Jesus Christ found anywhere in Scripture, although he links his discussion with copious references to the Old Testament, the only Scriptures available to the church when he penned his epistle. You will be inspired anew with the wonderful truth of God's grace and salvation freely offered through Jesus Christ!
