Kenzie Bennett just wants to attend her sister’s wedding without looking like the loser her mother thinks she is. When she mistakes Camden for her date-for-hire, she doesn’t realize her good fortune. Unfortunately, her ex left her scarred, and even though Camden is everything she’d want in a man, she’s not looking for love.

Camden James needs a distraction from his crazy stalker ex-girlfriend, and Kenzie fits the bill perfectly. Spunky and full of life, she makes him laugh. The more time he spends with her, the more he falls in love. Too bad she’s made it clear there isn’t anything between them.

    Just What I Wanted Today

I was looking for a fun, light romance and this one sure delivered! I felt the butterflies in my tummy as the chemistry jumped off the pages. So good!

  • Lucinda

    Between 3 and 3 1/2.

Well, the title said it all. Kenzie needed a fake boyfriend to impress her family. She hired someone, only she got the wrong man.

Camden decided a trip with Kenzie would be a good way to stay hidden from his stalkerish ex-girlfriend. So, they got a deal.

That's the big plot. It was going well, until sub-plots appeared in the form of Mason and Lexi. The Mason's plot was ridiculous. And Lexi's plot was so short that it was stupid.

Overall, it was light and funny. So, a bonus for me on this gloomy day.

I really enjoyed all the books in this clean billionaire series. Very sweet romances!

  • Tiffany (Bluestocking)

This started out so well and I couldn’t stop laughing out loud. I was enjoying this one and then, the subplots reared it’s ugly head. Mason and Lexi’s appearances just added unnecessary drama that irritated me to no end.

Initially I liked Kenzie but she quickly became annoying. She went from cute & quirky to stupid & impulsive. She literally ran away from all her problems. She was a push over & a doormat and I just wished she would have stood up for herself.

Camden was charming and such a darling but he was obviously a masochist. That’s the only explanation for him constantly going back to Kenzie after the way she treated him. It just didn’t make sense and their romance was far from believable. I did like her aunt Vida though, she was hilarious.

I'm a fan of the fake relationship trope, and I loved how this one took us to multiple destinations as the ruse grew. I also loved the dynamic between the characters- the quirky, slightly crazy heroine, and the hero who was along for the ride. The story was funny, romantic, and sweet. My only qualm is that I'm not the biggest fan of reading romances where a divorcee isn't falling back in love with their spouse. But if you're looking for your next clean rom-com, this one is still good.

This was a pretty amusing book. I really liked Camden. And I liked Kenzie, but I did think that she made some dumb choices in the Mason subplot. I think I would have liked Camden and Kenzie in a different plot better...like maybe if Camden wasn't a billionaire and actually still was a construction worker or something. I also didn't love the way the book ended, but at least (mild spoiler: they ended up together ;-)).

Content: No language or sex. An instance of mild, non-graphic violence.

Disclaimer: I received an advance review copy of this book.

Her Big Fat Fake Billionaire Boyfriend is a stand-alone, clean, contemporary romance from an author with a talent for crafting humorous situations while captivating the reader with plot twists.
However, even for fiction, the “blind date” concept of a going away for a wedding date is a BIG stretch, especially for a woman with such high standards that she doesn’t even drink. Nevertheless, I enjoyed Kenzie and Camden’s story and will recommend this story to my friends.

Is there anything cheesier these days than a billionaire romance story? NO. Did I lap this one up like a dog eating ice cream? YES! Yes, I sure did! Will I read any more of this author's work? Count on it. She writes humorous and morally stand-up characters. Loved it. Perfect brain candy.

    Romance at her sister's wedding

This story had some unexpected twists, but they fit nicely with the overall book. The main characters are unique and a bit quirky but their romance is sweet and the ending is perfect.

  • Emily White

I've liked a lot of this author's books, but this one was a lot of kissing without a lot of actual getting to know each other (aka falling in love).
That said, Aunt Vita might be my favorite supporting character EVER. There should be a whole book of her sayings.

  • CeCe

Did not work for me. In realty, the hero would never be with someone like this woman. I usually enjoy heroines like her, but she was a bit annoying. Their banter was painful to read. It was not smooth or fun.
    DNF.

Her Big Fat Fake Billionaire Boyfriend
    By Victoria E. Lieske

Sweet and romantic, but a tad on the boring side.

  • Donna

    Fun

She has a crazy family and she is the top nut. He finds her quirkiness enduring. They come together by mistaken identity and he can't help volunteering to be her paid escort.

I rarely read wholesome stories. I get a gipped feeling like I’m missing something. This was no different. I think wholesome stories need to pull you in tighter.

    Romance, clean
This was a cute read. Kenzie bowls over Camden, who 'goes along for the ride' literally and figuratively to Kenzie's sister's wedding. Cute premise, Camden is a great guy who loves being treated 'normally' by Kenzie. The psycho ex, was a bit overdone (for my taste, but fit the style of the novel).
V.E.L. always writes cute stories, this was no exception. Camden is the more believable of the two characters. Still a fun escape read.

  • Megan

    Not a great main character

What girl would ever act like that? Helping out an ex that cheated on her. Fictional story that’s totally not believable.

  • Saskia 'follow my shoes' Smith

Lacks any real sex or juice storylines, and it was predictable. it had to many gaps in the storyline. I didnt really take to the characters much sorry i didnt like it.

  • Sara Jo

Kenzie was insane and silly. So over the top.

If you're looking for a fluffy, light romance this book is for you. If you're looking for something with depth and angst then move along go find another book to read.

It's so hard to find a good non-YA romance with no sex or explicit scenes so I was happy I found this book. This book wasn't mind-blowing or overly emotional. I felt like it could have had more depth. I felt slightly unsatisfied after I was done. Its the kind of book where everyone is happy at the end like even the annoying characters. I hated that besides a punch in the face that jerk Mason got everything he wanted so easily.

I think my problem with the book are the last few chapters. A lot of things left me unsatisfied and I wished some things had gone differently.

Also the book seemed to be proving a point that money can't buy happiness and a lot of wealth is not good and all that but pretty much everyone in this story is loaded, even Kenzie so I was just like ok you rich people shut up. I'm sorry this wasn't really an issue with the book but I just wanted to point it out haha.

Also I was so confused with Kenzie and her hesitation. Like sometimes she would think that she can't be with Camden because she feels like Camden doesn't even like her and then sometimes it would be because she is scared of pursuing a relationship even though she knows Camden likes her so which one is it can't be both.

The romance was cute and sweet but as I said earlier I wished there was more to it. Like I don't even know exactly what was missing but it just was.

So overall this was a quick enjoyable read but I'm probably not going to remember anything from this story next week.

    K bye!

I recently read a Victorine Lieske book that I really enjoyed and this is the next one I chose. I’m afraid I wasn’t really big on it though; I had to force myself to continue. “It’s not you, it’s me”, sums up my feelings. I really, really dislike plots involving naïve heroines, I disagree with the follow your heart mantra that’s floating around now, I would’ve never married Mason in the first place, and I most definitely would not have continued to lie for him.
On top of that the rest of the heroine’s life is a complete cliché. She’s an artistic free spirit living the vagabond life and having commitment issues. I feel like I can just see the beads around her neck.
On the other hand, Lieske’s writing is as good as the last book, the supporting characters were fun (or not, as the case may be), and the hero was sweet. Personally, the hero seems a little too good to be true. He’s intelligent and discerning and yet still falls in love with the heroine crazy fast. He’ll probably keep her safe, but I’d never have the patience with her that he has. The only other thing that felt slightly off was that this guy is supposed to be a billionaire and yet he lives way—I mean way—below his income level.
I am familiar with some non-celebrity moneyed, and while many of them are not conspicuous consumers, they do spend their money on services and experiences. So that felt a little weird but it wasn’t off-putting.

I've just finished listening to this little baby by author Victorine E. Lieske and couldn't WAIT to write a review ❤

🔵 Camden : He was quite the funny guy. I liked how supportive of Kenzie he was and never said no to her. He was like a moth drawn to a flame, the more he wanted to avoid catching feelings, the deeper he fell for her.

🔵 Kenzie : She was an interesting character for sure, and I liked the idea of her being a jewelry designer 😍 it's amazing to be able to do what you love and turn it into your source of income ❤ I could relate so much to what she was experiencing. At the end, she was finally able to let go of that fear, and chose to be happy.

This couple was pretty funny, but I guess all of Voctorine's characters are like that 😂 I like how easygoing they are. The plots might not be something out of the ordinary, yet they're the kind you never get tired of reading about or listening to, that is if you're a hopeless romantic like myself haha.

I've been enjoying listening to these audiobooks lately, since I'm in no mood to do anything else. That still counts as reading though, so it's fine ❤

Minus one star because Camden fell too quickly for Kenzie in my opinion, and that doesn't usually happen in real life lol other than that, I really loved it ! ( I will not hide the fact that I cried at the end but 🤫 let's keep this between you and me ).

-'Gravel crunched, and fear ripped through her. Camden stepped out of the shadows. This was it. He was going to grab her and drag her off. She turned and did a ninja move, her hand up and her water bottle pointed at him. He blinked at her as she stood there, wielding her cold drink. “You okay?” He looked totally harmless. And hot. And his lips were twitching like he was trying not to smile.' ...
'“Don’t worry. I won’t spray you unless you try to slice me up or something.” He climbed into the car. “You don’t have to worry about that. I hate blood.” She buckled her seat. “Good, because I kind of like you, and it would be a shame if you turned out to be a murderer.”'-

This book had me in stitches! It was so funny 😂. Victorine Lieske is a gifted author. All of her books are clean. I love everything she writes. 'Her Big Fat Billionaire Boyfriend' grabbed my attention from the start and I couldn't put it down. I read it all in one sitting. It reminded me of a movie "The Wedding Date" (loosely), which I love. I highly recommend it.

I expected a normal clean contemporary setting - but Victorine E Lieske's much more creative than that.

The heroine was not feisty; she was beautiful, and she was very smart, but she'd had a rough time lately.

The hero was an alpha, but tender and kind, too. Just gave us more ways we could fall for him.

The heroine was confused at first - which made her more human. WHY? Read this for yourself!

But she was 100% clear on one one thing: she couldn't stop loving this gorgeous hot tender man. She was a typical heroine for her warm heart. She even helped out people who didn't deserve her help. A pretty loving woman. And this fully hot billionaire...

I really enjoyed watching the lovers grow and change. And of course the HEA.

This book is fine for any age group, but I think 30 + is good, too.
