A close-knit group of friends find an Iraqi map. They are joined by a glamorous war correspondent and travel the length of Iraq, following the original Knights Templar route; in search of a treasure of unimaginable wealth. Encounters with the American security forces, Iraqi bandits and Islamic State, do not deter them from their quest. From the desperate city of Baghdad, they follow the Tigris River south, through the searing heat of the Iraqi desert and into Kuwait. Their journey culminates on the fabulously opulent Orel Island in the Arabian Gulf.

    Great read

This reads as though it’s a true story.
Although it’s a bit cliche’d at times & seems as though some of the story is written to fill the pages, I really enjoyed it. Plenty of action & the story flowed.
I kind of guessed the plot half way through the book so it would have been nice to have had a few more twists.

What an adventure. There is great pace and tension throughout this story. There is a fabulous last minute problem just before it all resolves. This is a book I wanted to keep on reading. The print, too, was easy to read. I wonder though whether it might not be multi-layered enough for the hardened thriller reader.

After going through first three chapters of this book, I didn't knew what to expect, as Author Philip Caine brings this lead character Mr. Jack to live action in pursuit of recovering lost stolen treasure of war, leading his boys with his leadership and tactical qualities putting himself in danger to secure his teammates life and well-being.

Author has very well narrated story in simple words unfolding every character personal and beyond led by his Prime hero Jack Castle, I couldn't keep my kindle down flipping pages until end.

I wish good luck to Philip Caine, and look forward for his future publish.

A promising tale spoiled by a lack of an editor.

Philip knows the region and so the details are convincing. He also has a sense of what a good story needs in terms of suspense.

However, the main character is two dimensional (a James Bond guy who knows the perfect plan every time), there's too much unnecessary dialogue and there are far too many errors (spelling, punctuation and typos).

Sorry but this shows why editors are needed!
