3.5*
While I don't personally like the cover of this book it did catch my eye and drew my attention to the blurb, so I suppose when you think about it did its job perfectly.
Eli Ward is an incredibly successful real estate mogul but after his last three deals have gone south he suspects a mole in his company. He needs to get away, to think and work out where to go from here which is how he finds himself in a run down bar in Brooklyn.
He walked into Flotsam and Jetsam to use the phone but ended up spending time with the beautiful bartender Brooke.
Brooke may be beautiful but she's also no idea who he is and for the first time in so long he knows someone is with him just for him, not his money or status just him and that's intoxicating.
Eli decides to hide out in Brooklyn and do some recon on the old candy factory in Sunset Park he wants to buy and turn into luxury condos.
The building is currently made up of ageing apartments hanging on without a super to fix the problems.
Since Eli needs to lay low he rents one of the Sunset apartments and discovers Brooke also lives there.
Eli spends more and more time with not only Brooke but the other tenants as well and this changes the man and his plans.
This is a lovely little romance filled with some interesting characters (Chris and David were my favourites) which made me smile and even laugh on occasion.
It's obvious how this book is going to go, we know when Brooke will discover Eli's deception and what will happen but it doesn't matter this is just a nice sweet easy read.

With both main characters keeping secrets, this just has to be a recipe for misunderstandings and a fun romantic read! Eli is undercover, wanting to purchase the block where Brooke and an assortment of other brilliant characters live. She’s the lynch pin in drawing the residents together into a supportive community who, together, are striving to protect their homes. Eli and Brooke have volatile chemistry, leading to an explosive romance. However, their secrets could also be a bombshell too far, one to blast their potential HEA out of existence. Can love find them a way?
This is a brilliant, fun read. I loved the banter between the residents, including the two main characters - they are all such a great supportive group! The development of the relationship between Eli and Brooke is great, complete with the help/interference/encouragement of the other residents, though when their secrets are revealed everything falls apart. The ending itself is delightful and I do hope some of the secondary characters will feature in future stories so this becomes a series where readers can keep reconnecting with them all!
I requested and was given a copy of this book via NetGalley and this is my honest opinion after choosing to read it. -
Outstanding.

I enjoyed this book. I would read more like this if they are safe.

Eli, a real estate mogul, is trying to keep his name, and anything associated with him, low key as he's working on a new project. It seems there might be some pushback, he just didn't expect the woman leading the charge. The one he spent an incredible night with, the woman that has no idea who he truly is. To her, he's just your average guy, and he likes it.
Brooke, a graphic designer and bartender as needed, is too focused, and independent, to live her life as her family insists. Relationships aren't for now, but sometime in the future. She has her real family to take care of, the ones of her heart that care about what she wants for herself, and they're all in danger of losing their homes, thanks to a money hungry real estate rich guy.
These two meet when Eli, believing he has a mole within his company, escapes to a Brooklyn bar and meets Brooke, the bartender. Eli is enthralled with the sexy woman that honestly wants him for him, unaware of who he is, and how much money he has.
As Eli continues hiding out, err visiting, the area, he rents an apartment in a building, discovering Brooke lives there too. He and Brooke begin spending time together, and he gets to know the other tenants as well.
But we all know Brooke will discover who he really is, and that he wants to tear down there home. Can Eli convince Brooke he's changed his mind? Has he really? Can he save the building before Brooke and the others lose it all? Will Eli and Brooke be able to work through their issues and find their HEA?
One-click now and follow along as a man and woman connect, and begin falling for one another, but the truth may change everything.

What a great story this is, it hit all the high notes for me. First there's Eli and a wild cast of characters, Brooke hotel heiress who has shunned her family business in favor of living in the Bronx, slinging brews a few nights a week while working of her latest book and did I mention Eli? Right, Eli.
Brooke lives in a old building in the Sunset Park neighborhood of the Bronx. She works part time at a local bar, where she meets Eli. As soon as he walks in, she knows he doesn't belong there. He's dressed to nicely and screams money. He also awakens feelings she thought were long past dead.
Mentally she counts the days, weeks, stops when she gets to months. She flirts a little, he flirts back and he helps her close the bar and they steam up the office in back.
Brooke lives in an old building that has a laundry list of things that are wrong, the owner disinterested in repairs and there are only a handful of tenants. Brooke is determined to keep things together and while parts of the neighborhood are being revitalized, they are worried they'll be out on their backsides when the owner sells the building. The cast of characters that live in the building provide the best comic relief in this book, along with Eli and Brooke.
Within a few days Eli is moving into the building. To be closer to Brooke, also to go off radar to figure out who the mole is in his company that is tipping off another big developer in the city and he fears it is his partner and best friend. Meanwhile Brooke, doesn't know who he is, that he's rich (think Forbes) and that he's a developer. They carry on a relationship for several months growing closer, until one night at a required to attend benefit by her parents, she is dumbfounded to see Eli as the host and Spokesperson for the charity. Leaving the stage his sister warns him off there is an angry brunette looking for him and she turns and flees and here comes Brooke. Angry, hurt and the whole gamut of emotions. She half listens to Eli, but doesn't fully hear him out. She leaves, telling him to flake off. Determined to garner support not just from the tenants but the neighborhood, she plans on holding a meeting and will do everything in her power to keep Eli from booting them out of their homes.
Meanwhile, Eli is a bear to be around. Brooke holes up in her apartment and doesn't leave, hasn't showered and is living on junk food. The neighborhood meeting soon approaching, can Eli present his plan for the building? Can he win Brooke back over? What about the mole in his company?
And what will become of Brooke and Eli?
You have to read this book. It has a little bit of everything the banter was hysterical, a little mystery as a small subplot, a crazy group of tenants, some delectable steam and Brooke and Eli. You find yourself hoping things will work out for them. It isn't often I get invested in the end result of the story, this one roped me right in!
Great story Regina!! I loved it!

This is the first book I have read by the author and I have to say I definitely enjoyed it. Neither Eli nor Brooke were looking for a relationship when they met one another in a die bar in Brooklyn but neither could deny the attraction although it was supposed to only be a one-night stand. But when circumstances brought them together again, Eli wasn't about to miss a chance to get to know more about Brooke without ever revealing his secret. While of course it was obvious that Eli's secret was going to be revealed and even when, it still was a fun read. It had a fun storyline with likeable secondary characters, which makes me want to read more by this author.

Graphic designer and part-time bartender Brooke Worthington has a torrid one-night stand with a mysterious stranger who walks into her seedy bar in Sunset Park one night. She never expects to see him again so imagine her surprise when he turns out to be her new neighbour.
Eli Ward is a real-estate mogul from Manhattan but his last few projects have all been snatched from under his nose by a competitor, convinced he has a mole in his organisation her decides to let no-one know about his new projects, something that he thought of when his hot one-night stand let slip about Fairway Supermarkets sniffing around the neighbourhood. Eli decides to go undercover to acquire an apartment building which he will develop into luxury apartments in what looks like an up-and-coming area. He first attempts at going incognito fail spectacularly when he turns up wearing his designer-label clothes but gradually he gains the trust of his neighbours, all whilst planning to move them into alternate accommodation. But the longer he spends with his neighbours the more he comes to question his business model.
This felt like a mash-up between the character played by Sandra Bullock in the film Two Weeks Notice and an episode of Undercover Millionaire. Brooke has a heart of gold, she's surrounded by cliches of rom-com - the gay couple and the single mom - she actually comes from a wealthy family but has rejected their cold snobbish attitudes, she's confident and kind and sexy and talented. Eli, on the other hand, appears to be a kind-hearted man with blinkered vision about his business until he learns to see the other tenants as 'real people'.
I liked this but it was a little too on the saccharine side for me, a bit too 'nice'. In my opinion it slipped from a romance into an unrealistic, idealised fantasy. I like a bit more grit and real life in my romance. Recommended if you need to read about nice people getting their rewards.

Plot: 3/5
Characterisation: 3/5

How much I enjoyed it: 4/5
Both Eli and Brooke are laying low. Eli from having betrayed by someone in his company after a competitor got the best of him. Brooke from trying to live her own life away for her high society family.
So what happens when you put two people who insists on keeping things light but slowly grew attached despite the subterfuge? Yup, you get oodles of guilt, denial and feeling like you get your heart ripped out.
The hidden identity trope is a pretty common one especially when it involves the royalty/wealthy protagonists hiding their identity because they want to be love for themselves. Apart from that, there's isn't anything interesting about the main characters love life. I was more interested in the neighbours and how they bond living in the complex. -
The Billionaire in Her Bed by Regina Kyle
The heart is a tricky vessel. It's a central organ of the body that controls lives. It can be fragile, it can be strong, can feel with emotions that overpower. Can lift one up, tear down and be easily broken, but it's capacity for love is endless. Regina Kyle gives this multifaceted treasure free reign in The Billionaire in Her Bed. One women's quest to follow her heart leads her on a trek of self - discovery. She finds herself, but at what cost. Caught between the people she loves and the man she wants is not the best place to be. Eli is a man with secrets and his biggest one is surely going to break her heart. The Billionaire in Her Bed takes soul stirring temptation to a whole new level.
-
I thoroughly enjoyed this contemporary romance by Regina Kyle. The characters were engaging and likable, and I thought the storyline was fun and entertaining. Watching the relationship develop between the two main characters kept my interest, and I found the book delightful.
Eli Ward and Brooke Worthington had a passionate night together. She ends up being tied to Eli's new project, but she doesn't know who he really is, which suits him. Brooke is on a path to further her artistic side, much to the dismay of her family, and she doesn't have time for a relationship. Meeting Eli makes her second guess that, but the secrets between them are hard to overcome
Great one by the author! I enjoyed every second spent reading it! Thanks to the author for providing an ARC in return for an honest review. -
I am always surprised when authors are able to build believable relationships between characters in such a quick read. This book is fun, cheesey, and sexy all in one! Regina Kyle does a great job building stories but I wish it was longer so that she could go into more detail.

Brooke Worthington is the black sheep of her family in the way she does the complete opposite to what her parents want for her. Finding a man to spend the rest of her life with is the last thing she wants to do until she meets Eli Ward and begins to spend time with him. However, Eli is keeping things from her and when she learns the truth, will she be able to accept his reasoning or will they both lose their chance at happy ever after?
This is the first book I've read by Ms. Kyle, yet the moment I finished this story I knew it wouldn't be my last. Really, right from the beginning, this book was enthralling, fast-paced and was an absolute page turner due to the secrets the hero and heroine both have. It's also a story that drew me in immediately because of the instant and intense chemistry between the main characters from the moment they meet. Will they succumb to their intense chemistry right away? Will the heroine give the hero a chance, even though she doesn't do relationships?
As for the dialogue, it was well-written, compelling and I loved the hero and heroine's back stories and their growing relationship that had me intrigued to discover what would happen once their secrets came to light. Moreover, both the main characters were well-developed and beguiling due to the obstacles they have to overcome including the hero finding out what's going on with his company, what will happen to the apartments where the heroine lives and whether the hero can win the heroine's heart, considering her stance on relationships.
With the main characters, the heroine had it tough when it came to dealing with her parents and their negativity towards her when it came to what she was doing with her life. Seriously, it made me feel sorry for her because parents are supposed to be supportive and love unconditionally and it's palpable they favor Brooke's sister over her. However, I liked that the heroine didn't give up on her dreams and continued to pursue what she wanted to do. While the hero, he's confident, hard-working, and I liked how determined he was to find the person that was hurting his company. Certainly, his tactics for finding the person responsible were a tad devious, especially when it's helping him get closer with the heroine, but it was also necessary because who knew who he could trust within the company he owns with his best friend.
Overall, Ms Kyle has delivered a memorable and delightful read in this book where the chemistry between this couple was intense, the romance hot and special in the way these two need each other to heal from their pasts; and the ending had me worried for this couple's happy ever after, as secrets have a way of coming out. However, in saying that, I absolutely loved the way things turned out for Eli and Brooke, as the hero was willing to do whatever it takes to win the heroine back after things went awry. Who knew the secondary characters could be such a godsend? Yet, it was the epilogue that wrapped this story up splendidly and had me smiling because of the hero's surprise and Brooke's response, which would without a doubt annoy the heroine's mother. I would recommend The Billionaire in her Bed by Regina Kyle, if you enjoy the mysterious strangers trope or books by authors Miranda Liasson, Kate Davies, Lexxie Couper and Alexia Adams. -
What can I say? It’s another Indulgence which is my crack of choice in reading. I won’t bore you with my love for the line or the tropes that are associated with it. But I will have to say that this is one of the better Indulgence books that I’ve read in a while. Why do I say this? Because this book deals with two people that not only have secrets about themselves but also the impact of real estate developers buying properties and then displacing the current residents. Ms. Kyle doesn’t preach about it but the way that she tells the show is how much I loved this book.
Ms. Kyle not only incorporates how Eli comes to live at the building where Brooke lives but how the residents at the building slowly become his friends. Doesn’t hurt that Eli and Brooke get to spend a lot of time together getting to know each other and have unlimited smexy times but Ms. Kyle has some of the best secondary characters that I’ve read in some time. Between David & Chris, Charise and the baby and the Feingolds, you get the sense of community right from the start and I fell in love with all of them.
The chemistry between Eli and Brooke is off the charts but what I really liked about them is their ability to actually get to know each other. Of course, these two have massive secrets but it’s NOT what you think. In fact, I think that their secrets are somewhat anti-climatic. Sure, sure the secrets are revealed near the end of the book but Eli and Brooke had already made that connection and fell in love. I loved both Eli and Brooke from the start. No major skeletons in the closet just two people that didn’t expect to find each other and fall in love.
I just loved this book and Ms. Kyle’s style of writing. She writes tightly and to the point. There are no unnecessary fillers in her story. I liked Eli and Brooke’s sister…a lot. I feel like Brooke’s sister needs her own story. I loved her and how she really is there for Brooke, regardless of their parents.
Overall, this is one the best Indulgence books that I’ve read. It’s tight, sexy, relevant and the characters are fantastic. I looked forward to reading more from Ms. Kyle. -
Brooke is a hard working, beautiful, creative woman. She works various jobs to make her own way in life and fulfill her dream of becoming a successful graphic novelist. She was raised in luxury but left that life. She works at a bar a few nights a week and that is where she meets Eli. But she has her own secret, her last name.
He looks like he stepped off 5th avenue (because he did) but he doesn't let Brooke know. He hides the fact that he's a billionaire because he wants to get to know her as a regular guy. He walked into her bar by chance and sparks fly. One night. That's all, no strings.
Fate, luck whatever you want to call it, steps in. Eli comes back into Brooke's life. It gets complicated and the secrets build up. But their chemistry is undeniable. What started out as one night, becomes so much much more.
Sneaky business dealings, business deals falling through, real estate transcations that could change a whole community...this story has it all.
Eli and Brooke have a great story. It's sweet and romantic at times, but keeps you drawn in with the deception and secrets. The story encompasses them and those around them who become part of their lives. I love the supporting characters of David and Chris, the Feingold's and Charise. They were a family of their own making.
Not only will you fall in love with Eli and Brooke, but all the other tenants who reside at Candy Court. A great love story! -
4 1/2 STARS!
A smokin' hot one night stand leads to more than a casual hook-up when life's circumstances bring them together again! The characters are a lot of fun, their supporting cast cracks us up on more than one occasion, and the sweet romance they manage to mix-up during all of their turmoil is something to behold! Really enjoyed this story!
Bartender Brooke Worthington thinks it's her lucky day when a hot sexy suit shows up in her bar just before closing time. She hasn't been dating much lately because she's busy working at the bar as well as on her graphic novel, but she's happy to break her sexual dry spell with this stud! She certainly doesn't expect to see him pop up at a neighborhood meeting in the very building she lives in a few days later!
Real estate mogul Eli Ward is working on the sly to figure out what's going on at his company, but after Brooke mentioned the night they met that the neighborhood is doing well, he decided to buy and tear down a building to replace it with luxury condos. How was he to know it was where the hottie from the bar lived?? As he casually hangs out with Brooke and her friends, his life actually starts to meld well with hers and he wonders if he can do anything differently with this project that will save the great people in this building from being thrown out on the street. When his secret gets out, will their growing relationship be over? -
3.5 stars...Eli and Brooke were great. This book was fun to read and definitely sexy. I liked both characters, but did have some issues with each one.
Eli was a solid H - smart, successful, sexy. I liked him and understood some of his choices, but found his 180 degree turn on how to develop the newly acquired building completely inconsistent with the rest of his description...just didn’t add up for me
Brooke was caring, considerate, but a little aimless. She lived in a slightly rundown apartment, barely made ends meet, complained about her family’s wealth (this could have been more developed), and was determined to make it as a published graphic novelist after years of nothing happening. Even though she was nice to secondary characters, I found her to be a bit judgy. She judged her sister (who was also portrayed inconsistently), judged Eli’s choices, and was quick to blame him for their issues.
I also don’t get his whole hiding out in Brooklyn thing. He’s a billionaire and suspects his partner of major misconduct so he leaves to Brooklyn for 6 weeks. A smart self-made billionaire and that’s his plan? Have his assistant say he’s in a Tibetan monastery? So unlikely its ridiculous. And Brooke is shocked by his identity...ever heard of Google? Geez...talk about two people hiding from reality.
Overall the issues weren’t enough to detract from the story too much. -

Warning ⚠️: fast romance, adult, contemporary, funny.
Narrator score🎧 ; Amy did a great job with this book, I think she could have done a bit better with the male voice but over all it was nice.
Level of anxiety and sadness 😱😢: The story was very nice you had some action but nothing over the board.
The book itself📖: it was a very cute story I liked it. It wasn't spacial at all and yet jt was cute. -
Secrets and chemistry are the main theme for The Billionaire in Her Bed by Regina Kyle. Real estate mogul Eli Ward discovers there’s a mole in his office giving away his plans to purchase and renovate buildings around NYC. While walking the streets of Brooklyn he enters a bar only to meet bartender Brooke Worthington. She has no idea of who he is and that is fine with him; but then Brooke has her secrets. After what was supposed to be a one-night stand, Eli moves into the run-down former candy factory where Brooke lives. Eli is determined to get in on the ground floor of gentrifying the neighborhood, but after spending time with Brooke and her neighbors he has a difficult time wanting to evict them or other hard-working middle class residents of the area. When Brooke discovers who Eli really is fireworks explode, unlike when Eli learns Brooke’s secret. Eli and Brooke have an amazing attraction which Ms. Kyle handles well in her vivid writing.
I really loved reading this book and had trouble putting this book down, reading it in one day. Ms. Kyle wove a wonderful story, drawing me in and not letting go until I turned the last page. I highly recommend this book to other readers. -
I receive an ARC of Billionaire In Her Bed by In Her Bed from the author. Eli Ward and Brooke Worthington are both hiding secrets. He is Co-founder of Momentum Development and President of the Geek Girl Board of directors.. She is a heiress who work part-time in a bar along with being a graphic novelist. They meet when Eli comes into the bar that Brooke is working in. Brooke decides she likes what she sees and since it been a while decides to have a one night stand with him. Eli mean while after finding out that he lost a job is starting to think he has a mole in his company. He decide to lay low , and looks into buying Candy Court the building that Brooke and her friends live in. What doing to happen when Brooke finds out Eli has been hiding who he really and that he is the one buying the building. Can a relationship that starts out with a lie survive? This was sexy and steamy, funny and tender. Romantic. Once again Ms. KYLE has written a story that drew me in right from the beginning and had me at one point telling Eli not to mess this up top badly.. I really hope that this is going to be a series. It was very well done.

Brooke is tending bar at a rundown dive bar when Eli wanders in. He's not their typical customer and immediately catches Brooke's eye. Before long, they've had a one night stand, but then Eli, a wealthy real estate developer, has rented an apartment in the run down building where Brooke lives, totally throwing a wrench into Brooke's life.
Eii's plan is to stay under the radar and hide from the saboteur damaging his company while working on his latest project to tear down Brooke's building and build expensive condos. You know what they say about the best laid plans...... Nothing goes as intended and before long he's found himself enmeshed within the lives of the residents and Brooke.
This is a sweet and sexy romance that fans of the genre will love. I really enjoyed to sparks between Brooke and Eli, but loved their interactions with the other residents. Put this one at the top of your TBR list, you'll be glad you did. -
3.5 stars.
I enjoyed this one.
Brooke and Eli meet at a bar and spend a night together, thinking that would be over. The thing gets awkward when they see each other again and realize they will both be living in the same building. Well, things go from awkward to hot rather fast, lol.
I really liked Brooke, I loved her independent spirit and her desire to make it on her own. I also really loved how she took care of the other tenants, they truly were a family to her. And they were quite the group, lol.
Eli was cool as well, I liked that he wasn’t the jerk everyone thought he was because of his fortune; he was actually pretty accessible and open-minded. It was sweet to see him fall for the tenants as well.
There were some lies and a bit of drama, but nothing major. I don’t know if this will be a series or not, but I’d love to hear about Brooke’s sister in the future.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book
This is my first time reading Rgina Kyle and WOW it was great
Eli Ward is a real estate mogul when his last 3 deals have gone belly up
after a pretty crappy day that includes spilling his coffee on his shirt and
his driver being sick the final straw is the deal falling through. So Eli takes off
and winds up in Brooklyn, Where he goes into the Flotsam and Jetsam bar
to ask to use the phone, But the pretty bartender has other ideas.
Brooke got away from her family and moved to Brooklyn where she bartends parttime
and works as a graphic designer as well. Her one night with Eli was amazing. but what happens
when she finds out her new neighbor is none other than Eli and wow the secrets he is hiding
this was an amazing read HIGHLY recommend -

What can I say, I just love cheesy romances. And The Billionaire in her Bed just fits the bill. We have two people (hot Eli and sassy Brooke) who both withhold some of their personal info, which results in funny situations.
Brooke doesn't know the hot guy from the bar where she had a one night stand with, is in reality the one and only famous Eli Ward. And Eli doesn't know that the sassy bartender, who he can't seem to forget is actually the woman who is trying to prevent him from buying and investing in the building he has his eye set on.
The storyline is a lot like the movie: You've got mail, one of my favourites. So yeah, I really enjoyed this book. Cosy, funny and heart warming. So four out of five stars from me and a thank you to Netgalley and Entangled Publishing for providing the arc. -
Eli Ward knows someone is leaking information from his business until he could figure who he needs to lay low. He wasn't expecting to have a one night stand that was unforgettable and ending up in a small town, or interested in acquiring the building he is renting from.
Brooke is only interested in not being associated with her wealthy family she just want to live a life under the radar. She will fight for what is right and will always be there for her neighbors.
Both Eli and Brooke are not happy when they find out who the other one really is nor is she happy when she finds out how his plans will affect her life.
This story was cute as with most "billionaire Stories" I was expected much more in the heat department, however it still had a story line behind it and it was a fast read.
