The Secret Loves of Geek Girls was a collection of comics, prose, and illustrations all on the themes of dating as a geek. The collection was full of stories from comic creators, sci-fi writers, videogame designers, cosplayers, and fans! The stories were a diverse range on different topics from first dates to discovering your sexuality and they've touched the hearts of people the world over. And this redux project will be the same!

Wouldn't have minded at all if it had been longer!
-
I'd say a little more uneven than I would have preferred, but there is a lot here with which I identified deeply. :)
-
Slightly more uneven than the first Secret Loves, but still a decent read. If you have a choice, go with the ebook version - the use of colour makes a huge difference in the illustrated stories, actually making one more readable. Looking forward to the upcoming Secret Loves of Geeks, which extends to both genders.

Another enjoyable anthology put together by Hope Nicholson. A bit thinner than the other 2 in this series but still great nonetheless. My top 3 stories were:
"A True Story" by Janet Hetherington
Some of the dudes she drew in this story remind me of the adults that worked at the comic book stores I frequented as a youth. All I could think was a 13 year old me would have loved getting a comic book about a lovesick vampire.
"Be With" by The Paolis
I'm definitely considering getting their version of Maleficent as my next tattoo.
"Hot Pre-Teen Make Out Sesh" by Meags Fitzgerald
Awkward comedy at its best. The punchline hits perfectly. -
Didn’t love it as much as the original, but still a cute read in the exploration of life as a girl geek.
Agree with other commenters, would have been great to see it longer, but it was part of a special little Kickstarter program, which had its limitations :) -
This book was released after The Secret Loves of Geek Girls but before The Secret Loves of Geeks to whet the appetite of fans anxious for more intimate tales of love and relationships from fannish women. It delivers.
-
A VERY SHORT middle volume, and I could swear some of the stories are reprinted in vol.3, but I still loved this! "The Secret Loves" was such a fantastic little series, I really hope similar projects (perhaps by another publisher) will be released in the future.
-
I didn’t like it as much as the original, but there are still several gems in here.
-
I wish this sequel wasn't so short as I was really looking forward to the second installment, but I still loved it.
-
The stories in this mini volume didn't resonate with me quite as much as those in
The Secret Loves of Geek Girls, but I'm still very happy that this mini volume exists. I enjoy the mixed format of prose and comics and the wide variety of personal narratives that are on display. -
I was disappointed by this sequel. It felt rushed and a lot less fluid as an anthology than it's predecessor and was drastically short.
-
Das war etwas kurz? The Secret Loves of Geek Girls mochte ich lieber, hier sticht kaum ein Beitrag wirklich heraus.
-
Relatable insights into the lives and loves of "geeks" :) Very short little book though, more like a small DLC expansion to the first book.
-
A nice combination of comics, short stories and life lessons from women that just happen to be geek
-
I really enjoyed this short book. more than the first book, even, I think! Lots of great short prose stories and comics.
