Tequila, you failed me.

You left me in a terrible haze, and I can’t find my god damn wallet.

Or my left shoe.

How the hell does one lose their shoe?

I have no f*cking clue.

All I know is that my night started out with one thing in mind…to have a little fun.

The problem with that? I can’t remember a damn thing, except one.

Morgan’s soft and needy moans. It’s a sound I will never forget, and just thinking about it makes my heart race and my pulse quicken. And I want to hear it over and over again…I crave it.

But Morgan’s a mystery. The harder I try, the more she resists. There’s one thing she doesn’t know about me though…I’m not one to give up.

I’ll play her game. I’ll let her think she’s won. But in the end, I will have her.

Because all I need is Just One Chance to prove she’s meant for me…

JUST ONE CHANCE: is the first book within the (Oh Tequila Series) by C.A. Harms and is a full-length romance novel with a HEA which is spoken in 'Dual Perspectives.' In this we meet 'Morgan and Xavier Stone’ both in their late teens.

In this we meet nineteen year old Morgan who has more than enough on her plate compared to others her age, living with her best friend Marcus and paying her way through college and a protectiveness for her younger brother Toby who suffers from Cerebral palsy, a mother who stays at home full time to care for him and a father who works harder than most to take care of his family.

Morgan’s biggest downfall is not knowing how to have fun, that is until her best friend Marcus ropes her into going to her very first frat party with him.

One imperfect, unforgettable night that has Xavier waking up not knowing where in the hell he is, trying to work out if he'd been mauled by a mountain lion going by disarray of his clothing. The night when shit got a little crazy. And tequila is to blame..

    His shirt missing a sleeve
The whole side of his boxers were missing And only one shoe to be found.
But what perplexed him more was the two new nipple rings and the tramp stamp he was sporting.

I may not remember everything from last night, but there is one sound that keeps running through my mind. A soft whimper, a needy moan.

Xavier isn’t your typical partying, getting laid frat boy, he’s got so much more going for him, he loves his family with a passion, which him and Morgan have in common, and isn’t really into the wild party scene like his frat brothers but is always pulled into the mischief these boys throw at the frat house.

Now he just has to prove to Morgan that he is worth taking a chance on, just one chance is all he's asking for. One chance to prove he's not just a frat boy. One chance to prove that she belongs to him.

I can't tell you how much I loved this, a light often laugh out loud read that threw all the feels at me, the antics these frat brothers played on the other were hilarious and it felt like I was actually there laughing on the sidelines as another brother got dished a prank that was probably well deserved. As soon as I started this I was pulled into the storyline, I read it in record time, loved both characters and I wouldn't change anything about this novel. The author had me sitting in the palm of her hand as I sped through the pages, inhaling everything she threw at me and I can't wait for the next book (red's book) within this series..Definitely recommend this book!!

After my previous read being one of melodrama and misery I needed something a lot lighter, and that's exactly what I got with Just Once Chance. A cute, light-hearted NA romance with really likeable characters and no unnecessary drama or TSTL moves, and a fair few laugh out loud moments too. And the bonus?? Not a freaking virgin in sight - halleluiah!

“Asshole,” I yelled a little louder, and about five guys turned to look in my direction. Yep, let’s party. A party full of men who responded to someone yelling asshole. Oh the possibilities.

The hashtag “dicksaswinging” would follow him around for years… You’d never guess that on a normal day the kid barely spoke. But give him a bottle of liquor and he lost his clothes and danced around a room…

He’s with Ariana… He is always with her. I swear she installed an invisible shock collar on him or something. She snaps her fingers and he runs.

    My Review:

I smirked, snorted, and laughed aloud throughout this clever and wickedly funny tale. I reveled in this beguiling and sexy tale of a sweet college romance. The storyline was unfailingly entertaining and delightfully naughty yet also touching and full of feels. The characters were enticing, endearing, and full of feisty sass and irreverent humor. Oh to be young and stupid and attending frat parties with drunken hijinx, ill-advised and mischievous pranks, revenge plots for those pranks, and idiotic drinking games. I am ever so grateful that social media did not exist to capture my antics for posterity.

”My father always told me that the biggest things in life net come easy, you have to work for them. I was willing to work for Morgan and willing to prove that I wasn’t the jerk she thought I was.”

What a great story! The first chapters are told with flashes between both POVs and it just made me more and more curious to know what happened and what Red did. Hahaha those pranks were super funny.

This was a great and enjoyable read. It was funny, exciting and emotional. Xavier was not the frat douchebag and he tried really hard to show that to Morgan.

”(...) If I want something, I make it known, and I want you. Gaining Toby was just one hell of a bonus.”
“You just don’t give up,” she said. “Do you?”
“No,” I whispered in return. “Not when it’s worth it.”

The fact that Toby meant so much to Morgan and that he was her priority was beautiful and how Xavier seemed to understand that was even more beautiful. It was such a deep and emotional situation. It just made took the book to a whole new level.
Morgan was smart and was not afraid to speak her mind or to go after what she wanted.
I loved it. Enjoyed reading every part of this book.
Can’t wait to dive into Red’s book! 😍

Also.. every book in this series have such an amazing cover! All of them are awesome! They nailed it!

Ever since I read Morgan and Xavier's novella in Beer Goggles, I had been BEGGING CA Harms to write their full story. I was SUPER excited when she announced she was writing it and let me tell you, she did NOT disappoint!!

Hilarious and sexy with some emotion thrown into a very well written story made JUST ONE CHANCE an addictive read for me.

Being in a sorority myself, I know how crazy things can get when you're around other 'greek' members and CA nailed it when describing that vibe/scene Xavier found himself in quite a bit when hanging out his brothers. I really did LOVE that Xavier wasn't all about hardcore parties, though. He had been hurt and needed a night out to purge his vile ex. What he did NOT expect was for that one night to change the rest of his life.

Morgan didn't have the typical college student lifestyle. She was paying her way through college to help out her family since her brother was living with a life-altering condition that was very expensive. Going out and getting drunk wasn't a normal thing for her. AT ALL. But hey, life has a funny way of working out, right?

Xavier and Morgan had an undeniable chemistry that made me root for them from the moment Xavier woke up panicking 'the morning after' (and that scene was hilarious, by the way). They didn't always have the smoother journey, but everything was so worth it!

I truly did LOVE every single moment in this book. I laughed out loud and swooned plenty! I cannot wait for the rest of the guys to get their stories!! FIVE STARS!

JUST ONE CHANCE is the book 1 in the new series Oh Tequila by C.A. Harms and is a full-length romance novel with a HEA and it has dual POV. Morgan and Xavier's story started off as a novella in the Beer Goggles Anthology and when I read their story then, I had hoped they would end up having a full length story written someday for they had an electric and great story which needed more than just a short story and now that someday is here.
Xavier and Morgan meet during a party at his frat house. I have to say the scenes when they both woke up after the party together were so funny yet you could tell this was going to be an amazing ride. Xavier can't remember much of anything from the night before but what he DOES remember, he knows he needs/wants more of Morgan. Morgan is very sweet, kind but whoa does she do stubborn good. Morgan has never taken time for herself and this night she took a step out of her little box into the world that she was unfamiliar with and what happened? She and Xavier ended up having a drunken one night stand that changed her life in so many ways. She doesn’t have time to even have a life all because of her little brother . She's focused on her family and doing all she can for them and her little brother. She is such a sweet woman, totally kind and I rooted for her all the way.
Xavier and Morgan are two people who instantly sizzle when they are in the same room. Their one night stand was the start of a true romance but like all true romances, there are ups and downs, rocky roads to HEA. I got to see Xavier grow from a stupid frat boy to a real man, and I got to see Morgan get that chip off her shoulder and learn to lean on people for support. There are some great heartwarming moments along with hilarious, funny moments between Xavier and his buds = plus it was great watching Morgan and her friend and those moments. Life is what you make it and these two lovebirds grow and become more than a drunken one night stand….what heat and what passion abounds in this story. I look forward to more in this Oh Tequila series with Xavier’s friends.

I absolutely loved Morgan and Xavier in the novella Oh Tequila and now we get that story and so much more because we get to the why's of Morgan and her reaction to her one night with Xavier.

Morgan has a wall up and there's nothing more that Xavier wants but to get to know her better because unlike some of his Frat Brothers he's got so much more going on and he's bound and determined to get those walls to come down. I have to give so much credit to Morgan. She's doing everything she is because of her love for her family.

Just like the novella, there were several times in this book that I was literally rolling with laughter. CA Harms has given us a book that balances the laughs that come from dealing with partying, being a college student, belonging to a fraternity as well as the emotions that come from family commitments that sometimes keep Morgan from being a young woman just experiencing life and college.

  • Zoe

C.A. Harms has certainly written a captivating story here. The storyline flowed really well and was easy to follow and emerse yourself in this book. This is the usual quality to expect from this author.

I adore the charecters in this book and I absolutely adore Toby, this is definitely a story like none other and is truely beautiful. The interactions between Morgan and Xavier wasn't an easy path and was a well fought pairing. Loved the frat boys and their shenanigans. I certainly can't read more on this series.

I would highly recommend this book and author to anyone who loves a really amazing story that is told well. Beauty in it's highest form. C.A. Harms knocks it out of the park everytime. If you get this book I certainly hope you love it as much as I have.

This story had me laughing , swooning , blushing and I even had a bit of emotion break through when it came to a certain young boy Toby. I always enjoy CAH so it was no surprise that I enjoyed this and will definitely be waiting to get Red's story !!

The college life is always fun to read about. Easy to relate because we have all been there in some aspect - partying , relationships , dumb choices !! Morgan is that 19 year old that has too much on her plate and never allows herself to let go and have fun. She loves her family beyond words and her bestie roommate too. She keeps to herself and besides Marcus she never lets anyone in. Xavier may be a frat guy and enjoy a drink and party BUT he isn't as wild and crazy as the rest of his frat bros. He also loves his family and because of his dad he knows that hard work can pay off and he really is a simple guy and a lover at heart. The night Morgan decides to let loose and let her guard down just happens to be the same night that Xavier goes beyond his normal craziness. I have to say they were lucky they wound up with each other because not all crazy frat parties end on a good note !! I laughed a ton when Xavier gets up and starts to realize he has no recollection of where he is and what happened !! I also loved the glimpse we got of the fun and in control Morgan. Obviously this story leads us on the chase - can Xavier catch Morgan or will his frat boy ways ruin the progress he made on her walls ??

  • Kim Brewing

I really enjoyed both of these characters. They both have solid family connections and I love that. I am super happy that there was no unnecessary drama. I will say that Xavier lives in one crazy group of friends, I'd never go to sleep if I lived there! I will say our man Xavier knows how to apologize :)

I'll definitely read more of this series

The h was an annoying and a martyr at times. Liked the H a lot, he had one huge mess up which actually seemed out of character for him. The antics of the frat house were funny but it made the story feel sophomoric. Sometimes I wondered what he saw in her, but it did have some good moments.

After reading the novella Oh Tequila in the Beer Goggles Anthology I was desperate to get my hands on Morgan and Xavier's full story, I couldn't wait to see what happened after the hilarious events that transpired in the novella. This book definitely lived up to my expectations as CA Harms always seems to do!

I didn't think it could get much funnier than the antics that were performed in the novella but I couldn't have been more wrong if I tried. There were so many different times during this story that I was laughing so hard and others that just gave me a good little giggle but nonetheless still had me smiling from ear to ear. The frat house and all the trouble they get in to was a major part of this book that I loved.

Morgan had this bitchy exterior but when you start reading this book you realise why she is this way! She does the things she does not only to protect her younger brother but to help her parents take care of him and for that it is commendable the sacrifices she makes to her own life. While she isn't CA Harms nicest heroine she is one of the best for this reason alone!

Xavier isn't like your typical frat boy only interested in getting laid and partying. He has so much more going for him and I instantly fell in love with his character. He stepped up to the plate and put in a hell of a lot more effort than many guys his age ever would have.

The relationship between Marcus and Morgan was great, the fact that they were so close to each other and Marcus was such an integral part of Morgan's life gave me mad respect for his character.

I read this book in one sitting as I was so engrossed in the story that I couldn't put it down. CA Harms has a way of sucking me straight in and keeping me captivated until I finish her stories and this one was no exception to that!

This book had so much going for it!! It had humour, some sinfully sexy moments, definitely had some cringeworthy moments thrown in too but overall it gave me a case of the feels at times that I felt like my heart might burst from the seams! CA Harms is an incredibly talented author who I have come to be obsessed with and I can't wait to get Red's book! I know there will me more mayhem and mischief to come from this unruly bunch of frat brothers!!

This story was incredible! I nearly peed myself laughing at some of the pranks these guys pull on each other. The connection between Xavier and Morgan is intense. The storyline was fantastic and it flowed effortlessly. I was hooked from the start and quickly found myself engrossed in their story. This is just another shining example of why CA Harms is one of my automatic one-click authors! I love her work and never even have to read the blurb because I know it will blow me away!

Oh tequila....such a fitting name for the series. It plays a big part in the way this story goes.

Morgan is on the straight and narrow. She is serious about her schooling and doing whatever it takes so that she can one day help her parents with her brother. Don't mistake him for a burden, she loves her brother fiercely. Then she meets Xavier on her one night of letting go. Sure he doesn't remember it the next day, but it was worth it. One night. That's all she wanted. But then he keeps showing up. What does it take to make him believe her?

I really enjoyed this story. Funny and sexy, and unbelievable even, it was a great story to lose my weekend to. Some of the antics that were performed were over the top and totally something I could see happening in a real frat house. You can't help but laugh at it all and hope that Xavier can win over Morgan in the mean time.

  • Maddy's Reading

Firstly, I love how C. A. Harms writes friends. This book was funny and crazy yet sweet.
Xavier is part of a fraternity and has awesome (read crazy) friends. He meets Morgan at a party and they have a one-night stand.
Morgan is the exact opposite of Xavier. Where he is carefree, she has the weight of the world on her. When Xavier realises he cannot forget Morgan and wants to spend more time with her, he understands her life and worries.
They are a perfect fit together and i loved their family dynamics. All of their friends were hilarious and super fun to read.
This promises to be the start of a great and fun series and I highly recommend it.

I really enjoyed this book. From page one I was hooked. I read this book in one sitting and wasn’t once bored. I really liked Morgan and Xavier. I liked both their personalities. I loved Morgan’s sass and strength. Her love for her brother is clear to see. I liked Xavier’s determination to get Morgan to give him a chance. The chemistry between Morgan and Xavier is clear to see. I adored them as a couple. They suited one another perfectly. I really liked that Xavier was so accepting of Toby. I liked the bond he built with him. My heart hurt for Morgan when Xavier forgot what he was supposed to be doing. I did like that he made up for it though.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for Red and Blake’s story. I need it now!

Morgan and Xavier share a night together and he is determined to convince her to take a chance on him. This story is hilarious with all of the shenanigans that the frat house gets up to. This is an entertaining as well as a sweet and well written story. This author never disappoints her readers, and I highly recommend her work for all. Looking forward to reading the next book in this awesome series.

This is the first book by CA Harms I have read and I was very impressed.  So much so I am checking her out to see what other stories she has written up.

In this book you have Morgan.  Morgan is a college student who is working a shit job and driving a shit car so that she doesn't have to ask her parents for money.  Her parents are taking care of her disabled brother Toby and are barely making ends meet.  Morgan has no time in her life for fun or relationships.  She only has time for work, school and her family.  One night her roommate/best friend Marcus talks her into a night of fun, attending a frat house party.  He tells her she needs to let loose and have fun.  As the drinks keep coming and she loosens up she is met by a stare from the gorgeous dude across the room.

Xavier is a frat boy, who lives in a house full of childlike frat boys, who love to play pranks.  Well he is not drinking at the party tonight because his frat brother Red is out to pull the biggest prank of all time on him.  He is hanging out at the party of his frat brothers, when his ex Brittney and her new stuck up boyfriend come in.  Well there went the no drinking rule tonight.

During the party Xavier sees a beautiful blonde across the room and they cannot take their eyes off one another all night.  When a frat brother runs out dancing naked in the room they lose each other.  Xavier hits the bottle heavy after that.

The next morning Xavier wakes up naked, missing his shoe, his clothes are torn and he has no idea where he is.  All he knows is he has a pineapple taste in his mouth.  He sits up and stops when a mans voice says....."You weren't complaining last night" Then comes the oh shit what did I do last night moment.

I have to say that this book was funny as shit.  I haven't laughed that hard reading a book in forever.  I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes and people staring.  Those freaking frat brothers do some crazy ass shit to each other.

I really enjoyed this book.  Ms. Harms sure does know how to tell a story.  Her delivery was spot on.  She keeps her readers hooked and entertained.  She puts in a little dirty with a whole lot of funny and it is a breath of fresh air.  She left it open for Red's story and gives you a sneak peek in the end of this book.  I can't wait till Red's story comes out next.  I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a sweet romance filled with lots of humor.

Hilarious must-read, with a sensitive core. 5 stars totally!

C.A Hams is a genius with words. This group of college boys play the worst pranks on each other, from tattoos to piercings, but they will always, always have each other’s backs. The laughs and loyalty amongst them makes the books in this series very easy to read, and lightens what can often be difficult subjects to deal with in real life.

Xavier is Tequila’s first victim, and in the prologue we see him wake up in an unfamiliar environment being eyeballed by someone with a gleam in their eye that doesn’t belong to the soft voice of the night before. Now, he’s freaking out!

Xavier seems to be the quietest of the group, and his boys had decided he needed a night of fun to get over the manipulative girlfriend who left him for a better prospect. What he now has is a blank memory, piercings, a tattoo, AND someone looking like they want him for breakfast.

Morgan views her life through a serious eye, and there is no room in it for the usual trappings of college life. Marcus, her long time best friend and room mate, tells her that for once she can go and get frivolous at a party, giving her one choice. Go voluntarily, or get dragged. Now, the gorgeous man in their apartment the next morning doesn’t seem to take ‘one night only’ as any kind of hint.

Just One Chance is hilarious, but at it’s core are the values of life that are important. There is some completely piss yourself laughing moments, and despite the seriousness of Morgan’s life at present, the glimpse of her prank ability bodes well for her interactions with the boys. I’m looking forward to the next book belonging to Elijah, the perpetrator of Xavier’s morning after Tequila woes. 5 Stars.

  • Paige

I read Clayton’s book first so I thought this one would be good. I could not be more wrong. There’s no chemistry between the H & h, I didn’t laugh. They were lacking personality. And Morgan’s ‘not like other girls’ bs was annoying, like she’s so mentally elevated & she’s ‘tough’. There just wasn’t enough in general. They see each other when they can, have bland love scenes. They’re forgettable 🤷🏻‍♀️

Morgan’s brother has cerebral palsy (they don’t say how old he is) & she only speaks about him glowingly. That is so not real. I have an autistic brother & there’s good times & crappy times, just like any other siblings. No siblings get along all the time so why would having special needs doesn’t mean you’re never a butthead to a sibling sometimes just like anyone else, they’re normal people.(Hopefully this comes off how I mean it to. I just don’t think it’s an accurate portrayal of siblings in general let alone the difficulties that can come along with special needs siblings.)

I also hated that Xavier messes up once & Morgan is so disappointed in him. He’s human, he lost track of time, he didn’t cheat or murder someone. X more than makes up for his mistake, he goes above & beyond for little martyr Morgan.
