My fiancé’s fake, but my 10-inch weapon’s the real deal.

I’m a Navy SEAL, the elite—best of the best.
I never back away from a firefight.
But the moment I meet Shannon ‘Never Been Bedded’ Bailey, all my training goes out the window.
Smart, gorgeous and oddball to boot, the moment I dream about tasting those cherry lips I know I’m FUBAR.
Operation Enduring Hard-On in my pants isn’t helping, or the fact I’ve roped her into fulfilling my sick mother’s dying wish.
She has no idea what she’s getting into, or how good I am at the hustle.
Ring or no ring, I’m going to storm those sweet, clueless curves until she’s begging for more, her lips burning with my name.
Her heart’s too big for a brute like me to break, but when it comes to her body, I’m all in, clear to engage.
Question is, how deep do I go?

Hustle is a full-length bad boy romance with a happily ever after and no cheating. Includes bonus books and exclusive content for a limited time.

Hustle by Teagan Kade a Fighting fit five-star read. Gabe Reed is a Seal on a mission, a mission to make his dying mum happy, after spending years fighting for his country now he’s fighting to keep his mum happy. After planning never to settle down as he doesn’t think he can live through that nightmare again, he gets a surprise when talking to his dying mum and he tells her he has a woman, and not just any woman but a fiancée woman. All so he can put a smile on her face one last time, thinking he won’t need to do much, and when he tells her about this mystery woman, he gets a picture in his mind of this cute little oddball he met at a bar the previous night. Acute little oddball called Shannon.
Shannon Bailey is an oddball, she has a good body but doesn’t wear clothes to suit it, she would rather spend her time with her animals at home that actual people, she spends time with friends when she feels she must but her animals are her kids and family and they are what make her happy. Shannon has never had much interested in boys and men, but one catches her eye and she gives him her number. Never expecting him to actually call, especially not expecting him to call and propose (Fake propose anyhow). Gabe is the man she dreams about not actual reality, he wouldn’t like her like that, would he?
What starts as fake soon starts to turn into something more, but they will face a battle ahead, with nightmares and the past popping up, and Gabe’s mum not well, will the fake become reality? Or will reality be too much to fight for?

2.5stars, why you say well let me tell you. This read like a book not a story or a connection just a book. Does that make sense to anyone other than myself? Probably not but oh well. The book became better in the middle to end with some drama but it still didnt pull the book to story status. This book kinda went in all directions, romance, military, attempt at erotica, weirdness with animals (never got that plot), drama. You see the problem? I think the author tried to pull to many aspects in instead of developing a good strong story and characters.
Gifted read for an honest review.

Loved, loved, loved this book...sexy, sweet and suspenseful

Hustle is a delightful story that captivated me from the start. The center of this story is a sweet, sexy, fake fiancée trope that include engaging characters with undeniable attraction, funny dialogue, and a refreshing plot that captures your heart. Wrapped around this center is a blanket of suspense and all the feels.

Shannon Bailey is quirky, sweet, loves her animals... and is also a virgin. The embarrassing bar scene where her friends all announce she’s a virgin and ready for action is to die for. Too funny, but Shannon takes it all in stride. While her girlfriends abandon the table to go flirt with the bartender, she’s getting hit on by guys, and one particular one starts to annoy her. She’s rescued from a sticky situation by one tall, tattooed, gorgeous man. And although shy but attentive, Shannon manages to exchange phone numbers before leaving the bar. She never imagined Gabe would soon need her help.

Gabe Reed can’t stop thinking about Shannon. He’s finally home after a long deployment with Navy SEALS. Spending time with his mom takes top priority as she lies in hospital from cancer. His mom is worried about Gabe finding happiness, and so Gabe creates a fake engagement to make her happy in her last days. Gabe entreats Shannon for help in the scheme, but along the way of learning more of about each other the attraction builds, and both cannot deny the chemistry between them. Hang on, there’s plenty of steamy goodness when it finally happens for Shannon and Gabe.

What Gabe’s mom said about his “baby penis” being bigger than all the other babies in the nursery was so funny. Embarrassing for Gabe, but absolutely hilarious! Oh, and the whole thing with Shannon’s pets is so endearing. Love the secondary characters which helped the plot along. Throw in a woman from Gabe’s past that threatens the relationship and the story takes a life of its own. Hustle is an entertaining read that I highly recommend for any romance fan who likes their story with likeable characters, funny dialogue and suspense. Ms. Kade did a wonderful job on a well written, refreshing and unforgettable story.

I received and reviewed an ARC of this book.

Gabe is a Navy SEAL (not former, because once a SEAL, always a SEAL according to a SEAL friend of mine) who leaves the service and has a hard time adjusting to civilian life. I appreciated the struggle that Gabe went through because while there are a lot of military members who have difficulty returning to civilian life, I imagine that it's much more difficult for members of the Special Forces. That being said, he also suffered from a past tragedy, which coupled with his experiences as a SEAL, have left him more than a little closed off. However, with his mother dying and wanting to see her oldest son happy and settled down, he takes it upon himself to find a fake fiancee. Enter Shannon.

I have to say that Shannon is a new favorite heroine. She's so quirky and affable that you can't help but like her. I think there's something about her that a lot of people can relate to, as well, which makes her that much more lovable. Shannon is a 23 year old virgin who would much rather spend time at home with her smattering of animals than with the public, however, her friends drag her out and it's a good thing they did, as that is the night our hero and heroine meet.

I'm a huge fan of Teagan Kade, but I think this one might be my least favorite book. I liked it and would have given it a four-star review, but the plot, for me, fell short and lacked substance. There's a little drama and a LOT of sex and I would have liked to see the plot drawn out a little more. Additionally, there were some small inconsistencies that detracted from the book. One such example is when the hero and heroine meet for the first time, she gets his number, but it's not mentioned that she gives him hers. Nor over the next couple days text him. Yet, when the time comes for him to ask for her help, he calls her. If you're looking for a quick read with lots of hot sex scenes, this is the book for you.

This is another very entertaining read from the author. With this book, Ms. Kade offers a twist on the fake fiancée theme throwing in elements of action and suspense which keeps the reader glued to the page until the end of the story.
Shannon is a twenty three year old virgin who loves animals and has quite a few exotic pets. One night her friends take her out to a bar in the hope that Shannon will meet someone to whom she can lose her v-card. As she is hit on by a few men Gabe, a former Navy Seal, steps in to keep the undesirables away. The two chat for a while until they both decide to leave. As Gabe is a hot alpha male, Shannon does not think that she is his type but asks for his number anyway. They exchange numbers with the knowledge that they will not be used but….Gabe’s mother is gravely ill and worries about him. One day while he is visiting her in the hospital, he opens his mouth and inserts his foot when he tells her that he is engaged. Who will Gabe turn to and ask to become his fake fiancée? The unconventional woman he met the other night, Shannon. The more time they spend together, the closer they become. However sometimes life can throw in a wrench that you never see coming. Can Shannon and Gabe have their happily ever after? You have to read the book and find out!
I volunteered to read an arc for a review.

Shannon is a 23 year old virgin and her friends want to change that. They drag her out to a bar and are trying to get her to hook-up with someone. When she refuses to play along, they leave her alone to go flirt with the bartender. While she is sitting alone, a sleazy guy comes up and starts using horrible hook-up lines. He won't leave her alone until this big muscular guy comes over to chase him off. Gabe is a former Navy Seal and the two talk for a while and exchange phone numbers. Shannon hopes that maybe Gabe will be her one but he walks off without even kissing her.
Gabe is home because his mother is dying of cancer. During a visit with her, Gabe realizes that the best way to make her happy is to make her think he is in a relationship. Impulsively he talks about his fiancee Shannon. His mom is thrilled and wants to meet her. Now Gabe has to contact Shannon and ask her to help him out. Shannon is nice and agrees to pretend to be his fiancee. Together the two spend a lot of time together and get closer. Gabe never thought he would love again after losing his girl-friend on a mission. Shannon is so different from her but she brings out strong feelings.
This is a good book with some hot scenes. There is a big surprise and some action. I voluntarily received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.

This is sweet read that brought the Heat. I really liked Shannon she was a quirky woman who is holding on to her V card . She was a delight and I absolutely loved all of her children, ( I am seriously keeping some of their names to use) Gabe is a Navy Seal who is trying to learn how to be a civilian. He and his brother are dealing with their Momma who is dying from cancer. She wants to see Gabe-Gabe happy and find someone to care about. Gabe rescues Shannon one night in a bar he is a complete gentleman, they exchange numbers, Shannon agrees to become his fake fiance just to put a smile on his momma's face.
I liked reading all about the little dates that they went one to get to know one another, they were sweet. The v-card went out the window and that sucker will never be seen again, Gabe definitely put her to use. This was a little mystery / drama / suspense mixed in . I did find that Shannon lost her quirkiness the more she was around Gabe which I missed, and the're was never any mention of her friends any more, ( they aren't much friends to began with) but their was some disconnect between Shannon at the beginning to the end. And the title I wish it went more with the story. I happily read this ARC to share my thoughts .

OMG!!! I absolutely love this one!! It had me laughing, crying & a lot of OMG moments. Seriously I couldn’t stop reading this one, I stayed up half the night reading it just to see what happened next.

When we meet Gabe and Shannon at the bar it’s no surprise he comes to sit with her. Shannon‘s friends leave her in the bar sitting with Gabe. After Gabe make sure Shannon gets home all right it is no surprise she has fallen for him. What is an expected is what game does next with his mother. When Gabe‘s ex girlfriend Triss comes back, that is won the unexpected happens. I was just so happy when Shannon found it in herself to fight for herself. I was so happy to finally see what Gabe‘s mother amended in her will. I only wish Shannon had a reliable friend she could count on especially to be at her wedding. I guess her furry friends will always be there for her.

In the epilogue it was nice to see them on their honeymoon and where they went. In the second epilogue I was so happy to see where their life was going. It was a nice change of pace to see Shannon finally win in the end. In every way possible!!

I loved this book. It was kind of love at first sight with the twist fake fiancee. This story was a little predictable but I was okay with that. There was a twist at the end that I missed seeing it that is always a good thing for me. So I give Teagan Kade a well done to her. Teagan Kade made me laugh, cry and root for all characters. Shannon is principled, has a good heart and will give to a good cause that she feels is worthy. Gabe is impulsive, has a good heart, but he does have demons. When Shannon and Gabe get together sparks fly. They both have secrets. Shannon and Gabe's journey to discovering they deserve love is fun and entertaining. Teagan Kade kept me entertained and turning the pages. When Gabe's past comes back to haunt him it became a little suspenseful. I should have seen it coming before I did. If you don't like instant love then this might not be for you. In my opinion it was good and worth reading but be prepared for a little predictability. I received an ARC edition for my honest and voluntary review.

I absolutely loved this story! I could not put it down once I got started. You have Gabe who is a hot SEAL returning back to civilian life and Shannon who is a quirky, animal-loving, independent woman who's a little inexperienced sexually. Gabe comes to her rescue one night and ends up getting her number. She expects nothing, but he finally calls asking for a favor, a big favor. His mother's dying wish is to see Gabe finally settled down and happy and Shannon was fresh on his mind when he fulfilled his mother's wish. The only problem now is convincing Shannon to play along.
The chemistry between these two was off the charts! Gabe is sexy and protective, and oh so dreamy. Shannon is trying to keep things professional but the more time they spend together the more she feels her walls coming down.
Just as things heat up between them Gabe's past comes back to life and causes big trouble. The suspense had me on the edge of my seat and I loved every second. You get everything from this book and more. I highly recommend it!! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Another hot engaging read by Teagan Kade!
When Gabe the retired Navy SEAL saves Shannon the quirky women who love animals from the sharks at the cleverly named bar, he was taken with her.. but things from his past prevented the encounter from happening. That does not mean he stopped thinking about her though, which is what occurred when his ailing mother brought up the subject of him settling down he may have blurted out something about Shannon.. the look on his mother's face was enough to know he was in deep now.. he had to keep up with this lie. He was going to have to contact her.
Things are going to go from awkward to crazy, to hot to insane and back again!
What a humorous, sexy, suspenseful detailed read that squeezed my heart took me on an emotional rollercoaster ride right along with those awesome characters as they faced the demons of the past and present faced horrible death to come to the other side of all that and left me feeling good in the end!
    Another must read!

  • Megan

This was both sweet and sexy. Shannon was adorably awkward and came into herself while navigating Gabe. Gabe was hard, hot, a bit broken and he found himself in the arms of naive and quirky Shannon. Together they were sexy and tender while floundering under the weight of the hustle and Gabe's past. They made it out on the other side with more than a little kink and a heaping of feels. The drama with Triss was unexpected and not exactly necessary, but I think it was probably good for Shannon to find her own measure of strength and understanding for all that is Gabe. I enjoyed this quick read quite a lot. The animals were an odd yet endearing addition to our introduction of Shannon so I was glad for a little lightness to balance Gabe's struggles with his mom and his past.

I read and reviewed this ARC from the author willingly.

A Review of Hustle by Teagan Kade

Shannon and Gabe - 4.5 stars

First off, gotta say I'm LOVING the cover on this one! Now, to get up on my soapbox for a minute --- I have to say that I don't really care for Shannon's so-called friends. Anyone that makes fun of someone (especially someone that is supposed to be your friend) for being a virgin and degrading them the way they did at the bar in the beginning of the story, just ticks me off. To me, it's slut shaming her for NOT being a slut. Stepping down from my soapbox now. I have to say, even though they didn't enter into their relationship in a normal way, I thoroughly enjoyed the way they got to know each other and the reason for their pretension. Ms. Kade left me thoroughly impressed with her writing style, I just wish the grammatical issues had been taken care of.

I loved this book! This is the first I've actually read by this author, although I have a few more of her books. Gonna have to find time for them now after reading this one. I am partial to military men, especially SEALs. I liked the story and Shannon's "kid's" I could relate to 100%. Gabe made my heart throb. I did, however, approve when he finally explained what happened overseas. I was somewhat upset about his first meeting with the ex. I, too, think Shannon let him get away easy after that. She was a nice change of pace. No screaming jealousy or demands. Just a fun, extremely nice young woman finally meeting a nice guy. I was tickled when Gabe finally figured out what was important. They were fun together with a lot of first in the relationship. I also loved the way her "kids" took to Gabe right off. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Gabe, a retired Navy SEAL meets shy, soft hearted, animal loving Shannon in a bar one night and when another guy tries to bother her, his protectiveness takes care of the problem. From this chance encounter at the bar he makes a promise and begins the Hustle where Shannon becomes his fake finance for his dying mother.

I loved how Gabe took care of Shannon's problem at work and protected her again. The Hustle was looking good when Gabe's mom loves Shannon until his ex shows up after he thought she had died in battle. All kinds of crazy happens and again the 'Best of the Best', the Navy SEALs to the rescue.

The SEAL, Gabe is hot, sexy and compassionate, while Shannon is giving and caring and animal loving and a perfect match for Gabe. This is a great SEAL love story full of excitement.

I borrowed Hustle from the Kindle Unlimited program.

" Home is the sweetest word there is for a Seal"

We've all read a book by a favorite author and thought "this is my favorite and it can't be topped". I thought I had already read THAT book by Ms. Kade. Then I read "Hustle". This story has it all. Every character is great- not just the H/h. I laughed(especially at the names of the "kids" and the VW bug), I cried and I cursed certain characters. During the "coffin" scene, I started bawling- having had the same feelings Gabe was having when I picked coffins out for my grandparents. I absolutely loved Gabe and Shannon. I only hope Ms. Kade has plans for further books about Jason and Matt.

After 10 years as a Seal Gabe is finally stateside to sit with his mother and help ease her passing from bone cancer. Shannon knows what the death of a parent is like having lost her father a few short years ago. Together they pretend to be engaged so that his mum can die happy knowing he has found the right girl. This story is full of moments; moments of love, of fear, of anger, of fun, of loss and you will run the gamut of emotions. I cried,I laughed and I felt Shannon's fear when sky jumping. A terror aspect is introduced with a ghost from the past who suddenly reappears. It is an amazing story and one you should not miss. Does the hustle become reality - you need to read the book to find out.

Excellent contemporary military romance. It took me a while to understand where the title came from. Gabe is no longer an active special ops SEAL. Unfortunately, his mother is dying and wants to see her eldest son happy. Gabe and Shannon meet. She is honest with him about being a virgin and wanting to stay that way until she marries. Gabe realizes Shannon would be the perfect girl to take meet his mom. Shannon agrees to help him get over time their relationship changes. Unexpected dangers from Gabes past arrive. Ms. Kade added intrigue and suspense in this unique romance. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by this author.

  • Laura

One of the more believable "faux relationship" stories I've read. Gabe Reed is a bad boy, a good man, and a former Navy SEAL. He only wants to make his terminally-ill mother happy and she very much wants to see him settled down with a nice girl. Gabe meets Shannon in a bar when he discourages a drunk from aggressively trying to pick her up. Despite being so different from him and being so different than his usual type of girl, Shannon makes a lasting impression on Gabe and he asks her to pose as his bride-to-be in order that his mother won't worry about his personal life anymore.

This story has a terrific twist that I did not see coming. It is well-paced, smart, and steamy. Loses a star for some editing hits and misses. Still highly recommended.

  • Kimkbries

Gabe was recently discharged from the military where he had served many years as a SEAL. When he wants to make his dying Mom happy, he decides to become fake engaged to Shannon. I thought this was a great story about two people trying to find happiness and along the way they have an adventure I needed to see how it turned out. Their connection was off the charts steamy but is it enough for a HEA? With so many things against them, It certainly wasn't easy. I am a huge fan of Gabe. I hope there are more stories from this storyline as there are more eligible men in this book just looking to find happiness that I would really enjoy seeing.
