They improvise with the help of the school lunch lady and a rather intelligent young student to try and stop the toxic infection from getting out of hand.
The aftermath leads Jonah, Judas and JJ to a small farm on the outside of town, where they find the cause of the outbreak with mysterious links to the brother's past.
The Zee Brothers Vol.2: Zombie School Lockdown (Zombie Exterminators) Reviews

Oh what fun to read a Zee brothers tale.
This was the first Zee Brothers book I have read. I purchased the first book in Audio to listen to on the way to TX earlier this year but things happen and needless to sat the stereo in the car broke on the way there so I didn’t get to listen to it. Since reading this book, I went ahead and purchased the short stories and the other ebook. Oh what fun. The concept of Xanadu is hilarious. Judas & Jonah are the Zee Brothers and their friend and sidekick is an ill tempered, insecure and abrasive female named JJ.JJ is the owner of the dog Xanadu, who is quite the little character all on his own with an amazing talent.
This is not you normal Zombie Hunting team, they are tongue in cheek, slap stix funny. In this story the Zombie Exterminators are called out to the Savini Charter School, by the time they arrive on site things have gotten a little out of hand. With their gear left in the truck , (No guns and such allowed in schools.)they need to make due with what they can find. This out break started with one boy not feeling well and quickly escalated to involved other a few of the first being the Principle and his mistress. I found several of the kids and support staff entertaining as well as the Zee brothers them selves. If you want a funny quick read I suggest you pick up one or all of Grivente’s books. -
Another fun audiobook from Grivante and narrator Ian McEuen! With the original trio navigating their newfound relationship, Jonah, Judas, and JJ now face toxic zombies. Along for the ride is Nan, an intelligent student whom Judas befriends, and the school lunch lady, who, it turns out, can kick butt.
The action is fast-paced, the imagery simultaneously preposterous and disgusting, the characters three-dimensional, and again, narrated perfectly by Ian McEuen.
Grivante is a talented writer who intertwines action and comedy flawlessly. Then, add an incredibly talented narrator, and you've got a delightful listening experience.
I'm looking forward to the third installment in the Zee Brothers series, especially with hints that Xanadu's past may catch up to him—and to JJ.
Listen to this audiobook if:
• You enjoy action and comedy intertwined with zombie entrails.
• You want to listen to an outstanding performance.
I received this audiobook for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the audiobook or the content of my review. -
Green slime.
The Zee brothers always seem to manage to stumble through their jobs, winning out in the end, with the help of JJ and Xanadu of course.
I like the brothers, they're simple, good hearted, and make me laugh. -
What a fun slapstick zombie ride! The Savini Charter School is in deep trouble as first one kid and then a pair of adults and yet another kid come down zombie. Jonas and Judah get called out to do their zombie extermination thing. Of course, no one relishes killing kids (or if you do, then you’re a bit messed up). The brothers do their best to follow the posted rules about weapons and tobacco on school property, because they are polite fellows. Ha!
Meanwhile, JJ and Xanadu head over to the school as well and by the time they get there, they provide some much needed backup. I have mixed feelings about JJ as so much of her role is defined by her boobs. Sometimes I really enjoy her humor and her practical nature. Other times, she’s totally insecure and uses her sexuality as a crutch. But she also has Xanadu who is an awesome dog.
The brothers meet a wonderful nerdy girl named Nantucket (cue questionable limericks) who goes by Nat. She’s into science and home made explosives. This odd hobby comes in very useful for the crew as they have to deal with the growing number of zombies. Nat rocks and I really hope she takes the zombie exterminators under her wing. I can see her being their on-call mad scientist.
All together, it was entertaining and wacky. The characters are unique and the story held my attention all the way through. 4.5/5 stars.
The Narration: Ian McEuen was awesome! His performance for this book was outstanding. He really brings the characters to life and he sounds like he’s fully enjoying the story as well. All his character voices are distinct and his female voices are feminine. I really liked his voice for Nat and his rough, rude voice for the principle. 5/5 stars.

Another great adventure with the brothers Zee. This time, Jonah and Judas are called about a potential zombie outbreak at the local school. But, these zombies seem to be a little different than some they have encountered before, with even their blood being toxic if touched!
Of course, you have the usual slightly off-color humor, plenty of gore, and banter between the brothers. You also have JJ and Xanadu, the amazing disco-loving dog who come in to save the day. There is also a potential for romance between our brothers and the gorgeous JJ, but who will she choose? Or, will she even try to choose between them?
If you enjoy the zombie genre mixed with humor, you can't go wrong with Grivante's writings. But, don't listen to this book in public or people will definitely question your sanity (unless they have the same twisted mind that you do!).
The narrator, Ian McEuen, does a fantastic job and really adds a lot to the listener's enjoyment of the book. His voices for each of the characters is perfect and his timing is spot-on. I was given the chance to listen to this book through Audiobook Boom! and chose to review it. -

This is another fun audiobook about brothers Jonah and Judas who are zombie exterminators. This time a school is being overrun by zombies. The Zee Brothers are called in by the school nurse who had seen zombies before when she was in the military. Even though the brothers can’t get to any of their weapons because the school is in lock down, they are able to improvise with the assistance of the school nurse and a student. But even if the school is cleared, they still have to figure out where the outbreak began.
The Zee brothers and their girl, JJ, are all crazy. Her dog Xanadu is cute and has his own way of helping out. Even though this book has more of a plot than the first one, it is still funny. There were times it made me giggle but other times it was laugh out loud funny.
If you like something different, I definitely recommend trying the Zee Brothers. -
The Zee Brothers and JJ are back. This time they are called in on a case at a local school. It all started when Little Tommy was sent to the nurses office with a tummy ache. Tommy didn't just have a tummy ache though. The nurse calls the Zee Brothers. When the Brothers and JJ arrive they get more then they bargained for. Not just has Tommy been turned Zombie but they find a full fledged outbreak on their hands. Problem is all of their weapons are in the van, outside of the school, and they are locked in.
I love these Zee Brothers stories. This is my 2nd and can't wait for a 3rd. This is not your ordinary Zombie book. It is filled with funny redneck humor. I listened to the audiobook and Ian McEwan does an amazing job of bringing this story to life. Both of the books have been short reads but Grivante fills the page with humor and action. These books are not really for kids there is a good bit of foul language and this one even has a touch of sex. -
Jonah, Judas, and JJ are back, along with JJ's dog, Xanadu. A kid turns into a zombie which leads to a terrible outbreak at the local school and the Zee Brothers are called into action.
Where did the outbreak originate? How will the brothers rid the school of zombies? Which brother will JJ choose? (why choose when you can date both! ha).
This was a fun (rated R) short book that I found entertaining. If you can, listen to this on audio. Ian McEuen does an amazing job (and there's even a surprising snippet of music in it too.)
I'll continue to follow the Zee brothers and their adventures. -
My review is based on the audiobook. Zombie School Lockdown is Book 2 and although these can be read as standalone I recommend reading in order to get the full story. The Zee brothers and JJ are fantastic characters and don't get me started on how amazing Xanadu is!!! The humor, action and pop culture references make these stories extremely enjoyable. The narrator is perfect at bringing story and characters to life with distinct and easy to understand voices. I look forward to more in this series!!

Review of the Audiobook
The Zombie Exterminators series is fun and entertaining for anyone seeking a good hearty laugh. It's uniquely hilarious! The Zee brothers always crack me up in every sense of the word with their personalities and quirks.
The narrator has some skills and does a good job portraying the humorous tone of the series. Check out a full narrator review here:

Well Jonah and Judas have their hands full this time. As the title says, the boys get caught in a school lockdown with no weapons but lots of disgusting zombies. They send out a SOS to their girlfriend J.J and her magical dog Xanadu. These two are hilarious, you sometimes wonder how they've survived so far but luckily, they are good at their job. I recommend this book and other Zee Brothers escapades if you love zombies with humour.

Too dang funny
I found this series through Reanimated Writers. I love it. The brother's Zee are hilarious and so dang loveable. JJ is such a bad** and you just want to be her best friend. This is a quick and fun read. I can't wait to get further into their world and see more on how they became exterminators. Pick up the first book though to get to know the characters. -
Cute
This story is funny and cool. The zombies are just as gross as any you've read about. The Zee brothers and their girlfriend JJ are a comical bunch but good at what they do. This book is good for when you want something on the lighter side. -
Zombies at school, who knew that could be funny
I thought the first book was funny and well written, well this one was every bit as awesome as it was if not better. Just hope don't have to wait too long for the next one. -
Great visuals
It's a good continuation of the first novel. I do wish it was a little longer. I look forward to volume 3.
Some of the visuals in this one are great. It's also funny
Well worth the time. -
So the Zee Brothers are back! This time they get a call saying that there has been an outbreak at the school. The brothers go to check it out but end up leaving their Zombie hunting gear in the van because of the schools security system. They were only expecting one Zombie anyway! But what they find is an outbreak that is becoming out of control. The brothers find themselves on lock down with a hoard of Zombies and no weapons. Can they bumble their way out of this??
I love the brothers!! They are so fun and easy to like. They stumble upon these situations and while it seems that they won't get out of them, they somehow always manage to!! They are an absolute hoot!!!
While I liked the plot of this, I felt that I missed something. The outbreak happens because of a chemical component that was produced by a company, and from what I gather, the brothers had an encounter with this company already and stopped an outbreak, that's how they got into the job. I never read that one and so felt like I missed a big part of the overall plot. Also, the love triangle is really not great. I hate love triangles, but when you add in the fact that it's brothers, it just makes it super weird and uncomfortable. I cringed a lot and just wanted her to pick one.
In all, this was a fun read. I really do enjoy the boys and can't wait to see more from them.
Ian McEuen does a great job with the boys. He is easy to listen to and reads this well. He had plenty of voices and tones for the different characters too.
I was voluntarily provided this audiobook for free from the author, narrator, or publisher. This in no way affected nor influenced my thoughts. -
Biting Fun!
I really loved this book. The Zee brothers are so funny and they seem like they would be cool to hang out with. As long as you aren`t a zombie of course LOL. -
Second outing for the Zee Brothers and this is as fun and enjoyable as the first. Interesting characters and light-hearted approach make this an enjoyable quick book.

As always, the Zee brothers had me laughing out loud repeatedly! My favorite? The flashback High School cafeteria scene, with the trebuchet & chocolate pudding. OMFG!!!
