Orgasms, Chocolate & Zombies? Just an average day for Jonah, Judas & JJ.
The Zee Brothers have a strange and dangerous vocation. While some hunt rodents or pests in the dark, Jonah and Judas tackle much larger prey… Zombies. Equipped with a well-loved artillery gun, DeeDee, and a much used and somewhat abused pickup truck called Sasha, the duo clear the night of undead pests, keeping the ever present threat of a Zombie Apocalypse at bay.
When the slap happy pair receives an after hours call for extermination that ends in a gurgle, they head out, guns locked and catch pole loaded. It seems that an incredibly foolish developer built a high cost, gated community atop an old indian Reservation – a Reservation that soon became a graveyard and home to magic much older than the flimsy walled homes that tried to take over. Lost in this sea of new houses, an ancient artifact lay buried till the obnoxious Home Owners Association President disturbed it – and awakened the Zombies from their slumber to retrieve it.
Now it’s up to the Brothers to find it and lay the walking dead to rest. Along the way they meet the woman of their dreams, JJ, her magical and disco imbued dog, Xanadu, a denture wearing Zombie and a High Priest that offers a bit more danger than DeeDee can handle.
Filled with pop culture nods and heroes that just don’t know when to quit, it’s a slap happy, blood filled adventure, as the trio fights off zombies and the brothers fight each other for JJ’s affection.
If you like Ash Vs Evil Dead, Army of Darkness and Scooby Doo, you’ll want to buy this action packed romp and dive into The Zee Brother’s adventures today!
The Zee Brothers : Zombie Exterminators (Standard Edition): Curse of the Zombie Omelet! Reviews
-
Wanting a new audiobook to listen to, I saw that this won an earphone award and decided to give it a try. Ian McEuan does an amazing job and the performance even comes with music. It was a lot of fun to listen to.
The concept of this story reminded me of something that Stephen King wrote in his book "On Writing." King said, and I'm paraphrasing here, you should write what you know and write what you like to read. If you're a plumber who enjoys science fiction, then why not write about a plumber in space. I thought, A plumber in space? I would totally read that book. Seriously. I would.
This novella is about exterminators, not plumbers, and they aren't in space, but they exist in a world with zombies.
Sure. I'll go along for this.
The plot: A nasty zombie infestation has overtaken a gated community (built on an indian reservation). It will take Jonas and Judas (the Zee brothers) Sasha (their 1950's Chevy truck) DeeDee (their twelve barrel, hundred caliber machine gun) JJ, a voluptuous resident and her dog Xanadu, to exterminate the zombies.
It was a fun story to listen to. I liked it. -
I received a copy of this novella in exchange for an honest review. This is in no way reflected in my opinion of this book.
The Zee Brothers: Zombie Exterminators is fabulous! If Edgar and Alan Frog had grown up to be redneck zombie exterminators this would be their story. This illustrated novella had me laughing as soon as I saw the Zee brothers' business card on page 3 and only got better from there. With nods to everybody from Ash (Evil Dead) to Michonne (The Walking Dead) it's impossible not to love this hilarious zombie invasion tale. The illustrations are pure graphic gold that gild the action packed fun in this book. I loved riding along with Jonah, Judas, JJ and Xanadu as they try to keep a step ahead of this zombie invasion and I can't wait to see what adventures the future brings. If you love The Evil Dead trilogy or Tucker & Dale you're going to love this action packed 5 star read. -
This books reads well. I often found myself jumping ahead a few sentences because I wanted to know what was going to happen. I had to remind myself to slow down, embrace the story. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Lots of humor to complement ample personality in all 3 main characters. Looking forward to learning more about Xanadu. Also wondering why I no longer have an 8 ball, I think in need that back in my life for every day comic relief and general mood lifter. Thank you!

The Zee Brothers: Zombie Exterminators was absolutely hilarious! I was laughing throughout the whole story. The dog was a little cheesy but I still liked it. The music references were great! Especially the phone number for the Zee Brothers! "Ask for Jenny" lol. The toothless zombie trying to gum them to death was great!
Ian McEuen does a great job with the narration and each of the characters. I loved the voices! That made the story so much funnier! -
I didn't know if I would like a fun-loving romp with the Zee brothers. But a few pages in, I knew this was going to be a lot of fun. Fast, fun, and funny. But also gripping tension and magical, fairy silliness. The Zee Brothers are ZombieLIT's Cheech and Chong in a Supernatural-like hunter incarnation. If only Sam and Dean had JJ's dog! The Comedy Channel could use a Zombie tv-series and it is called The Zee Brothers.
If you need a zombie fix and you're a fan of Z Nation, Supernatural, The Dukes of Hazard, and other silliness, you'll love the adventures of The Zee Brothers. If you need a darker zombie fix, check out Valerie Lioudis' Aftershock, David Simpson's Zombie Road, and Michael Peirce's Red Dirt Zombies. -
I received this as a bonus to another book I won, and decided to read this short (technically a novella) story first.
It was surprisingly funny— I knew that I would enjoy it when I read their business card— I can't believe they got that amazing phone number.
JJ and her story with Xanadu made up for the fact that she was nothing more than a manic pixie dream girl, which was, honestly, one of my only criticisms of the novella.
Overall, I liked it! -
Entertaining as hell. Really amusing story. This could totally make an epic B Movie. Campy and hilarious with a ton of action and comedy... not to mention a disco dog that poops diamonds. Yes, I said a disco dog that poops diamonds. That alone should make you want to check this story out.

•••I listened to the Audible Audio Edition of this book•••
The performance was incredibly amusing and I loved the distinctly different characters! He has an incredible voice range and fully illustrated each one with his performance. The background music (opening and closing theme and Xanadu's Theme) was a really nice touch! Even if (because of the zombies) I now have "Thriller" stuck in my head :) I will definitely check out more titles by this narrator!

Native American Zombie Mayhem
This series must be listened to (or read) in order. This is the first book. I can't wait to listen to the next one!
Jonah and Judas are zombie exterminators. Getting a call from a new client should be a good thing... Until they hear their client get eaten! They can't let a zombie outbreak get outta hand, so client alive or not, they are on the case. Will they be able to contain the zombie outbreak before it becomes a full fledged Apocalyse situation? Will they be able to break the Curse? Or will they get eaten first?
***This series is suitable for adult readers who enjoy zombie stories with a little horror splashed into a total Grindhouse darkly comedic action paranormal fantasy adventure with a smidge of sexy fun :) -
I love zombies from before they were popular. I've watched many zombie movies and read thousands of zombie books. Let me tell you, none of them made me laugh like this book. Just look at the title, "Zombie Omelet?" What? When I read the title my finger just jumped over to the “Buy Now with one click” button. I had to read it.
“The Zee Brothers: Zombie Exterminators: Curse of the Zombie Omelet!” is one of the funniest and yet best written books that I've read this year. It's just not just another zombie story; it has action, humour and a very cute dog that you will love.
After I finished reading the Non-Illustrated version I was torn about spending money on the same book to buy the illustrated one, but after I read the reviews I decided it was worth it, and yes it was! The illustrations add so much content to the story; put all scenes on perspective and a clear image in your head of what’s going on. Plus they look fantastic!
I think this book is a great graphic novel material and I hope the author will bring us many more of these character's adventures, I would love to read them. -
I had the pleasure of winning this book thru a goodreads giveaway. I am so happy that I did. The Zee Brothers are beyond funny. What a cool, sexy, zombie loving book this is! The Zee brothers Jonah and Judas are just to cool. They make killings zombies sexy as hell. The author Grivante has captured what it means to have a gory, and at the same time fun book that keeps the readers attention. I so hope this is made into a series, because I would love to read more about the brothers!

I did like this book. However. I wish it was more than a short story/novella. I feel that a longer story or a set of short stories in a collection would be a much better book. I do like the chemistry the brothers had and JJ was fairly well drawn out. Other than being a fairly horny and flirtatious woman. She had at least character depth not seen in most short stories.

I received this book for free through a Goodreads Giveaway.
I really enjoyed this book. It's rare to come across a book that's purely fun. There were some out-there moments where I actually laughed out loud. Hopefully we'll read about more the Zee brothers. -
From the beginning of the story until the end, I could not stop turning pages. I was hooked from the very beginning! This story has it all: zombies, action, humor, and amazing characters. I do hope to find out what comes next for the Zee Brothers. Their story must continue!
-
This book is hilarious! Judas and Jonah make a great team! I found myself laughing out loud numerous times. The magic 8-ball really took me back and I can't wait to see what happens next.
-
Judas and Jonah are crazy and very funny also jj is a little spit fire. have to say the dog was a little random I mean come on he poops diamonds.
-
Creative, full of action, zombies, and an ornery 8 Ball...this was a fun read!

This was a fun zombie flick. There’s plenty of humor mixed with a little death and gore. Apparently zombies are a regular issue and there’s specialized exterminator companies out there to see to all your zombie needs. The Zee brothers get a call from an old penny pincher but arrive too late to save him. It quickly becomes clear that they’ll have a much bigger problem soon if they don’t stop the angry dead from rising.
I have a thing for stories that feature old disturbed burial grounds complete with angry ghosts rising to kick someone’s butt for disturbing them. For this tale, that happens to be the burial grounds of a local Native American tribe. It was quite fun to watch the boys scramble around trying to figure out what got these spirits so riled up and how to appease them now.
In steps JJ. For some reason she’s wearing tight shorts and a zipped up leather jacket… in Arizona… and I don’t think it’s winter. She also has a cute little pink gun. Now I’m all for tales that feature both genders going armed but I’ve never been fond of pink guns. On the other hand, JJ obviously knows what to do with said gun so if she wants a pink one, I guess it’s OK. For much of the tale, JJ is a sex object. Sigh… But then she takes down her share of zombies and protects the Zees’s backs a few times. So I’m on the fence about her character. We’ll see if she gets more of a useful role in the future.
Jonah and Judas make a fun pair because Jonah is a bit gruff and likes to be in charge while Judas is a lovable bumbling eager lad that wants to impress Jonah, and later JJ. Though I don’t think Judas will be getting many kisses with his tobacco chew habit – blech! I think I rather kiss a zombie! Jonah is missing some fingers and he doesn’t want to talk about it, grumpy man! While they are constantly jabbing each other, they each protect the other. It’s a good chemistry for this humorous zombie romp.
Let’s talk about Sasha. I really lie Sasha. I know. She’s the truck but she still kicks butt! Sounds like she needs a tune up and her transmission gears have had some teeth knocked out. First no longer works so the guys have to stumble over getting her started in second more than once. Those little touches were realistic and brought back memories of my early standards. Sasha also has a magic eightball gear shifter, so she gets to add her 5 cents to mix on a regular basis. JJ comes to like that eightball quite a bit.
Then there’s Xanadu! To the rescue! With disco music! Yep, you heard me. Complete with disco lighting. I know, it is so ridiculous and so much fun. It’s like the author took a dare on whether or not he could write a zombie flick that involved a burial site, omelets, a pink handgun, an eightball, disco music, and Xanadu. Well, if that’s the case, he did it well. This story was pure fun to listen to. I’m looking forward to future installments.
Narration: Ian McEuen did a pretty good job with this book. There was one or two odd pauses but that was the only technical issue I caught. His voice characterization is spot on. He has distinct voices for all the characters and his female voices are believable. I especially liked the variety of screams and moans he came up with for this tale. There’s also a touch of music worked in at appropriate times which really added to those scenes in the book. -
Yes, that is exactly how I would classify this book - Zombies meets Scooby Doo.
I mean, when you're main bad guy is a denture-wearing zombie, what else can you say? That being said, this book is definitely meant for adults only. The Zee brothers have quite a mouth on them so be prepared for some language. But that's not the only reason. It really would be a shame for such references as the Zee Brothers' phone number (888-867-5309 . . . just try to read that without humming) to be lost on those who weren't part of the 80's!
I really had no idea what I was getting into with this book. My experience with zombies is confined to the first few seasons of the Walking Dead (before it turned into a gory show that no longer has any moral obligations to its viewers) and that movie . . . what is it? Warm Bodies? I am not a fan of gore or blood and guts so I usually steer clear of zombies. But, when I started listening to this audiobook, I spent the first chapter in tears because I was laughing so hard.
The Zee Brothers are hilarious. Think: Rednecks meet Ghostbusters. That's what I envisioned. Their banter had me cracking up at times. Then you add in J.J. and her incredibly mysterious dog, Xanadu, and I was amazed that zombies could be so lighthearted.
Yes, while this is still a zombie book, I picture Scooby and some rednecks, big guns, and a crazy little dog that I'm still not sure about. If you can handle the zombie part, I definitely recommend this book. It is a very entertaining read :)
The narration for this book was perfect. In portraying the Zee brothers the way he did, Ian McEuen gave this book that extra edge. The pacing was great and I found myself really enjoying each minute of this book. This is a narrator I will definitely be checking out again soon. -
Do you have Zombies? Don’t call the Ghostbusters, call the Zee Brothers!
An old man is hearing things scratching and skittering about under neath his house. He calls an exterminator but he determines it isn’t rats, but undead Zombies. He gives the old man a business card for the Zee Brothers who are Zombie Exterminators.
Unfortunately the exterminator was lazy and left the hatch open when he left, before the Zee brothers arrive, the Zombies were out and about already. It’s now up to them to find out how to put them all back in the grave.
I’ve read one of Grivante’s books before, it was a comic and I was pretty brutal against it. But this one, I really liked. It had a great mixture of comedy, action and zombies with a new twist in it that I found to be hilarious.
The writing was pretty good, there was only one or two areas which I noticed mistakes or possible mistakes. There was one big plot hole which was heading toward a conclusion one way, but then that didn’t happen but it was not resolved.
However this one does have DRM via Amazon. So I have to subtract 1 point. -
This was a very short book. It was filled with action and humor. Ian McEuen has done an amazing job with this story. He was great with the narration as well as the different voices.
To me this was not the normal Zombie book. It was more like a Zombie book with back woods Rednecks. It was a fun book to listen to.
Jonah and Judas are brothers and Zombie hunters, they drive a pick up, and argue with each other over pretty much everything. Especially the girl JJ. A housing development was built on top of an ancient Indian burial ground and when an artifact was disturbed it has awoken the Zombies. The Zombies are trying to get the amulet back and along the way they take out anyone and everyone in their path.
They receive a call to come take care of the Zombies in a man's house and the phone call ends with a holler and a gurgling sound. Jonah and Judas head out to find out what has happened, knowing the man was probably killed by the Zombies in his house. This is where they meet up with JJ and her magical and disco imbued dog, Xanadu. -
The Zee Brothers are hilarious! If you love to laugh at zombie shenanigans, this book is for you!
Jonah and Judas are Zombie Exterminators, called in to rid homes of the worst kinds of pests. This time when they get the call, they are too late to save their client, but they still take on the job, because that's what they do! The disturbance of Native American burial grounds and the loss of an amulet (or is it an omelet?) causes zombies to rise in order to get the amulet back. In the meantime, the people in the community have also been turned into zombies.
Laugh out loud funny at times, I truly enjoyed this book. If you are offended by gore, sexist remarks or cursing, don't bother reading this one. If you love the irreverence that Grivante brings to the genre, this is thoroughly entertaining.
I love the narration and especially loved the addition of the music, both during the story (queue Disco!) and at the end of the book. The narrator did a great job and this book is a rapid fire zombie fest. -
I received this audiobook as part of my participation in a blog tour with Audiobookworm Promotions. The tour is being sponsored by Grivante. The gifting of this audiobook did not affect my opinion of it.
What a fun audiobook to listen to! Brothers Jonah and Judas are zombie exterminators. When a house developer disturbs an ancient Indian reservation/burial ground, a High Priest calls all of the dead to find a lost amulet. The dead come back in the form of zombies. So Jonah and Judas jump in their trusty truck, Sasha, and they have their artillery gun, DeeDee with them.
Even though this audiobook is only about 2 hours long, there are a lot of close calls with the zombies and a lot of laughs. These guys are crazy. And their friend JJ is just as crazy as them. She even has a dog named Xanadu who is magical.
If you like something different, I definitely recommend trying the Zee Brothers. -

The Zee Brothers: Curse of the Zombie …
Grivante
They were referred to the job at Winter Oaks by an exterminator who was called out on a job. He quickly told them he doesn’t do zombies but that he knew some guys that would exterminate the undead that this small community undead infestation. It doesn’t take long for this kind of situation to get out of hand.
You are going to love Judas & Jonah Zee Brothers, JJ and Xanadu met them for the first time and became part of the team.
In this volume, they needed to find the amulet that would put the priest back into the ground. Not only are they fighting the fresh Winter Oaks residents but the ancient Pakatini .cursed Zombies. Will they be able to put things right?
This is a fun filled fast paced zombie book. It leaves you wanting to read more of Grivante’s books. -
The Zee brothers Jonah and Judas along with JJ and her dog Xanadu are just trying to keep their area of Arizona from being overrun by zombies and the zombies unleashing their curse of the town. So the funny and danger prone trio go about their business of exterminating the Zombies.
This was a very different kind of zombie book and I really enjoyed it. The characters, location, and plot where all wonderful. Narrated by Ian McEven who I think made it even that much funnier and fun to listen too. This is the first of the series I have gotten to listen too and I certainly hope not the last. -
I love all things zombie, be it in books, movies or tv shows but I have to admit I don't usually laugh while enjoying the stories. Judas and Jonah Zee are zombie exterminators and actually not extremely good at it. They receive a call to rid a house of a zombie but things go sideways and they end up with almost a whole neighbourhood of the dead. I hadn't read any of Grivante's books before but I am definitely going to read more as I've become a huge fan. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves zombies and laughing as you'll get a lot of both in this awesome book.
