The Zee Brothers: Revenge of the Zombie Yeti (A ZX Short) Reviews

Set in Flagstaff, AZ, the Zee brothers are just trying to earn an honest day’s pay by plowing some snow for a ski resort. Alas, there’s a few yetis who will mess up their plans. They aren’t just normal yetis, they are zombie yetis! Never fear, the Zee brothers don’t even bat an eye, already being accustomed to the weird and disgusting.

This was a very fun short story. The camaraderie and humor between Jonah and Judas Zee is well played. Then there’s the truck (Sasha) with her 8 ball gear shifter and snow plow. And let us not forget Brutus the handgun. Both of these inanimate (yet lovingly cared for) objects play important roles in getting the brothers out of trouble.

Yes, there’s some messy gruesome zombie bits but all that graphic mess is sprinkled in among the humor. Zombie yetis! WTH! So much fun! Or perhaps I’m just a little twisted to enjoy a story about a snowplow versus zombie yetis.

If you’ve been sitting on the sidelines wondering if zombie literature is for you, this is a great place to start. Jump right in! This story is currently free on the author’s YouTube site.

The Narration: Ian McEuen did a great job with this story. He had distinct voices for each brother yet they sounded related. I loved the humor and the way the brothers talked about Sasha (the truck) and their handguns.

This I believe is a prequel short story to the Zee Brothers series of books. It’s referenced to in the Curse of the Zombie Omelette. This one is pretty much all action. It starts out with the Brothers being hired to snow plow a parking lot of a hotel. But the Hotel is having a Bigfoot convention and some of the attendee’s brought in some dead Yeti’s who weren’t quite ready to leave Earth yet. It’s up to the Zee Brothers to make their death a little more permanent.

If you are expecting this to be 50 some pages of story like Amazon says, it’s not. The actual story is 7 pages long. The rest was bonus chapters from 3 different books and advertisements for books.

This is a story that I think could have easily been made into a full short story or novella. I was kinda sad it was so short.

It’s available DRM Free via Amazon.

I liked the story, but truthfully, it ended too quickly for me, when I was only about 30% of the way through the book. The rest of the book was excerpts and shorts for other publications or Zee Brothers stories. And although I really enjoyed one story about a mutant monster created from instant mashed potatoes (I want what that author is taking), I was a little disappointed in the brevity of the story.

"Some problems you have to meet head-on with what you got."

This about the time the Zee brothers went to go snowplow a hotel parking lot and ended up having to kill two 500 pound zombie-yetis. Why are there zombie-yetis in a hotel parking lot? You got to read to find out.

I'm always amused at how they name everything. Sasha, their truck. Brutus, their revolver.

This was an entertaining (and bloody) short story.

Zombie Yetis... This book has Zombie Yetis in it.

I'm just going to let that sink in for a bit.

This book is like maybe 6 pages long, and even that is too long for this subject material. Do yourself a favor and don't read this.

Short, gross (zombie yetis!) and very funny, a quick read that flies by.
The Zee brothers are an entertaining pair who really think outside the box.

    These Brothers Rock!!!

Loving these brothers, they make me laugh even when not fighting zombies. I'm looking forward to more adventures with the bros.

Zombie humour at its best! Plenty of school dinner laughs and warnings to NEVER cross the lunch lady! Very funny book!

Another fabulous wonderful story of Judah & Jonas. These 2 are just so lovable and their ideas are definitely ingenious! it's a very quick read, but so worth it!

Zombie yeti??? That was a new one but I really like the characters and they are very quick reads.
