Twisted Tales 2016: Flash Fiction with a twist Reviews

So many great flash fiction stories in this book. Expect the unexpected!

This is the first Flash Fiction I’ve read, and I have to thank Jodie How for introducing the genre to me.
It takes a lot of skill to present a formed story in so few words. A sufficient amount to present a ‘world’, yet not enough to tell it completely, leaving the reader to make their own inferences.
Jodie How’s story ‘Mystery Mail’ got under my skin. It gave me a creeping sensation as I read it, knowing something wasn’t right in the poor girl’s world. I felt a deep empathy for the character when I understood the situation she found herself in, intensified by the fact the character didn’t seem to understand it herself.
Congratulations Jodie! You definitely have writing talent and I’m happy that I have this book sitting on my bookshelf. -
Odd short stories, though I confess, i enjoy odd. They made me wonder and think a little, which I guess is also good.🧐

Very happy to have a story in this beautifully produced anthology of twists with so many varied but well-crafted stories.
