The last thing Mike Reynolds needed in the final weeks leading up to his run for re-election as sheriff of Beaver County, Oregon, was to have his wife, Kelly, discover the body of a famous movie actress. It didn't help that she'd died under mysterious circumstances from a fall off the cliff behind her home.

Did she accidentally fall over it or was it murder? And if she was murdered, who did it? Was it her daughter who wanted her mother's money, so she could give it to the yoga guru she was studying with at his spartan retreat center located in the nearby forest? Or was it her gardener, who desperately needed money to deal with the terminal diagnosis his wife had been given by her doctor? Or could it have been the director of The Triangle, the movie she was about to film, because he was afraid she'd ruin his chances for an Oscar? What about the supporting actress who'd wanted to have the lead role in the movie? Or the screenwriter, who didn't understand why the movie star refused to read the changes he made to the script? Or even the star's ex-husband, furious with what she'd told a reporter about his acting ability?

Join Kelly, Mike, their dogs, and a helpful neighbor by the name of Roger Babowal, as they try to find out what really happened on the cliff that night.

Murder \u0026 The Movie Star (Cedar Bay Cozy Mystery #12) Reviews

I’ve missed several books in the Cedar Bay Cozy Mysteries since the last one I read (I have them, just haven’t had the chance to read them), but when MURDER & AND THE MOVIE STAR came out, it simply sounded too good to wait to read it. That being said, I had no problem jumping into the story and enjoying it without feeling lost from having missed the others.

Ms. Harman certainly knows how to write a mystery that draws you in. It amazes me that she can produce as many books as fast as she does, and keep her stories of such wonderful quality, but she does, and each new book is as good as, if not better than the one before. There are only a few author I know of who can do that.

I really enjoyed the way author Dianne Harman told MURDER & THE MOVIE STAR. She went back and forth to before the murder, and after. With each trip to before the murder another suspect, or motive would appear making it very hard to guess who the killer was. Harman really kept me on my toes all the way through.

Make sure to read the Epilogue of this book. I love the way it was written. It really put a wonderful finishing touch on this story.

If a wonderful mystery isn’t enough reason for you to get MURDER & THE MOVIE STAR (but I know it is), pick it up for the amazing recipes that are included!

Kelly and Rebel are at it again.

Kelley trays to help her husband, Mike asking questions to people surrounding the murdered movie star. There are many suspects and Kelly and Rebel interview them all. Who killed the beautiful aging movie star? Was it her Ex, daughter, screen writer or someone else. This was an exciting book. Am in line for the next one, which I hope won't be too long.

I always enjoy my visits to Cedar Bay to see Kelly and her handsome husband, Mike and to hear about her latest mystery.
This mystery involving a famous movie star was exciting.
I always love to eat at Kelly's coffee shop and come away with a few new recipes.
Thanks again, Kelly for the nice visit and hug those dogs of yours, for me.

In The Kelly Koffee Shoppe Cozy Series. by Dianne Harman, Kelly and her husband, Mike, are involved in another murder mystery. This one involves Jacquie Morton, a very famous actress. She is making a movie named "The Triangle." However, all sorts of problems begin to occur. The main one is Jacquie's own death. She is thrown from a cliff behind her house and lands by the ocean.

I had my suspicions immediately about who murdered her. Wrong! Anyway, it's a simple to read cozy with an interesting character. He is the Indian Guru who needs help up and out of a financial situation. He wants more retreat centers where he can teach Yoga and meditation.

I had one or two problems with this cozy. Mainly, I never did find out the plot of "The Triangle." For some reason, I thought that knowing whether it were a Thriller, a Romance or just Drama would add to my knowledge about the screenwriter, the director and the supporting actress, if needed, Lisette.

Dianne Harman really makes the life of the fictional character fascinating. The lives of movie stars are not always sugar and cream especially if your last movie ended up as a flop. There are also health problems suffered by a growing older actress. This one suffers with not your every day Arthritis or cramp in the old back. She suffers with... I had never heard of it.

It also bothered me that Mike, her detective/policeman, husband had so little to do with the solving of the crime. He really seemed like a flat tire. In this one, Kelly seemed just too good at snooping. After everything is finished with at the crime scene, he shows up. Still, I'm going back again to Oregon with more e books in this series. Love ya, Dianne Harman.

Kelly and Mike are stars in this book. There’s a lot of excitement in Cedar Bay because of a movie star. Especially when she shows up in Kelly’s Koffee Shop. There’s even more excitement when she is found dead. Kelly can’t keep herself from doing a little investigating. Mike doesn’t want her involved but the case is affecting his job. This was a great mystery with a lot of possible suspects. I love the characters and the dogs In this series. And Kelly and Mike have a fun easy relationship.

This is the 12th in the series. The main characters are Kelly and her hubby Sheriff Mike. When a movie star new to the area was killed, Kelly helps Mike as it is an election year and there is a big mouthed Sheriff from out of town who thinks he's a lot better than Mike. Can they figure out what happened before they loose the election ?

Another enjoyable murder mystery by Dianne Harmon

An easy, quick, fun read. Love the characters, but I would have enjoyed more interractions with the dogs, who are always my favorites. Can't wait to make the chili recipe at the end.

    A good mystery

Kelly returns with Sheriff Mike to pinpoint the murderer out of quite a list of possible suspects. Rebel is the ever faithful side kick of Kellys, but only as a cameo appearance. Thank you Ms Harman for the entertainment once again.
