The Schoolmarm and the Preacher Reviews
-
This was a good story though it was somewhat predictable. The spankings were well described and were harsh but done out of love. I wish we could have seen more interaction between the children and James this story had the potential to become so much more. There were 2 sex scenes that did not involve either one of the main characters. Those scenes added nothing to story, they just seemed to be thrown in there.

An entertaining read and a look into what life was for a schoolmarm back in the Old West.

Anne and her two children come to Kirkham, a small western town of good people. She has taken the job as schoolmarm and passing herself off as a widow using a different last name. James is the preacher, who rescues the children from drowning, but soon is courting their mother. He has a secret, too. James was in a gang, and took the name of a victim before heading to Bible College.
Classic domestic discipline western with heart and suspense.
Sequel to Elizabeth's Flight, but works as a stand alone.
