This would have been better if there was any coherent passage of time

The artwork has a shaggy, 1970s underground comic dynamic, and paired with a B-movie mad scientist revenge story and 1980s horror/action gallows humor dialogue, it's the perfect source material for a SyFy original movie. Which is coming our way on Easter Weekend, 2018.

I loved this book! And I just found out there is a movie?!?!?

Hippity hoppity homicide. I recently found out about this comic because one of my favourite actors is playing the title role in the upcoming movie. He is so excited about it so I bought a copy to read and I honestly did enjoy it. I love the concept and, although the story isn't exactly nuanced, it doesn't really need to be. The only thing I didn't like was the art style and I've taken away a star because of that. I found the art really complicated and harsh, even difficult to decipher at times.

I'm very glad they made a movie of this book. The whole story seems perfect for the big screen. If you are a fan of horror comics or movies this will be right up your alley. At first, I didn't think I would like the artwork, but it grew on me and lent a creepiness to the story that was essential.

I kind of thought something that was a mix between the Toxic Avenger and Revenge of the Nerds would be up my alley, but I just wasn't into it.

    2.5 stars.

Jumps right into a simple yet entertaining plot. My main issue is with the art style. It's very complicated and hard to decipher a lot of the scenes correctly.
