Although this book checked a lot of the boxes of things I love - celibate hero, no cheating, no ow/om drama, no pushing away.....it just wasn't my favorite book.
First and foremost, it was a dead spouse storyline. His wife had died in a boating accident - with her lover. Leaving him a single father. He had no clue she was cheating. He was upset at first and then his feelings turned to hatred, so he wasn't pining for the dead wife. That being said, the one sex scene his thoughts would compare the heroine and the ex - thinking things like Tanya (the ex) didn't like this, or Tanya was not this responsive. Noone wants to hear about the dead spouse in their romance stories. Or at least, I don't.
The one sex scene was awkward. He asked her to come to his room to fool around.. He wanted to keep it a secret. She was a virgin, yet he screwed her all night, including anal. It went from him telling her to calling him Master, to her calling him daddy, spanking etc...it was just all over the place.
He was more concerned about his image as an author and what his daughter would think. She finally gave him an ultimatum to either go public with their relationship or they were through. I was glad she finally showed a little self respect and stood her ground. -

Osea esta gente ni se conocía medio bien y ya se amaban y la moral, la dignidad, todo se fue de paseo pff.... fue demasiado irreal la cuestión!! ahhh y de paso una partecita asquerosa... ¬¬

Tenia todo para lo que me gusta en una historia corta: insta-love, padre soltero, héroe célibe, sin drama, HEA.
Simplemente que no me gusto en absoluto esto.
●La pequeña Joy de 3 años habla como una niña más grande.
●La heroína porsupuesto es virgen y la pierde con el héroe.
●Cuando están teniendo sexo, el héroe la compara con su exesposa muerta, uhh odio tanto este tipo de situaciones dónde un personaje compara a sus ex, para mí eso pierde el romance.
●El héore no quiere hacer público su relación con la niñera por el miedo al que dira su hija y los medios, ya se la había follado y quería mantenerla en secreto.
●Le pidio pidio que no dijiera nada a nadie, pero si le pidio que siguiera llendo a su cama por la noche, menos mál que ella le planta cara y le dice que quiere más que eso.
●Al final porsupuesto el reaccióna y ella le perdona todo y felicés por siempre.

I was kind of surprised that this actually worked out somehow eventhough this is a short story. So please expect no actual character development just some light entertainment.

I really enjoyed this Single Daddy-Nanny story!
Aiden and his daughter Joy are picking out a toy for her sixth birthday when they run into Skye, a customer service rep for the store. Or rather, his daughter Joy chooses Skye to help them get the toy she wants from a shelf and won't let go of her. Skye has an unexpected effect upon the both of them: Joy is enchanted with her, coming out of her shell and chatting like never before; and Aiden notices her beauty and kindness and feels sparks when they accidentally brush against each other. He hires her to be Nanny to his child.
Skye quickly comes to adore Joy and totally crushes on Aiden. When he asks her to enter into a secret relationship so Joy won't be hurt if it doesn't work, she agrees--and lets him know she's still a virgin at 22. Things develop quickly from there. -

MALÍSIMO, pero literalmente malísimo.
Generalmente no me gusta decir que un libro es malo, pero este sobrepasa los límites de "mal libro" Lo terminé solo por lo corto que era. -
Not a bad book, but there are some bad grammer and sentence mistakes too!
Aiden is a horror writer, who lost his wife and nearly lost his daughter too, in a boating accident. He also discovered that day that she was cheating on him. So he's been taking care of his daughter, Joy ever since!
Skye is training to be a nurse and works in a toy store! At her shift that day, she helps Aiden and Joy, who takes an instant liking to Skye!
Skye then ends up becoming the Nanny
I thought some parts of the book were ridiculous, like Joy's vocabulary and they way she spoke for a 3 year old!
Also Aiden and Skye's first time together was over the top, especially for her first time!
This was a quick read, something to pass an hour with. -

As this is the first book of Michelle Love’s that I have read, I didn’t know what to expect. I devoured this book in one sitting. I really liked Skye’s bond with Joy. Joy is absolutely adorable! I liked Aiden but I will admit that he annoyed me. He wanted Skye as his own, he said he loved her. Yet he wanted to keep his relationship with Skye a secret. I liked Skye and Aiden as a couple, when they were good they were good. I wish this book were longer. I needed to see more of Aiden, Skye and Joy. I wanted to see a bit more depth to Aiden and Skye’s relationship. Despite this I enjoyed this book.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and an enjoyable read.

Shocked because Joy doesn’t talk to anyone other than him. Needing to write his next book, he hires Skye to be Joy’s nanny. As Aiden and Skye spend more and more time together, they grow closer. Will Aiden finally get his happily ever after? -

I want to preface this by saying I know how hard it is creating a story and getting it published.
With that being said, I didn't like this story at all. Since this is a short story (thankfully), things had to progress quickly. The plot was okay but how it was told was awkward and choppy to me. The dialogue was corny and situations were very unrealistic. I was already put off at the beginning when he arrived at the hospital learning his wife is dead & daughter is alive yet he spends a lot of time with his wife's body instead of going to his little girl. To me it didn't feel right.
On top of that there were a lot of grammar & sentence structure issues and wrong or missing words/autocorrect problems.
I'm glad this was a short story that I didn't spend a lot of time on. -
Unexpectedly good. I would have given this 4 stars if it wasn't for 3 issues I had with the story. First, a three year old does not talk that way. It would have been better if she was 5 or so. Second, Skye's background and virginity was not believable for her personality. I did like how she stood up for herself. Third, Aiden was too rough for their first time. The sex scene could have been split into different scenes to make it more believable. I really like the last couple chapters and the epilogue and that saved this book for me. If you find this book for free or 99c go ahead and give it a try.

I wasn't sure at first what to think about Joy, Aiden, and Skye. I was pleasantly surprised by how cute Joy and Skye were together. Poor Joy had been through some challenges in her short life and she instantly attached to Skye when she first met her. Aiden was quite resistant to Joy's attachment to Skye but soon saw the benefit of the two of them spending time together. The balance between Aiden and Skye was much more rocky. It was obvious from them first that they were both attracted to each other, however they both had situations in their past that made a relationship a challenge. It was a fun journey to go along with them from meeting to a lasting relationship. I will be looking for more books by this author.

This was an instafreebie win I had on my Ipad for a while, and figured I'd dive into. It was a quick read for me, which given the plot, I was quite thankful for.
Single dad and writer Aiden takes his little girl, Joy, to the toy store for a present for her 3rd birthday. Well, father and daughter get one heck of a present in Skye, a store worker, who ends up becoming Joy's nanny, and so much more to Aiden.
Aiden and Skye have a fast-paced relationship, and well, this blogger was definitely put off by their bedroom (and out of bedroom) relationship. The "I love you" was said way too quickly, and well, the sex just didn't live up to expectations for me.
I'd probably give this book 2.5 stars. -
This cute short story will melt your heart in no time. When the young widower brings his three year old daughter to the toy store to pick a toy out for her birthday, neither of them expected to find a woman that would change their lives. But not only did they meet her, Aiden managed to find a way to bring her home, so to speak. When Skye went in to work at the toy store that day, never in her wildest dreams would she have been able to imagine to what extent her life was about to change. The only question would be, would it change for the better, or worse?
Well written and easy to follow, this short will captivate you and have you believing in love at first sight. Beautiful! -

I like how Skye stood up for herself.
I liked that it was HEA.

I received this short story for free and immediately dove in as I was in between reads. Nothing we haven't read before, single dad of beautiful little girl falls for the nanny, but what I didn't care for was his whole approach at getting involved with her and the way it goes during their first sexual encounter (you'll have to read as I'm not going to put a spoiler here).
Some other people might have a different opinion, but it didn't do it for me. :( -
I was captivated from the first to last chapter. It is a story that is so well written and the characters are loveable. I like Aidens daughter she is cute but for the age of three she speaks very well.
I was not into that Aiden wanted hold their relationship as a secret but Skye handled it well.
A short but delightful and enjoyable read. It has laughs, sighs, chemistry, passion, love and trust in it.

I have read several books along this type of storyline. It was an ok read but not impressive. To me the storyline didn’t really flow smoothly. I would have liked to see the book longer in length to possible expand on the characters. However I would not recommend it. I know its a matter of personal taste, Michelle Loves books appear to be popular so I may try another book to see if it was just the book rather than the writer.

It was a cute book. Everything went pretty fast but that was to be expected with the length of the book. I would've probably rated it higher had there been more development. Besides that, I really liked Skye's character. She's super sweet and amazing with kids. I loved Joy. Plain and simple. Aiden was a good love interest, no complaints. I enjoyed the book overall, just the lack of development and writing mistakes that bothered me.

Este libro no se puede ni hacerle una reseña en modo serio, porque la historia es un mierda. Tenía los tropes perfecto para crear un linda historia corta pero fue una mierda el desarrollo. Me reí por lo que iba leyendo y la vergüenza ajena que te da JAJAJAJAJAJAJA nada, si te queres reír un toque recomendado, si lo tomas encerio vas a decepcionarte,un MONTÓN. Una prota sin dignidad, un prota que compara con su ex en el momento menos indicado.

Aiden didn't know if he would ever love again after the death of his wife two years ago. Until he meets Skye in the toy store that she works in, while getting his daughter a toy for her birthday. After seeing the way his daughter opens up to her he hires Skye to be the nanny.... he doesn't expect feelings between them. Loved this book, I love this author

Aiden and Skye met by chance but that didn't matter to his daughter Joy. After the tragedy Aiden and Joy had endured at the beginning of this story, they deserved to be happy. The story was sweet until it turned spicy in the name of research. Love grew and flowed freely in this short story.

Kind of sappy sweet meets selfish beast. Great for a break, or the beach since it is so short, unless you would be easily embarrassed by sex and role playing.
