Everett and Courtney Carroll have survived the Seven Seal Judgments which devastated the planet through a global earthquake and a massive bombardment of meteors. The cities of the earth lie in ruin, and much of the globe’s forests have been destroyed by widespread forest fires.
But have their efforts to stay alive been in vain? The next series of judgements to fall upon the earth are known as the Seven Trumpets. Within this series of cataclysms is the earth’s collision with a giant asteroid, known as Wormwood. The comet will poison much of the planet’s fresh water supplies, making survival near impossible.
Undeterred by the global chaos, the supreme leader of the Global Republic, Angelo Luz, pushes forward with his plans to eradicate his empire of dissenters. In the midst of the mayhem, he sends forth his armies to wipe out the remnant of true Christians as well as the growing number of Messianic Jews.
With each subsequent Trumpet Judgement and every passing day,

Wormwood (The Days of Elijah, #2) Reviews

"Wormwood" Book Two of "The Days of Elijah" series by Mark Goodwin is an excellent read. Hopefully the reader has a good memory of Book One "The Days of Elijah: Apocalypse " and "The Days of Noah" prequel trilogy as you'll benefit reading continuity lacking a synopsis chapter to get Book Two started.

The framework of Revelations is filled with the fictional story and a few preparedness hints here &a there. A few practicalities get skimmed over, but these are more on the needs of real life than religious.

A great read and page turner!

Always a fan of Mark Goodwin, and this was no exception. It is very reminiscent of the Left Behind series by Tim LaHaye, but also a bit more like his other works. Book 2 has the group continuing their fight against the Global Republic forces as well as sheltering best they can from the fiery hailstorm of the comet fragments. The group continues their survival through the post rapture tribulations alongside their guide and friend, Elijah the prophet. For the subject matter, Goodwin always manages to keep things as fairly realistic as possible, taking into account the basic necessities of life, whereas others tend to gloss over the little things, like managing to acquire food. It should be interesting to see what happens next as the world is turned even further into a wasteland now.

    Great series!

I'm a huge fan of post apocalyptic novels and when faith is woven in, I like it even more. Several authors have written fictional accounts of the last days and how things might transpire during the tribulation period. Mr. Goodwin does this splendidly. The story is riveting with plenty of action, education about prepping and food storage, character interactions.. This series has it all and this particular book is no exception! Highly recommend this series!

Another fantastic book in this series!

Mark Goodwin continues to impress me with this series. Combined together with the prequels, this is a very enjoyable read.

Elijah’s friend there at the end very much surprised me. I thought it was going to be another prophet, but he indeed is a very recognizable character from the Bible.

5/5 all round. I’ll be grabbing book 3 now.

    It was OK.

    Wormwood

Wow! This book really makes you think. While I believe in a pre-tribulation rapture, I realize I could be wrong. I can’t imagine living through the seals let alone the trumpets, and possibly the vials. The destruction of earth and the desperation of mankind will be horrible. My prayer is that people will turn their hearts to God and accept His love.

Great read, I anxiously await book three

Mark has done an exceptional job in keeping this series exciting and full of action. The connection with Christian eschatology makes this book even more enjoyable to read.

Best book yet! At the end, I kept gritting my teeth and holding my breath! I had to keep reminding myself to relax! Now to wait for book three in this series; a difficult task, waiting to see what happens!

    The Apocalypse Continues

The struggle to survive is real. Mark Goodwin expertly takes you through the group's daily struggles, from raiders, to cold weather, to meteors bombarding their cave home. Then surprise, an old friend of one of the group appears.

    A preppers take on endtimes

An interesting take on Christian fiction concerning end times prophecy. I find this series interesting if you should be interested in preparation for government upheaval and apocalyptic events.

  • Matthew Kropp

    Great book

I enjoyed this very much and it again as the first book was well written except for a few part that drag on a bit. But for the most part I love it and will continue on to the next book.

  • Patricia Mahoney

    Great Read

I have enjoyed reading this book as well as the previous series “The Days of Noah”. They are informative and insightful.

  • Mary Ann

This dystopian series uses a different twist. A prophet from the OT is included along with scripture quotes. It certainly gives plenty to think about and even question within self!
