His Princess is book one in the brand new series, The Princess, by Alexa Riley. If you have read AR’s books before, you know before going in that it will be over the top sweet and smutty with complete insta-love. This one has all of these ingredients and I loved it!
It is time for King Roman to choose a wife. All it took was one look at a photograph and he knew she was the one. That she would be his. Royal law dictates how this process proceeds, though. Paperwork is signed, they meet, and in one week the wedding takes place. When Roman meets his bride, though, one week is not going to work at all. Roman finds some very inventive ways to see Alena before the wedding. He is determined he will not take her virginity until their wedding night. But, there are plenty of other things he plans to do to make sure she knows who she belongs to.
I have been so excited about this series and this first book absolutely did not disappoint. Roman was so funny with his alpha-ness! And dare I say that little Alena has a back bone. She stands up to the scary King.
This is a short book but as always, left me smiling. I also fell in love with Alena’s sister, Tabby, and Roman’s right hand man and best friend, Vlad. I got a newsletter in my email today and was so, so excited to hear that Alexa added a new book to the series, Forbidden Princess, where Tabby and Vlad will get their own story. Book two in this series is coming out in just a few days called Stolen Princess. I can’t wait.

Aha. Alexa Riley. Love them or hate them, they are a powerhouse duo who have created a formidable Brand.
You might think you’re buying a mere .99 cents book when in fact they’ve succeeded in carving a direct line to your Mastercard debit card, reeling in thousands of readers who auto-buy any and all AR books. Absolutely impressive.
These women are not playing. They know what most women want and they deliver consistently on their promise of Alpha men, blushing females and the inevitable HEA. Easy, peasy, breezy.
I wish other writers would take a leaf from theirbookbusiness plan by creating an alter ego who writes short breezy stories. James Patterson seems clued in with the Bookshots Brand. Harlequin/Mills & Boon-the holy grail of HEA- is another brand which delivers consistent returns. How this niche is overlooked by other authors is beyond me.
Anyway, back to this book.
No surprises here. The H is a king, the h is a virgin, He’s an Alpha and she’s a breeding machine. His seed is all she requires and, he gives it to her. 10 years on, 5breedskids later and they’re are still at it, breeding and cumming.
Sigh. Bliss.

The sense of Jane Austen’s writing is present whenever you turn the pages, which is something that I found ideally refreshing, for my love for Jane Austen’s work is highly devoted. Overall, this story if romance and love at first sight has brought an incredible novella to the romance genre and world. As for the second and third book of this series, the main characters have been revealed as well some are introduced in this first installment. I am excited to read the following books and see what other ways Alexa and Riley can indulge us with!

Okay I'm calling it now. This book is going to be the best in this series!!!

Well this book was almost perfect!
OH YES, it was!!!
The hero, was of course SUPREME ALPHA KING! So with a kingdom to rule this King had to find his perfect Queen, enter Heroine stage left.
The heroine was this sweet unassuming type of innocent princess called Alena. She was scared at first of the hero. She tells him "They call you The Wall.” She was reluctant to accept his proposal and devised a plan to have him call off the wedding.
However, she didn't count on the hero's resolve to marry his Princess and make her his Queen!
However, It wasn't all sunshine and orgasms!
The hero made one small statement that kind of bothered me...
"I’m your god, princess. I’m the beginning and the end of your world. I will give you everything you ask and lay it all at your feet, but there is nothing beyond me. Do you understand?”
To which she answered,
"Yes, my king.”
Now, it might just be my Frenchy sense of romance talking, but I found this too arrogant and frankly cocky!
I DID'T LIKE IT!
I forgave all that with the EPIC EPILOGUE 10 years later.
This was extremely sweet and completely worth it for me.
Also, I was swooning when at their wedding everyone was looking at them and he said to the heroine
“Yes, they are watching The Wall crumble for his queen.”

Sure, it's still mostly smut, but I thought that this visit to smuttopia was worth the trip and I will visit again so I will keep my pass for the next time.
I hope, for those of you who read it, that you enjoy it and for those of you that can't read it for whatever reason, it's the right choice for you.
This is the same old breeding smut and it's the same type of alpha behaviour and that might be tiresome for some, but it was enjoyable for me.

King Roman and Princess Alena were hot together. What I enjoyed most was the relationship between the sisters and their antics made me laugh more than once. I cannot wait for the next...:) -

HIS PRINCESS: Everyone who is anyone knows exactly who 'King Roman' is, and he's decided to stake his claim on Aleana who he's chosen to be his wife. In their world things are still in the dark ages, the female doesn't get to choose her husband, that's completely out of their hands, all is done behind closed doors.
What do you do when you're promised to marry against your will? You devise a plan of dressing up like a hooker, wearing a face caked in makeup that a clown needs lessons off of you, and heels you know damn well you can't walk in, add in the hyena laugh that's not put on and you're good to go!!
This poor unsuspecting King won't know what's hit him!
Maybe you can make a fool of yourself. Make him realise that you aren't the one he wants.
I loved the beginning of this, the giggles galore as the two sisters wrapped their men around their little princess fingers, then just when I was really getting into the story it was over, I really wish this was longer, the feels in the very beginning packed a punch.
For me this was a combination of tarzan and a caveman, he's very backward when it comes to his romancing "Me man, you woman, lets go rut." and many a time he'd be carrying her fireman style to the bedroom to do just that.
Roman huffs out a breath, and the next thing I know I'm over his shoulder and he's leaving Tabby's room and heading for mine.
If you're after a quick, fun read then look no further than this gem.

This was a super short, super sweet fairy tale on Viagra. This was back to the AR of old in all her OTT glory. Insta/love/lust and dirty business.
If you're looking for something to warm you up *wink, wink* this will surely do the trick. I really enjoyed the whole royal theme and the "I am your King", "I will do anything for my queen" usually I don't go for the mushy stuff but I liked it in this one.

Ok, I know y'all are going to want to sit down now because I LOVED this one. That's right a miracle has occurred and I am giving this one 4-Stars.
I am not even sure why this worked for me and I am still really confused over the time period of this book. All the King and Princess stuff seemed old fashioned fairytale time stuff but then we had modern references thrown in. It left me discombobulated.
In any case, even though the heroine was a virgin she actually came across like someone with a brain. Not blindly following the hero into a pit stocked with her very own lotion bottle. And even though the hero was a bit full on he didn't have the creep factor so many of AR heroes have had lately.
Don't even let it be said there are no such things as miracles because folks you have just bore witness to one!

The story takes place in a vague kingdom during an unclear time and an arranged marriage is about to happen between King Roman and little virgin Alena. King has chosen her from one of her photographs and has fallen madly in love with her.
Nothing will prepare him for Alena’s sass:
“Maybe you should rethink who you’re picking to address you, then. I’m sure there is a line of princesses who would be happy to kiss your royal ass.”
Nothing will prepare her for Roman’cockiness:

Naturally Roman will not try very hard to convince Alena that he is the one:

Just a few days before the wedding, Roman cannot stay away from Alena:
I find out I’m getting married to a brute of a king, who’s constantly popping out of nowhere and doing deliciously terrible things to me.
It is a short story. Don’t expect many details about the dresses, the palace, the Kingdom, the subjects, the wedding, and the ball. The story is straight to the point and it is detailed only about the times Roman and Alena spend together.
Nevertheless, it is a wonderful fairytale and I am sure all Alexa Riley’s fans will salivate over this new series “The Princess”. -
I laughed until my stomach hurt. The first chapter started quite good, the second and third were ridiculous, especially when the heroine says, “Please, have mercy, my king.” while she is in bed with the king lol. And the hero replied back, “I’ll give you mercy from my mouth, but I’m not done with you yet.” It was all too much I couldn't even perceive what was happening. All in all, I do like Alexa's works, it's fit for a short read when I need a break from the books I'm reading.

To make sure you’re…” I stop as I reach the hem of the fabric and push it up slightly. “…pure.”
I was surprised with this unknown kingdom. King Roman is a full alpha male with intense look yet handsome. Roman focused only with his future wife, Alena. She's a decent princess, I guess. Pure and innocent. Also a virgin. Definitely AR's style. I enjoyed their arranged marriage somehow.“You saved this part of yourself for me and me alone. I will worship and cherish it just like I will every other part of you. That’s my duty to you as your king.”
I enjoyed their shenanigans so much. Dirty and pervert AF. Roman with his big cock couldn't help to get horny all the time. I liked how Roman went into caveman mode even after their marriage. It didn't take much time for Alena to fall in love with Roman. He's really something she never dreamed of.
Roman really did amazing dirty talk but I hated when he turns into marshmallow. Oooey-gooey romantic talk feels weird to me. The story contains pure skinship without drama which is I've expected from the author. If you expect to see a glimpse about Roman's kingdom, there is none! Also I can't wait for Tabby's story. She's the wild one with Roman's bodyguard, Vlad. Overall, I really liked this over-the-top fairy tale. I totally in love with this fresh ambiance about royal family. Definitely recommended for y'all smut junkies.“Do you not like your own touch?”

I loved this book, everything from the cover, the characters, the story, the sex and the epilogue.
Roman is a king and he's chosen his future queen, Alena never expected to be chosen her sister Tabitha is the one that collects marriage proposals but Alena has no say, it's been decided for her.
Roman fell in love with Alena from a photo and he can't wait to marry her in fact he can't bear to be parted from her at all and the chances of him waiting a whole week are remote.
You could argue there's nothing new here and you'd be right, it's the usual virgin h and the overpowering H but it's so well done. Roman is simply fabulous and who doesn't love a tall sexy handsome king that loves and worships his princess/queen?
Alena is one very very lucky princess/queen. -

What we get is a big, burly king who has very sweet moments of looking out for his little princess...mixed with his wanting her to "Feel Good" all of the time...and then we also get the sisters' banter and giggles...with a surprising turn of a second romance to come.
So as this story closes... They all Lived an Alexa Riley Happy Ever After...with lots of wonderful sexy times and babies to come. The End...

I got warped on a different dimention when I read this book. They were acting like Medieval people, but they have limo and talked about 'hookers'. It was entertaining, I'm really laughing while I writting this review, I mean nowadays who says ...
"I’ll go to her tonight, but I want her bound to me by royal law when I breed her. And make no mistake, she’ll be bred before the sun sets on us another day.”
When I read 'breed' I cracked and automatically thought about dogs. C'mon I know you did too!
Ok kidding aside, I honestly didn't get the memo early and clearly did not do my research cause what I was expecting was a full length novel. Given that this was only 13 chapters I had to brace myself for impact because there's only a handful of novellas that caught me.
Alena is arranged to be married and was not sure about it, given that his future husband, King Roman, is like a dark knight that has a brooding and cold personality. This does not sit well with her. But for Roman, when he saw a picture of Alena it was kinda love-at-sight. Roman wanted Alena and he really can't control himself around her, sneaking orgasms and kissing like teenagers and what not.
I didn't get too much feeling on the development of their story given that this is rather short and I was also looking forward on the story's complication. I wouldn't call it a complication really, it was more like a burp.
The epilogue was a shocker, 10 years? Please fill the gap!
Though I have to admit Roman is the all-in Alpha package you'd want to spend your life with.
Well it was satisfactory in all smut levels to be honest, and the plus side is I got a horny male-alpha lead who cannot wait to get married, loved sex and has a big dick, talented mouth and fingers. Geez I'm a sucker for those.

Funny story with this book! I was in my hairdressing appointment getting my hair colored....I popped open my read on my Kindle...It was supposed to be Riot by Tillie Cole and I am buddy reading with Steph...so away I go and start reading my book...During my read I'm thinking...gee...this is a different storyline than I expected, and they are having lots of sex....no angst....Tillie Cole must really be changing her style....LOL...I come to the end of the story, after an hour and a half....and notice there is a note about the next "Princess " book coming out....WTF!!!!! Then I began to investigate...( You think I would have done that when I couldn't figure how this plot worked into the ongoing series of TC's books..) Lo and Behold, I read the wrong book!!! Only me I tell you...What a dummy I am!!! LMAO...I proceeded to text Steph and let her know, then bursted out laughing at the hairdressers..( Now they are all looking at me like I'm a nut; which I am....but they shouldn't have to know that!!! Ha ha...)
Out of all the books I could have read by accident....I will say that I am glad it was this one! It is done in typical AR style....short, smutty, and no angst.. Just a feel darn good read...and I often need those types of reads with the lifestyle I lead...(high stress!!)
I really enjoyed the heroine...who has been told by her parents that she is marrying a King..And believe me...she is disappointed until she meets the handsome brute...LOL I also adored her sister!!! The first few chapters had me in stitches with their "plan" to turn the King off of her...( It totally didn't work!) I breezed through this story, and when it was done, I wanted more!!! I wish it hadn't ended; but was pleased to see there is a second book with different characters...I will read it soon; but in the mean time...I had better go back to my proper buddy read and catch up with Steph!!! For a person like me, who dislikes short stories, this book is not satisfactory in any way.
- It is too short and undeveloped for my taste...
- Insta love/lust just by looking at a photo...
- The heroine is virgin - the hero is experienced... yikes, I hate this combination!
- A vague kingdom, an unclear time and an arranged marriage as in old times. Do I need to say I hate arranged marriages?
- The hero mentions about breeding his princess all the time as if she is a cow! ... oh so not my cuppa! I lost the count of the children they made.
80 pages of intimacy, posing as a novella!
Safety: Of course safe, no cheating, no other woman, no rape no abuse, no plot twist.... actually, no plot at all. It is only about how the king takes her princess into his bed :))))

Alena has no choice who she will have to marry. She is a princess, and when the King Roman chose her, she just has to agree. Not that Alena is very happy about it. King Roman is a cold giant, but has a soft spot for her and will do anything that she reciprocates his feelings.

The caveman and his princess. It's this kind of story. He is very possessive and just takes what he wants. She is sweet and innocent. The standard Alexa Riley. But the old-fashioned royal theme adds something magical to it. So very sweet and even more hot.

His Princess is a short story that just gives you another level of sweet, swoon and funny. It's for those who like royal hot romances and old-fashioned manners. I apparently do, because I can not wait for the next parts.

After a few slow-burn, depressing books, I really needed some quick, sexy cheese to fill the void inbetween my more emotional reads. This one didn't disappoint.
This book is best consumed when you don't mind insta-cheese and can extend your beliefs to its fullest capacity. When that time is right for you, I guarantee you'll have yourself a good ol, smutty time :)
Told in dual POV with a HEA ten years after. First standalone story in a series. Highly recommended to AR fans, as this is one of the more enjoyable ones. -

I feel like we got Alexa Riley back! Her books lately have felt a little off. I didn't know if it was me or the books, but THIS book is the Alexa Riley I fell in love with when I first started reading her.
I realize the ones that have disappointed me felt like they were so short that all there was to the story was a sex scene. Believe it or not, I need more. I missed having an actual story to go with the possessive alpha I love and adore. Finally, this book felt complete. I can't wait for the next one in the series!

This is my least favorite book of Alexa Riley. This book was utterly ridiculous like every other book by Alexa Riley but every book the smut is on the top but in this, it wasn't the best.
