Outlaw's Reprieve (Bounty Hunters Short Story) Reviews

Martin Marais certainly knows how to write amazing Westerns that pack a punch. This short story continues on from his fabulous ‘Bounty Hunter Series’ which is definitely worth a read. Great characters, with plenty hard men and gun fights from the Wild West. Everyone thought the trouble had passed in the town of Wellhead, now that the shooting had finished, and the Parker gang was in jail. It was going to take a few days for the prisoners to be transferred out of Welland to attend court in the township of Dodge. The Sheriff was pretty keen to get rid of Richard Parker and Marcus Spencer, and for the marshal to come and pick them up so Wellhead could go back to its usual peaceful state. So when Louis Syffere a stranger to the town strode into Joshua Swartz’s saloon, it certainly put everyone on edge. He was an imposing figure, dressed all in black, and no one knew why he would be in town. They would soon find out. This really is an enjoyable story from start to finish.

I enjoyed this short story, the only problem with it was is is not long enough. I look forward to more stories by this author.
