  It's difficult to write a review of a book that takes on quantum mechanics, time warps, the advanced technology of the particle collider in Switzerland and includes characters interacting on a street in my own hometown. These are all ingredients of Robert Carlson 's book Internal Crossing. This book does all these things in a way that held my interest while introducing me to a variety of scientific theories that I found informative and understandable. The author ties these elements together in a way that illustrates how they affect individual characters in the story that are believeable.
  
  The story begins with the experiences of one person who discovers he's not really alone in the universe but linked to many other with backgrounds and experiences similar to his own journey through life. Meeting some of these characters in the book felt a lot like ease dropping on people in the next booth at a restaurant. This is especially true when one of these interactions takes place at a fast food I've been to in my hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania!
  
  Much of the science in the book deals with Project CERN the particle accelorater in Switzerland. People familiar this project will might remember some of the concerns about how it might have caused some worldwide cataclysmic event when it was started. Bob follows a different path with it instead influencing individuals in an entirely different way.
  
  If you like works based on science that's real, mixed with some science fiction adding in mystery and interesting characters you'll appreciate this book. If you're from Pittsburgh you get additional benefit of being able to go home during your read. Its a very good story worth your time and consideration. I hope Bob keeps these characters around in some future work---
  that too would be interesting and enjoyable!
