Sheet Pan: Delicious Recipes for Hands-Off Meals Reviews

I am a horrible cook. To make matters worse, I'm a self-described picky eater, mostly due to the deplorable state of America's food. I need recipes to be simple and healthy; this book achieved both those requirements although embarrassingly, I still don't understand some of the cooking/recipe terms. I do feel that I could make most of these meals, though, and fill my belly- hence the 4 stars.

Underwhelming. I think I'll write my own sheet-pan opus!

Very quick read. It doesn’t seem to be made with a lot of love. But it did what I wanted it to do. While I love the idea of sheet pan meals and do them regularly, it‘s always veg and potatoes with different herbs/spices and either sour cream or hummus. And while I love that year round, this book presented some different ideas in regards to seasoning and ingredients. Bookmarked a bunch, will definitely try.

This sheet pan cookbook has a good range of recipes that seem relatively low- to medium-effort but that would look and taste impressive to guests. I bookmarked several recipes, particularly for seafood ideas that I previously might have been too intimidated to try cooking at home.

Great idea and I gave 3 of these out as Christmas gifts!!

Marketed as easy one pan recipes, but expects you to use parchment or aluminum and then add ingredients gradually….not my idea of easy at all.

-I didn't care for this one. there were gorgeous recipe pictures, but not for every recipe... not for even half the recipes. those gorgeous photos... were REPEATED! the same pictures appear twice in the book for numerous recipes! and the photos for the recipes did not always appear next to the corresponding recipes, but elsewhere in the book, randomly and unlabeled.

-the only recipes I found interesting:
garlicky shrimp with asparagus fries and meyer lemon aioli
cauliflower steaks with capers, anchovies, and winter greens

What kind of maniac doesn't love fast, easy meals with very little clean-up?!?

I'm not sure what I was expecting entirely, but the recipes in Sheet Pan - while delicious - were not as hands-off or effortless as I had hoped. A few of them were simple meals that would be pretty simple to throw together, but a good number of them still required more prep work than I was looking to see. Everything sounded delicious, but nothing motivated me to try the recipe before my library loan ended.
