Loved this series. My daughter gave me the book, and it sat on my nightstand for a long time. I got deperate for something to read while recovering from knee surgery. What a surprise. I followed the whole series. When the final book came out I was living in Sacramento, which is where James Clemens lived (too cool!) I started an email exchange with him. Really nice guy :) Cute, too, I discovered when I met him at a book signing. I presented the books, signed in bloody fingerprints (real neat touch,) to Jess for Christmas. She said it was the best gift she ever received!
At the time, he was also promoting his new books under James Rollins, and my daughter and I have both been devoted fans. Although I like the Sigma series, the vividry of his writing in the Banned and the Banished hasn't been evident. I found he wrote or is writing another fantasy collection, so I will be following up with those. Thanks James for your kindness and ability to take a reader into another realm!

Riveting series. I am not normally a big fan of this genre, but I could hardly put the books down. Looking forwardto reading more from this author.
