But when spooky howls, missing desserts, gigantic muddy footprints, and other strange things begin to happen, the critters’ imaginations run wild, turning the entire farm upside down!

Will the gang learn to face their fears to save Cackleberry, and the celebration, from a mysterious, dessert thieving, mud-monster? As the mystery unfolds, things take an outrageously wacky turn in a way that none of them had ever imagined!

Classic storytelling with a modern moral

This book is funny and memorable and has just the right amount of intrigue for young readers without being scary. It emphasizes the importance of getting to know someone before casting judgment. The length of the book is just right for reading aloud; especially for children who are just starting to make the transition from picture books to chapter.

    Fun and interesting book!

Great details, great description of the story and great names choice of the characters. Children will learn from this book that it is not okay to make assumptions about others without knowing all the facts. I also liked how critters later apologized for having made fun of Dozer and calling him a monster while he was simply a black dog. Check it out!
