  It is good to remind oneself and remember the sequence of events that Martin Luther King, Jr. was involved in and helped inspire. This graphic biography manages to cover a lot of facts in a very concise and enjoyable form. I imagine this short comic book-style book is best for a late elementary school or early middle schooler?

  We've read several picture books about
  Martin Luther King, Jr. and we wanted to find something new and different to read this year. I found one nonfiction book that had another reiteration of the facts of his life (
  Martin Luther King Jr. Day), but then I found this book. I liked the graphic novel format and the dramatic way that his life events were presented. Our girls have heard so much about the man at school that they are bored by a plain reciting of his life. This book makes his tale come alive and I think they appreciated that. Overall, it's an interesting story and we enjoyed reading the expanded information at the beginning and end of the book, as well.
