Lion of Judah Reviews
-
A sort of James Bond literature: blood, tons of casualties, not too much brain, nice girls and some romance and a lot of unanswered questions. Some of them:
- how did Natan trust in Gamil, as he barely knows him, and in Amos the traitor?
- why didn't Karl change his face after his "suicide"?
- how could Abu Nibal let his beloved daughter into trouble?
Somehow, Bassam gives us an answer: "Natan, you are too stupid for a man working for Mossad!" Quite true, but even Bassam does not reach the final...
ps: Amir, Amos, Arik, Avy, Avraham, it seems like Mr. Ostrovky is very fond of the first alphabet letter... -
My theoretical interview with the author:
Q: How did you come up with your ending?
A: I stopped writing.
Q: But what about all the loose ends? Except for the dead people, you don't let us know what happens to anybody!
A: Look, I was in hiding in Canada, fearing that Israeli agents were trying to kill me, what do you want?
Q: Resolution?
A: Too bad.
Q: Changing topics, did Israel really orchestrate Carter losing the 1980 election?
A: I have no idea what you're talking about. Now I must get back to my art gallery in Arizona.
