H5n4 (Soleil Froid #1) Reviews
-
Imagine that a fatal pandemic strikes the planet. And all flying creatures are to blame.
That's the starting premise of this 3-volume graphic novel.
The plot is mysterious enough to keep you reading non-stop. This is like a bestselling thriller book: you cannot put it down until you finish it.
The story is engaging, around the lone wanderer, and with many real plausible details.
I won't give you details (spoilers) but if you like to read news about the latest tech, I highly recommend this story: you will love it.
The art is very good but not excellent; somehow the quality varies a bit, and close-up scenes aren't drawn to the same level of quality of wide/landscape scenes. But it's generally good and very well suited for the plot. The action scenes are one of the highlights of theses books.
Some of the plot twists are really twisted but some work better than others.
The narrative uses a few flashbacks that will allow you to better grasp and understand some key events.
All in all, this is a good story and a solid graphic novel. -
(For the whole series) The elements which the author plays with are not novel but, some way, he has been able to get me hooked to the story until the end.
