Wasn't so much baby momma drama as it was spineless daddies

Whenever I pick up one of Carl Weber's books I find myself asking, "where do these people live?"

Okay this is by far the funniest, and I liked this one more than I have any of the others.

The Johnson sisters, Jasmine and Stephanine, don't get along. They are both so conflicted in all of the same ways. Eventually they grow not only as sisters and friends, but as women.

Big Momma was the core! I loved her how she was telling it how it was, makes you wonder how she ended up with such stupid grand daughters!

Travis and Dylan although the type of men we want to marry you have to ask yourselves when are they going to finally get some spines? Trust me it takes awhile glad they did!!!!

Jordan, Joe, Malek, and Derrick so real life what we're all use to. Typical brothas out to get theirs first, or play games with you so long that you're lost.

I liked the way this story grew it did take the characters further away sometimes and I would have liked to know more details but it was an okay read after all....

This book has been on my list for years. I finally read it and enjoyed every minute. It was so today. Family love and sisters with differences that managed to work themselves out in the end. I wanted Malek to get what he deserved, but
Stephaine Was a grown woman, she should have recognized her blessings and moved on from the beginning. Woman take heed. If you got a good man, move forward not backward for something that will never be. Don't wait until it's too late see it's no good for you. It took Jasmine Being put in the worst situations ever before she realized Derrick Was the scum of the earth, a user and he did not deserve her. Thank God for night and shining armors like Dylan. He was taken advantage of by Monique but in the end justice was served for her and Derrick. Happiness is here for us all, it's just that sometimes we may have to wait, and that's okay. Remember if it looks good doesn't always mean it's good for you. Trust Big Mamma.

This was by far the best novel I've read from Mr. Weber's vast plethora of published works. The topic "baby momma drama" has been done, redone, and done up a zillion times in recent Afro-American works of fiction. However, I appreciated how he managed to give his many character-narrators distinct voices and "personalities." Although the drama the characters faced did focus a lot upon "baby momma drama," each character experiences issues that go far beyond that. I can't tell you that the issues the characters face are unique because they are not. Shucks, some of us have friends that are going through some of that stuff right now. However, I can say that Mr. Weber did a respectable and entertaining job of presenting not-so-unusual circumstances in ways that made it seem as though we were reading about that kind of drama for the first time. He gave us some real Jerry Springer twists and turns!

Jasmine, a successful, beautiful woman is forced to cope with the absence of her handsome, drug-dealing boyfriend Derrick who is doing a three-to-five bid in prison for possession. Jasmine struggles like crazy trying to manage feelings of loneliness, the betrayal she felt when she learned that Derrick was a drug deal instead of a lawyer, Big Momma's disappointment with her choice of men in spite of her potential, as well as issues with her little sister. On top of all of that, she has to deal with Derrick's Baby Momma trying to come between them while she is trying to stay faithful to Derrick who is in prison! Finally wising up and telling herself that enough is enough, Jasmine tentatively hooks up with handsome, nice-guy, Dylan, a successful entrepreneur.

Dylan is nursing a broken heart because his woman of six years left him for the town player, only to come back when she finds out she is pregnant with his child (after the player kicks her out of his place). Dylan reluctantly takes her back in, if only for the sake of his unborn child. Dylan knows it's the right thing to do. What he doesn't know is that his lying, conniving, cheating Baby Momma is also a crack head who is getting high while pregnant with his child! Dylan wants to be with Jasmine but Jasmine is fearful of letting go of the time and sacrifice she's put into her relationship with Derrick, especially after she finds out that she has to deal with yet another "baby momma." Jasmine and Dylan, both stressed-out and lovesick, begin to make a series of choices that only make some bad things worse. Jasmine will make you want to slap some sense into her, for real! And Dylan! Poor Dylan...

Stephanie, Jasmine's little sister, has the perfect man, Travis, a gorgeous soldier in the Army who wants to adopt her little girl and wants nothing more than to marry her and raise a family with her. Stephanie has just given birth to Travis's son and accepts his proposal for marriage. Stephanie knows Travis wants to give herhis all, that is until her baby daddy, Malek shows up--the very man who abandoned her while pregnant to run off and start a rap career. Does Stephanie tell him to kiss her grits? Oh no! She begins cheating on Travis with him. Her excuse for her foolishness? She is Malek's baby momma! Problem is she is Travis's baby momma too! Stephanie doesn't know who her loyalty should be given to. Ooooh, it was a recipe for disaster! I liked how Mr. Weber handled this story. Stephanie, as foolish as she may have been, remained likable. She is a trip!

Needless to say, the characters were complex. The dialogue was hilarious while still providing a message of how chaos can destroy families, especially the innocent children who are affected by all the drama. I loved this work of Mr. Weber's. Again, I appreciate his earlier works to his later ones.

I liked this book alot but Stephanie got on my last nerve. Just proves at times we woman can be just as dumb as men. She lost a great man running up and behind a no good one just cause the sex was great. SAD!

Drama was the right word. I was tired after reading it.

I will rate the quality of the audio and the book. Beginning with the audio, the voices were annoying. The voices of the characters would change it seemed every chapter and sometimes audibly a man would be reading for one of the female characters confusing you to think it's a male character speaking.
The story was "CRAZY"! I went from angry, to extremely angry, to completely fit to be tied. The characters; Derek, Wendy, Stephanie, Jasmine and Dylan (with the exclusion of Big Momma) were all obnoxiously pathetic. The two sisters Stephanie and Jasmine were the worst. In the story, the decisions and actions of the characters were a continuous cycle of bad to worst over and over again with . The book was fun. If you are looking for the most drama that your mind could possibly endure, then this is the book for you.

This wasn't just baby momma drama, this was everybody's drama! I don't know where these people are or if people really get down like this but this bunch of yahoos wore me out! I could NOT believe the behaviour of Stephanie and Jasmine, I mean really? And could Dylan really be that much of a stand up guy? Big Momma was your typical Big Momma. Overall, it was entertaining. I really felt sorry for Travis. It is true, the good guys always finish last.

    Realistic, Intriguing Page Turner!

Nothing irritates me more than a woman who is aware that her man is cheating on her, yet she keeps giving him more opportunities to continue to do it. Men do what we as women allow them to do to us. Wake up and realize you deserve better before it's too late. This book was a good read as all Carl Weber books are because this author speaks the truth.

I hated the women in the book Jasmine could do better & Stephanie already had a good thing smh 🤦🏾‍♂️...... I loved Travis & Dylan glad Mr.Weber pinned them as good men. Another enjoyable read everyone got what they deserved Travis ex was the only woman I liked in the book.

This was my first Carl Weber book and I instantly became a big fan. From the first page, he sucks you in and you're hooked. There wasn't a dull moment in the entire book. He makes you feel as if you're right there with the characters.

It was simple but a pretty good read. Men can be stupid sometimes but definitely so can women.
