Breakfast in Beirut Reviews

Philip Caine's talk detailing his life experiences is most entertaining. He has turned to writing in his retirement, selling his self-published novels at the end of his presentation.
After reading many very accomplished novelists it was "refreshing" to see what a total amateur can do. The plot was weak, the conversation banal with much repetition, very short chapters (averaging 2 pages) left lots of blank space printed on thick paper which was difficult to open. The writing class had told him that you can't write a novel in 6 weeks and they were wrong, you can write a bad novel in 6 weeks.
I will now read published authors with much more appreciation of their skill and, for this, I thank Mr Caine. -
Good read
Once again I enjoyed the story but felt parts of it were repetitive & copy & paste.
I understand the back story of the characters need to be told but it doesn’t need to be the same story dragged out, give a brief snippet.
