NIGHTMARE is an online horror and dark fantasy magazine. In NIGHTMARE's pages, you will find all kinds of horror fiction, from zombie stories and haunted house tales, to visceral psychological horror.
We have original fiction from Tananarive Due (“Migration”) and Sandra McDonald (“When You Work for the Old Ones”), along with reprints by Michael Shea (“The Horror on the 33”) and Tim Pratt (“Fool’s Fire”). We also have the latest installment of our column on horror, “The H Word,” plus author spotlights with our authors, and a feature interview with Jack Ketchum.

Nightmare Magazine 50: November 2016 Reviews
-
My biggest complaint about this story is that it feels like the opening to a novel rather than a complete thing. What there is, is tightly written and definitely gripping, but the ending fades out without any resolution or climax, leaving you stranded by the side of the road while the protagonist rides on.
Worth reading, but ultimately unsatisfying. -
This one doesn't really pull my heartstrings, like Tim Pratt's other work. I think the protagonist gets a bum deal in this creepy Halloween tale...
