  So this was different to what I normally read. I love Paranormal books, so I was intrigued with this book.
  Kept me hooked from the beginning. I don't have a long review, as this was a short read, and also I think its a bit difficult to explain and I'm sure will make no sense, unless you go and buy the book
  
  So our heroine name is Sela. She has this 'coin' seared into her hand, which gives her guidance and strength to fight her enemy, Peer. Since being dethroned, Sela has had lots of time to think about her previous actions against innocents. She gets casted from Hell to the present day and she must find and destroy Peer, not only to save herself but to save the World.
  
  This book is filled with revenge, and passion and some seriously hilarious parts, especially when the immortal Sela come to the present day.
  Definitely worth a read if you are a paranormal fan.

  Bringing dark sexy heat and suspense to Norse mythology...
  
  So my knowledge of Norse mythology is limited. Does Thor and Loki count? Sad isn’t it. :) Lucky we have Brian Miller to give us a story that is steeped in Norse history and myth..
  
  Brian Miller delivers you, the first book in his Sela Helsdatter series - A Flip Of The Coin. Let me say… his words are precise, quick and punchy. it was like each was a gunshot, straight to the point, no deviation or flowery prose, yet it was still highly descriptive. Some words will leave you breathless, others will have you in utter despair and yet others will bring laughter. There is plenty of mystery and mayhem afoot both in hell and in current day NYC.
  
  Sela, quite young had suffered the devastating loss of family, friends to the enemies of her land. She will eventually defend her lands as Queen. As her prowess and skills grow, and building a fierce reputation of savage cruelty - she becomes the very thing she once abhorred. She looses herself in the kill. A man, will come into her life, her lover, her protector but ultimately a pretender, the betrayer of her heart. Defeat is a bitter pill but she owns it as she is extinguished from this earth.
  
  Well so she thought!!
  
  Brian leads you into the gates of eternal hell. For Sela… it’s a constant hell of suffering and pain. There will be scenes that are disturbing but in total context to the barbaric acts of that time period. As time ceases to exist, Sela learns and is remorseful for the acts she committed. Despite her suffering, she remains strong and steadfast, in mind and cunning. She will be tested by the Peer, her betrayer! She will turn the tables and double cross the double crosser. It comes with a price.
  
  Sela is transported into modern day NYC. Can you say discombobulated by the whole experience. Adjusting to the modern world leads to some hilarious blunders. She is nothing if not resourceful.
  
  A voice of a stranger. A man, who happens to be a priest, will try to befriend and guide her on her journey to find and destroy Peer - the betrayer of her own making. it will be a journey with plenty of twisty turns, with sexy heat, drama, and humour thrown into the mix. Does the help she receives along the way hinder or help?
  
  A Flip Of The Coin is just the start of this adventure that you find yourself on. One that will keep you turning page after page, because those words have a tight grip wanting more. You feel compelled to see what Sela gets up.
  
  Thank you Brian Miller. Not only for your beautiful words, strong willed characters but for intriguing my inquisitive mind, and giving me a history lesson in Norse mythology. I’ve got to end this with… I pegged Loki right from the start… it did help watching Thor 3 - and having a glimpse into his character there, if you look closely. He is after all, the prankster, the mischief maker and he doesn’t mind how he goes about this, as long as the end result is achieved. Well delivered and played!

  I recommend you this book. It is an interesting and entertaining quick read. This author is new to me and I look forward to reading more of his books. The beginning of the book intrigued me and kept me reading, the story drew me in and I was glad this was a quick read because I didn't want to put it down. The ending was not what I expected, I'm leaving it to you to read the story for yourself so no spoilers here..!!

  Wow, this book was so amazing! I don't know what I was expecting, but I did not thing I was going to be so blown away. This first book follows Sela Helsdatter as she escapes hell and is on a mission to stop from going with the help of a Norse god. I have to say, I was very excited about learning who the god was. This book is absolutely amazing and I could not put it down.
