With passion, humor, and wisdom from the Bible and from his own life experiences, John Morgan encourages readers to declare war on fear in this short but profound book. He uses examples from his private life as a husband and father and from his public life as a singer, comedian, and George W Bush impersonator. You’ll be inspired to see fear as the enemy and to do battle against it so that you can thrive and live the adventures God has planned for you.

This is an excellent uplifting Christian book dealing with our battles with fear. It was written by John Morgan (with Joel Balin) who is an entertainer and George Bush impersonator. He tells about his personal struggles with different types of fear throughout his life, and offers some very sound insight and advice in dealing with these issues. I really enjoyed the book and took a lot from it.

"War on Fear" by author John Morgan is a slight 140 page hard cover book. It is a Christian inspirational, motivational book that urges readers to wage war on what robs you of you life, your dreams, and your future - fear. What does the author recommend to win this war on fear. He gives tips for overcoming it. First and very importantly do not let fear get a foot hold and control you. The author says to deal with it immediately. Do not allow it to get out of hand.b Be forceful with fear. Don't let it rule you. You rule it.

I enjoyed the author's style of writing. It was fun and humorous yet serious at the same time. His book was divided into ten chapters that focus on various subjects that can produce fear. Some issues tackled were Public Speaking, Terror, and Insignificance. It is well organized and planned. He has an easy style of writing that flows smoothly and isn't choppy. Many personal stories are incorporated to help make his point. Quotes from famous people are used. Scripture is used. It is easy to follow and understand. This book is one to share with others, use as a group study, or keep for future reference and inspiration.

John Morgan is best known for his comedic impersonation of former President George W. Bush. In this book he has included pictures in the middle of himself with well known individuals and his lovely wife, Kathy.

One of the things I liked the most is that author Morgan works scripture easily into his book and the message to persevere, God isn't finished with you yet. He has provided encouragement and hope for readers that are bogged down with fear. He tells honestly how he was, too, and what he did to change. After reading this encouraging book, readers will definitely think about the wise words within and begin to free themselves from fear.

I have found a new author to read, enjoy, and recommend! This is a fabulous book. I would highly recommend it. It would be great for small group discussion, a church library, a reading group, a self help group, or someone dealing with fear. Most everyone with love this powerful, thought provoking book. I rated it a 5 out of 5 stars.

I knew this would be the perfect book for me to read so I was excited when it arrived in the mail. I know all about fear, because it has lived with me all my life. Every doctor visit I have I feel my heart racing thinking what will they find this time? Yes my mind loves to have me stay in fear, so I'm trapped into believing I can't do anything. I loved when the author said,"Fear wants to kill you deader than a one-star movie!" Such profound words and yet we allow fear to run our lives everyday. Fear wants to take away anything that would hinder us from following our destiny. How many of us have turned down promotions because we were unsure we could do the job?

So what can we do to overcome our fear? The best way is when you feel fear coming on, deal with it then. Don't allow it to get a foothold on you. I think of it like an annoying mosquito that won't give up. It keeps coming back over and over, until finally we have had enough and swat at it. Let's be forceful in ridding ourselves of fear. There is no time like now to stop it and remove it for good. I can't tell you how many days I have stayed in my house because I allowed fear to keep me locked in. This book has really opened my eyes and given me a renewed strength to take my life back. I don't want to live in fear and watch life pass me by.

The author touches on subjects like terrorism, insecurity, and missing out on opportunities. I loved how he gives great examples of how to overcome fear with confidence. God does not want us to be tied down with worry and fear. He wants us strong , confident and bold. Are you ready to win the "War on Fear?"

"God isn't finished with you. It's not over. You can make it over the goal line. There's more for you to do."

Meet John Morgan, best known for being a President George Bush impersonator. It’s not a job he ever saw himself doing but it grew on him.
I was encouraged to hear about John’s journey, learning how to stop fear in its tracks; not let it overwhelm him, as he struggled to learn to fight the good fight.
He states, “Fear takes its own prisoners. I was one of them. For the majority of my young life I let fear keep me, …“
“Fear owned me. It dictated my choices finally, I got really angry – now I’m fighting back. I’m doing battle against a soul-seeking energy and loving every minute of it.”
    Amen! Amen!

I could relate to this author’s struggle. He continues with, “Each decision affects your future, and this moment can change everything. You are one of the hens, but at the moment you maybe a POF (Prisoner of Fear). You’re called to influence those around you. Seeds of world-changing greatness are within you. Conquering fear is vital for fulfilling your purpose, achieving your dreams.”

I appreciated this author’s transparency. How he learned that fear would no longer control him. He is an encourager and describes methods to identify and deal with fear that are helpful. This leads to hope!
This is the first book I’ve read by this author it won’t be the last. This was inspirational and I’m glad to have had the opportunity to read it.

Morgan wrote this book to rile us up, to get us angry at the fear that robs us everyday.

He shares how he overcame the fears that that paralyzed him, confronting the fearful thoughts and replacing them with truth-based thought. He wrote Scripture passages and encouraging truths on index cards, sticky notes, etc. He placed them where he would have regular access to their messages.

He reminds us that we can train our minds to recognize fear thoughts and stop them before they rob us. We can strengthen our decision making process too. Being prepared for the mental battle is so very important in being obedient to God.

Morgan tells lots of stories, lots. He is a good story teller, giving us examples of opportunities missed and victories won. He has a great sense of humor that comes through too. Morgan is a George W. Bush impersonator and has lots of stories to tell.

I recommend this book to readers who are looking for teaching by example, through stories. Whether it is fear of people, of public speaking, of reaching out – whatever the fear, Morgan has good stories of encouragement included. There is a good presentation of the gospel too.
