Successful Self-Publishing--From Childrens Author to Independent Publisher, a Simple Guide for New and Not So New Authors Reviews
-
Successful Self-Publishing: From Children's Author to Independent Publisher acts as a resource for those looking into self-publishing their own book. The material in this book is directed primarily towards print publication of works, as opposed to a more generalized look at both books and ebooks. Moreover, the author focuses a good deal of attention on using Print on Demand (POD) publishers. Thus, the information contained in this book will be of particular interest to those individuals new to self-publishing and those writers wanting to publish a single book as well as those authors looking to reduce costs and time required to take a book from idea to print.
There were a number of sections in this book that I thought were particularly of note. One section discussed the various reasons for self-publishing. I felt this section was particularly enlightening as there were a number of reasons on this list that I hadn't even considered.
Two other sections of note were the sections on subsidy publishing and POD publishing. These sections were quite detailed, showing the pros and cons of these publishing methods and also giving the reader a lot of tips on the questions he or she should ask when considering these services.
