Honestly, he doesn't know and can't remember how he got in his bed, or any other happenings having transpired since taking the elixir the night before. The world he now finds himself in is one of chaos, being ripped apart by natural disaster, while at home a terror erupts in the Hartland with people gone missing and a new set of grisly murders. To make matters worse, there's something the matter in his mind; constant flashes plague thoughts run amok, making fractured images appear that he can't quite grasp hold of. Lucid dreams won't let him be and follow him around in a house that at times seems itself alive.
Unsure of what to think, Ambrosia seeks out those closest to him: companions who would help, and the solace of a lover’s open arms. She means everything to him, so why does he feel that he just can't hold on? There are still many things he does not yet know, but with every moment he's getting closer to discovering the truth. What answers will he find there appearing on the other side?
Though not prevalent throughout this series, it does contain some content of an adult nature. Recommended for mature audiences.

Two if is a dark fantasy story written about Ambrosia waking up in a new world without knowing how he even got there. Natural disasters have destroyed the world, and Hartland is filled with murders and missing people. Chaos is everywhere, and he continually experiences flashbacks, scenes that make no sense. Answers are what he seeks, and with that, the journey begins.
There are four books for the worlds beyond scripture series. After reading book one, I was expecting the same quality literature and format of storytelling from the author. He did not disappoint in delivering. Ambrosia’s personality remained the same, and the descriptive writing was just as good.
For anyone who wishes to indulge in the series, I would recommend them starting from the beginning. Although many parts are explained, I believe it would be better this way.
The pace of the story was admirable as it truly engaged the reader and based on the content and situation, provided continuous desire in wanting to know more.
The story would be suitable for urban fantasy and dark fantasy readers.

Creative, intriguing, and different!
I liked the story, the world-building, the characters. Byron Fortin has blended together a strange world filled with fierce storms and deaths, an intriguing prophecy, malicious villains, some way mythical and, at the same time, abstract creatures, nightmares/or dreams that will burn up the pages. I devoured it almost in one sitting, it was… well, cool!
The story has a little bit of dystopian feel too, with all disasters that described... like wildfires plagued the Caribbean, earthquakes on Alaska, flooding in South Korea, and so on. MC's are awesome!
If you enjoy dark fantasy or occult mystery with strong paranormal elements, fascinating language, and complex characters that grab your heart and don't let go, give these series a try.
Smart and dark, with enough suspense and romance, Byron Fortin made this story for you entertaining as possible. Hooked. Reading the next part. -
This third book builds the story arc in the Worlds Beyond Scripture series in magnificent fashion, and the stunning word play of this author continues to amaze me and challenge my expectations.
I'm loving the character spins and emerging plot details that feel like they're leading up to some crazy stuff in the near future. There's just so much to keep me wondering where this story is going that I didn't want to put it down. Setting it on the shelf after reaching the last page was hard to do as I want to know more, now.
I'm looking forward to reading the next volume as soon as it comes out, and I hope that I won't have to wait too long for it.
