USA TODAY bestselling author Alexa Riley's first full-length novel shows just what happens when a strong, possessive man finds the woman of his dreams.
I'll never forget the way she looked, so confident and sure of herself. I watched her from a distance. She wasn't ready for me yet. I didn't approach her and I didn't disturb her, but I never once took my eyes off her.
Mallory Sullivan is ready to start her new life. After graduating at the top of her class, she's landed one of the most coveted internships in the United States. Hard work and determination have gotten her to this moment of living the life she only dreamed of while growing up in foster care.
From the start, I knew that she would be my greatest achievement, so the day I let her go, I set down a path for her. A path to me.
She never expected Oz to be the greatest culmination of those dreams. But sometimes fate determines who you fall in love with. Who makes you lose control. Who owns your soul.
And then you realize it wasn't fated at all…
I've wanted to care for and protect her since the first moment I saw her. I've constructed everything in our lives so that at the perfect moment, I could have her, could give her the life she deserves.
The time has come.

FourFIVE Smut Scale Stars
Sorry I'm so late with this review, folks.
I've been working a lot lately and, well...
Between work, the holidays, andbinge drinkinghousehold chores, I didn't have a whole lot of free time.
Or motivation, quite frankly.
So anysnuggle, this book.
All of us AR fans have been waiting not so patiently for this thing - AKA AR's first full length novel - for quite some time now.
But before we go any further, let's be real here...
The male MC in this book is a legit lunatic.
In fact, HERE is where he lives:
Okay, so not really.
He lives in a high rise penthouse, because ROMANCE novel - but still...
Bat.
Shit.
Crazy.
Seriously though, he is a stalker of the highest order.
If I had a friend who was dating him, I would tell her to run to the court house ASAP for a restraining order - after we hung out with Sir Stalk-a-Lot and I got me a few rounds of high priced liquid spirit, mind you, but still.
Run homie!
Do NOT pass go.
Do NOT collect 200 dollars.
*haha* *burp*
But anyguzzle, as I said above...
This be a ROMANCE novel, peeps.
And what might be scary, stalker, psychopath in REAL life?
Is hot as FUCK in Romance Landia.
Don't believe me?
Case.
In.
Point.
Perhaps one of the most popular love stores of all time:
Romeo and Juliet
AKA
Yeah...
But anyShakespeareanClassic.
Miles was the total crazy stalker we AR ladies love in our romance novels, and Mallory was - of course - the golden clam vagina that all the boys want to get their man package inside of.
This book was everything we all love and expect from AR, only BETTER.
Granted, it was a bit slower moving at times, but homie don't care.
I dug it.
Because, in the end, it was exactly what I've always wanted from an AR book:
MORE.
More crazy.
More sex.
More BOOK.
In fact, fuck it!
Let's just go on ahead and bump this shit up to 5 smut stars.
I mean, being that it's going right on the "spank bank" shelf that lives in mycooterhead...
...I think it deserves it, no?
Regardless.
Well done AR ladies.
I can't wait for your next foray into full length featuredom. -
➳MY EMOTIONS... MY EMOTIONS ARE EVERYWHERE! This hook has ruined any other book that Alexa Riley will ever write because Miles and Mallory are absolutely incredible!
➳Alexa Riley has somehow done it... she has made me change my mind about reading her books, going from the dislike of her smutty books to her now full novel (and another on the way) full of potential and brilliance!
➳So lets talk about the story... WOAHHH! What a HECK of a story this is! Miles Osbourne is the number one definition of Mr. Hot Stalker + Possessive Alpha Male mixed together. The way he controls absolutely anything, and everything that had crossed through his path and the path of his one true love, is wonderful to read. The transition between the pov of Miles and Mallory is smooth and very pleasing to read in the beginning of the story. The epilogue is rather confusing and a little scary to say the least because of what Miles is thinking... he wants Mallory that's for sure, but he claims her off the bat when he first sees her at a college event hosted by various organizations from Yale. He spots her when she was attending Yale University and she was only seventeen, and himself being twenty-two. He sees her, and he absolutely desires her; desires her love, her passion, her voice, her presence, her everything. When the time finally comes, and he is able to talk to her after keeping her at arms length, and after five years of yearning her and her presence, he goes and talks to her. He is instantly beyond possessive of her, and to me it gave me a sense of the creeps but at the same time, it turned me on hahaha! He is demanding in a positive way that makes you swoon for Miles and his love.
➳“When I know you’re near, I can breathe better. As crazy as that sounds.”
➳Mallory and Miles (also known as Oz) begin their love story and they are both instantly hooked. Miles was already hooked that first time he saw her five years ago, and his love for her never diminished, never got distracted by anything or anyone else because he savored his love for Mallory;
➳“He kisses me so passionately and so thoroughly that there is no room for argument. I belong to him now, and as much as I should be fighting it, I won’t. I’m his, and he’s mine. I would do whatever it took to protect our love, and our possible family in the making.”
➳Their love story evolves through the hard secrets that Miles possesses and keeps from Mallory, breaking them apart but slowly bringing them back together. But no matter how when they fall in love, that love never diminishes- instead, it grows and grows, making them fall in love with each other more and more everyday. That includes the intimacy scenes. They don't f***, they make love. Love in a way that makes you want to crave it, love in a way that makes you cry by just reading it (I will admit, I used a couple of tissues), but most of all- love that will make you want more and more of their story, because that is what Alexa Riley has done. She makes you crave more of her writing. She makes breakfast sex, morning sex, office sex so hot and steamy, I kept heating up every time Miles and Mallory were together!
➳The ending was hard to read because I was sure as heck sad that it was coming to its finale of the story, but Alexa knows us too well. She did not just add ONE epilogue... she added THREE! She did not only describe what happens after six months, or after three years- she describes the true love (and lust) Miles and Mallory have for each other after TWENTY YEARS! And let me just say, their love is just absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. Alexa Riley has sure as heck done it, and I can say that this has to be the best book she has written by far...

Waiting. Anxious. Begging.
Most AR fans were in any one (or even all) of these 3 states the minute they heard
Everything for Her would be a full-length novel. Will the plot align with the cornerstone of all AR books? That is, insta-love, virginal h, Alpha male. Can they pull this off? Enquiring minds wanted to know.
All things considered, this book was done expertly, without forsaking the essence of an AR read.
However, it was a fairy tale. A fairy godfather tale, to be exact. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing except when the story borders on the saccharine. To be clear, the story was neither lacking nor poorly structured rather, I found the theme uninteresting. The poor orphan Annie meets Henry Higgins sort. I never did like Annie. Therein lies my issue.
It appears it's inherently difficult for authors of the Con-Rom genre to veer off script. I particularly wanted AR to do something different from the usual. To date, they've published upward of 65 books (as listed on GR), yet, not once have they deemed it possible to gift the reader with a female who wasn't in financial dire straits or a virgin. What was the point of writing a full novel which was derived from their norm?
Then the characters. Mallory and Oz. Substitute Mallory with any of the previous female leads of an AR book and you wouldn't be too far off. Why is it difficult for AR to create a female lead with layers, complexity, friends (more than one), a thought process, wit, self-confidence, and an awareness of the world they inhabit (it's called Google, ladies, use it). Do you see my dilemma? Well?
Likewise, the men. Patently one-dimensional. Fuck (excuse me. I mean, making love), breed (excuse me, I meant impregnate), obsess over (my bad. I mean, love). That's it? How about having a conversation? What is the Dow Jones average? Your thoughts on Brexit? Can we harness your wealth for a purpose other than buying me clothes? What?!!!! NO? You disagree? Oh, well.
I love a fairy tale as much as the next woman but sex and the buying of clothes and the punching of other men who look at me does not a love story tell, IMO.
So, what if Oz paid her fees and obsessed over her? Yeah, so? And ensuring she was safe by employing personal bodyguards? So? That she never had to pound pavements or scroll the online ads for a job? And your point? *sighs deeply*
I craved something that wasn't available. A pulsating love story, but one done with dimension and depth. Sadly, this did not deliver. Altogether, an average read reminiscent of the usual which didn't quite work for me. Please feel free to read this as I fear my opinion is the minority. -
This one was just good for me...not great. Maybe my expectations were too high or something. I found that it dragged a lot and I was bored.
I think the authors could have cut down on the time it took Mall finding out the big secret and spent more time with Paige and Mile's groveling. I hate a heroine that gives in literally hours after There just wasn't nearly enough grovel in my opinion. The beginning was super slow, the middle part picked up, but then we went back to the super slow that dragged on and on. I also didn't find Mile's particularly alpha like a typical AR hero. In fact, I found him and Mallory a little on the bland side. AND, because I feel in a particularly picky mood today, I will say I also didn't like that Ya, Ya, picky much Eve? What can I say? I
I was just underwhelmed. That said, I think Paige's and Ryan's book sounds WAY more interesting and Ryan sounds like he has the potential of being WAY more alpha. So I AM looking forward to that one... -

Alexa Riley has been one of my go-to authors whenever I want a quick, sexy, super steamy read. Everything for Her is their first full length novel, and this book had everything long time fans could want in an Alexa Riley book.
Possessive hero? Check!
Sweet, virginal heroine? Check!
Insta love? Check!
Super steamy sexy scenes? Double check!
That said, I wish I enjoyed the story a lot more. I found myself a bit put off by the hero's stalkerish and possessive nature. There are times when I find myself enjoying a possessive hero but there is a thin line there. Unfortunately, Oz was just too much. I felt like he crossed the line by taking away a lot of her choices.
I mean, sure. He provided her with everything she needs (without her knowing it was him) but a cage is still cage regardless of whether it's made of gold or wrought iron.
There are certain things that the hero did which made me uncomfortable. I get the fantasy of having someone there to give you everything you could dream of. It's nice fantasy. I wish I just couldn't turn off this other scenario in my head where instead of a billionaire, the hero is just a regular guy who still lives in his mom's basement. Imagine that guy doing everything this hero did. It's creepy. And having a hot billionaire do it instead of your run-of-the-mill basement dwelling stalker doesn't make it less so.
The whole thing would have been much better for me if the heroine had more choices or acted more independently instead of just accepting everything the hero did. She did feel deceived, and rightfully so. But her acquiescence was too easy. And I wasn't 100% convinced with the reasoning behind the hero's actions.
It didn't end up all that bad. Alexa Riley has such an easy writing style that reading this book was painless. Plus the smuttastic steam was phenomenally hot, as usual. And the sweetness towards the end is vintage AR. I have no doubt AR fans will love this book even if I didn't.
Despite my misgivings, I would recommend this book to fans of insta-love, over-the-top possessive, obsessive heroes. If you love this type of fantasy in your book then Everything for Her is definitely written for you. :)

If you’re looking forward to a rant to go along with this rating, you’re going to have to look elsewhere. Let me state for the record that I am a firm believer that porn is 100% fantasy and if a certain type of storyline works out for you (or even better for both you and your significant other), well then you should read whatever the hell you want. That being said, now that I’ve read a handful of Alexa Riley novellas as well as this full-length feature I can officially state that AR’s fantasies are not mine.
To begin with, this is about a stalker who gets the girl. Now, I have
totally loved a story like that before, but it didn’t make me wanna jizz in my pants. It made me think that I probably should create a GoFundMe page in order to get the psychiatric help I obviously need. Buuuuuuuuuuuut, when the leading dude’s name is Miles and he looks like this . . .
It’s apparently A-Okay to want to bang him even if he’s a creepy mah fah who has been the puppetmaster of your life since you were back in high school. Unfortunately for me, I couldn’t get on board and kept hollering stuff like this at my Kindle . . . .
I don’t want to waste a whole lot more of my life on this book, so let’s run through the tired out tropes that Riley can’t get enough of real quick. Dude’s not only a super creeper, but also a millionaire. This time he owns a company called “Osbourne Corporation” and if that isn’t a clue he’s going to be kind of fucked in the head, than you haven’t watched enough Spiderman movies . . . .
The leading lady has curves in all the right places and enjoys fancy underwears because they give her “the sense of being a superhero.” Ahhhhh yes, much like my underpants do for me . . . .
He has a signature scent. This time it’s “warm amber and honey” . . . .
She’s a virgin, she rarely sits in her own chair because his lap is so readily available and they also conserve water by only eating off one plate/using one fork at any time (and OF COURSE he feeds her because her arms must be broken or something) which are things that make me go . . . .
Allllllllllllllllllllllll of which led up to the ultimate Kelly and Mitchell dealbreaker that is the “fill me up with you” talk . . . .
If this is your idea of a fantasy, more power to you, but it dried my ladygarden out like the mothereffing Sahara so I think it’s about time I call it quits when it comes to Alexa Riley. To all my friends who love her stories . . . .
EDIT: Because I literally JUST typed I was breaking up with AR and then discovered Paige's story might be the next book and YES I WILL TOTALLY READ THAT BECAUSE AM A SHAMELESS WHORE : ( -
4 EVERYTHING STARS
I’d do anything for her...but give her up.
This book was mostly everything the hype said it would be. It was passionate and intense. I loved everything about it.
Miles/Oz was such a protective alpha and it was so sweet to watch his interaction with Mallory, our heroine.
HE LITERALLY DID EVERYTHING FOR HER!
It was a little nuts to tell you the truth, but in a nice way.
He said so many sweetly intense things to the heroine. I can't quote them all. To do so, would mean I would have to include most of the dialogue.
They are sweet together and this was a full length story finally.
So YAY!
However, I have to sheepishly admit the truth, I felt it had too much unnecessary information and scenes.
For me, the whole drama at the beginning with her discovering the truth was necessary, but after they get together, I felt like many of the other scenes were superfluous.
At one point, I was just tired of reading about the office drama and other small events like her getting dressed. (Honestly, it was starting to sound like a Harlequin at that point and not an Alexa Riley story).
These are my only issues with this book, and the only reason why it lost a star.
It had an nice epilogue.
Worth a read and maybe a reread sometime. You know when you have a failed alpha book. This may be a good comfort read.
Now, I am so very glad I preordered her next full length book. These two are going to be EPIC! Chemistry is off the charts. Paige and Ryan/Captain I am seriously waiting with baited breath for your story!!
Completely safe without any issues here NONE!
Totally random thought here, I often wonder why fictional couples, who want large families, never adopt!? Seriously, these two had a lot to give a sweet unwanted child. Just my random thought. -
“I’ve watched her since the beginning.”
Let’s start from the beginning. Miles Osbourne met Mallory Sullivan when he was 22 and she was 17 at a math contest. She was a contestant; he was one of the judges. She did not even notice him; he became obsessed with her straight away.
And then Miles becomes her guardian angel/fairy godfather but also her stalker/borderline psycho for the next almost 5 years of their lives. He does not approach her straight away because a) she has to grow up and b) she has to be well educated before they get married and breed i.e. have babies.
So his company offers her a full scholarship at the best possible university, Yale of course. He even buys her a friend to look after her, keep her company, send all the potential boyfriends away and report back to him about Mallory’s progress.
Later on his company offers her a job. And it is a prestige job. Her co-worker rejected a job from White House in order to work for Miles’ company. That kind of important job!
Their Happily Ever After starts the weekend before Mallory starts her new job. Miles and Mallory meet unexpectedly and completely spontaneously (yes sure..hahaha) at a club and they exchange a few words, a few touches and their phone numbers.
This is how “Oz”, Miles’ new nickname is created.
This is how Mallory has just landed in his land and his magical life where everything she wants, he can make it possible (even change the quality of cafeteria food, because she prefers gourmet sandwiches and salads for lunch).
Up this point I had actually two issues:
1. How come she had never seen the face of the owner of the company who offered her a scholarship and a job – although she knew everything about the company and the programs they use in order to be prepared. I know that I would have searched at least the company history straight away.
2. How come Miles has never visited Mallory all these years (even from a distance), before she starts working for his company. No question about it, Miles is a lunatic and crazy in love with Mallory since she was a teenager. How could he stay away from her and just read the reports from her “best” friend, Paige?
Well, I did not really trouble myself too much with these questions because Miles falling in love all over again and Mallory falling in love with him for the first time are simply a pleasure to watch.
I was actually trying to read the scenes with them together as slooowly as possibly. And then rereading some of them.
One thing cannot be denied: MILES AND MALLORY ARE PERFECT FOR EACH OTHER!
Miles knows he is a stalker, but he does not care. He will never let her go.
…Because
“I’ve constructed everything in our lives so that at the perfect moment, I could have her. The time has come.”
…And
“You’re mine, Mallory. I’ll never let you go.”
Mallory starts realizing that he is a stalker and she does not care. She even feels flattered.
…Because
“It warms me that he’s taken so much effort to find out little things about me, adding to the bubble around us. It’s almost like a thrill and I want to hold on to a little bit of that mystery.”
…And
“I’ll take care of you, baby. I take care of everything.”
…And finally
“A sense of belonging and of coming home. It’s as if we’ve both waited our whole lives to get to this moment, and something special passes between us.”
There are a few subplots in the book with Miles and his issues with his daddy dear and also with Paige and her Captain America (I am so looking forward to the next book!).
If you liked this story, I highly recommend the book “Taking What's Hers”, another one of my favorites by Alexa Riley. It has the same level of craziness.
(Actually maybe a little bit more, because the crazy, obsessive stalkers are two in this book) -

4,5
A full lenght novel from Alexa Riley is just what every reader needs! After so many short novellas from this author and after so many complains about them being so short, we now get out satisfaction with Everything For Her. If you've read at least one of this authors books then you know what to expect. Having so many pages to gush about the writing, the romance and the angst is a perfect Christmas gift.
I loved the story from the start to finish. There really wasn't anything that I didn't like, honestly. And that happens maybe one in a five hundrets books for me. There is a reason I'm such a huge fan of AR and they didn't let me down with this story.
The hero is so amazing. But I'm going to be honest, had I met him in real live, I'd run for the hills, since he is so OTT and obsessed with his woman. But that's exactly the reason he makes a perfect book boyfriend. There is truly nothing that he wouldn't do for her. I admit, his original plan of how to get Mallory backfired at him and left him for a few days in agony but besides that, what an amazing hero!
Also, as far as Mallory's character goes, she's just so cute and charming in her own way. She's super smart and really worked herself to the bones to get to where she's now. Since she's an orphan, her life wasn't all roses and sunshine. That made her a fighter. And once she loves, she loves deep. Her bestfriend Paige is an awesome character and together they make a great team. When the truth came out, all seemed to crumble for Mallory but she found a way to move on.
The only thing that I didn't like about this story is the question what happens to Miles's father. I think we'll get the full answer to that in Paige's story. Can't wait to see what happenes between her and Captain, as she calls him.
All in all, I think AR should stick to full novels. Now that we've got them, there's no turning back to the short stories. :) -
4 'Man behind the curtain' Stars!
Who doesn't know Alexa Riley by now? Let me tell you something about them, just in case. They are two amazing women that write smutty, OTT short stories. They are pretty famous on the novella genre but now, finally, they gave us what many have been asking for: a full-lenght novel! And it was great start on this new stage in their career.
Everything for Her is the first installment in AR's new series called For Her and it tells the story of Mallory Sullivan and Miles Osbourne a.k.a Oz. Now this is no exception to what is normal in AR's stories: it has a couple that falls instantly, a protective alpha male, lots of sexy times and always a HEA. Oz has been obsessed with Mal since he first laid eyes on her and he has drawn her path to him since the beginning. Mallory falls for him too but there are obvious obstacles between them.
No one knows it’s been me behind the curtain, pulling the strings. I’ve constructed everything in our lives so that at the perfect moment, I could have her.
The time has come.
Well, this is definitely AR style! These two ladies do not disappoint with their first novel, especially if you enjoyed their short stories before. Oz is their typical alpha but now we get to see the whole thing. Miles is determined to claim Mallory, he puts himself in her path, she starts working in his company (without her knowing anything about it) and it's impossible for her not to fall in love.
You tasted like peaches when I sucked you off my finger this morning, and it’s all I’ve wanted since. So I had peach cobbler for lunch.
Of course, as you can imagine, the chemistry between the main characters is off-the-charts! Alexa Riley knows how to write the sexy times! Miles is a dirty talker and Mal is a sassy heroine! The man always takes care of his sweet Mallory ;) The sex is quite frequent but it mixes well with the whole love story and all the other moments we get with the other characters.
“I’ll take care of you, baby. I take care of everything.” His hands come up to brush the damn hair out of my face as he licks my neck. “You’re mine, Mallory. I’ll never let you go.”
Now, here probably comes the only thing that stopped me from rating this with a higher rating: Miles himself. I do love AR's alphas but I feel like Oz was the epitome of OTT hero. He did seem, to me, like a full-on stalker sometimes. It's different when that happens in a shortie: it's all fast and I am used to it. But when it happens in a novel? I don't know, sometimes Miles' behavior was too much for me.
“All I’ve ever wanted from the moment I laid eyes on you was to give you everything.”
Of course, leaving that aside, Miles is perfect and so sweet! Now, what I also enjoyed about having a novel is that we get to know the characters better, that we get awesome secondary characters (I can't wait to read Paige's book!) and a plot that involves a secret. Imagine Mal's reaction when she discovers everything: she does not take it well! I was quite surprised with all of that and I really enjoyed it!
“I’m your weak spot?” I’m not sure how I feel about that. Should I be offended?
“You’re my everything,” he says simply.
And here is the thing: Alexa Riley always give her readers a HEA. Well, this was their ultimate one because we got 4 FREAKING EPILOGUES in Everything for Her. FOUR! I loved it! We get to see Miles and Mallory in different stages in their lives together and I loved having that!
We’ve created something so perfect that it can never be touched. Not by our pasts or by anything around us. Our intimacy has sealed our bond, and my soul is forever entwined with hers.
Therefore, my rating for Everything for Her is 4 STARS because it was such a great start for AR in the full-lenght novel territory! I loved these characters and this love story and I can't wait to read the next book in the series (which will be about Paige and Captain America lol). So, if you enjoyed anything by these two ladies in the past, be sure to check out their first novel!

The heroine: Mallory - Recent Yale Grad. She was at the top of her class. She moves to New York City with best friend and roommate after getting the best internship she applied for. Mallory’s first week in New York she meets a mysterious man.
The Hero(es): Miles (a.k.a. Oz) - he first sees Mallory while she is seventeen and at Yale. Though he knows she wouldn’t be ready for him yet. Oz is the man behind the curtain directing Mallory’s life so that she ends up in New York when she is ready for a relationship.
The story: Miles is very much a stalker in the beginning of the book and when he and Mallory start a relationship, he is every bit a jealous and possessive boyfriend with a bunch of secrets. Mallory feels that things are a bit off, but it is her first relationship and she kind of likes that he is jealous. She was a foster child so his possessiveness appeals to her. She never belonged to anyone before so when he says she is his, it warms her heart.
It is kind of funny how many things that happen in Mallory’s life look to be influenced by Oz while she keeps thinking things like how did he know this when I don’t remember telling him. Then she just forgets about it or rationalizes it away. While we as readers can see how many hands he has involved in her life and she has no idea. She seems naïve and a bit stupid for a Yale grad, but when you think about it, you can see how she has no idea and could easily rationalize things away rather than immediately think of more sinister machinations.
I have said this before and I will say it again. I have no clue why the things men do in a romance novel can be so sexy when in real life if a man I was dating did any of those things I would kick him to the curb the first time. In this book Oz does so many crazy things, but it just seems like love and you can’t help but root for him.
As for the narration, It was great! It was done by Jay Crow and Summer Morton. I have heard her narrate other books as well. She is very good and has a voice that is great for someone in their twenties. She is intelligent sounding and yet can do naïve virgin as well. Jay Crow has a nice deep romantic voice that I could listen to all day!

It was nice to read a Alexa Riley that had some meat to it.
Miles/Oz was so yummy...hot, alpha, billionaire, possessive, faithful since the day he saw Mallory. He first saw her when she was 17 and did everything to make sure she would succeed and find her way to him. Being a guy he, of course, rushed it once she was done with college and within his realm. There's plenty of hot limo, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, office sex...repeat. Enter huge misunderstanding, and then there's make-up sex. I kept waiting for one thing to happen since he made such a big deal out of it. There are THREE epilogues, my favorite things.
Now can we please have another book with Paige and "Captain." -

The story was so sweet, I went into sugar coma a couple of times. Cheesy doesn't even cover it. And way too long. If this was another novella of Alexa Riley, it would work probably. But as a full length novella... *Shudders*

This premise had EVERYTHING I wanted in an AR book, but may have missed the mark of my overly high expectations.
There were parts that I loved, parts I had to fan my knickers whilst reading, parts that were meh, parts that rolled my eyes, and parts that I yawned/skimmed over. All these parts were dutifully expected - except the yawning parts (because I NEVER yawn reading an AR story due to the shorter nature of her books). I guess for my tastes; extreme OTT sugar fixes are magnificent in short bursts, but when drawn out for too long; becomes semi laborious and excessive.
Still, I got what was expected and I'm hanging onto all the good parts - which were really good!
Recommended to all those that luuuuuurve their AR boys with OTTFatal Attraction/Domestically Controllingpossessive traits. Told in dual POV and first standalone story in a series. Has multiple epilogues (yay) and bonus extra chapters (double yay). Jewelsy is now patiently waiting for book #2 because Paige & Ryan's story sounds juicy :) -
I spend a lot of time figuring out how many stars this books deserves. I was instantly mesmerized by the cover and thought the story will be awesome. Well, it was, but it wasn't for me.
This is my first book by Alexa Riley and I don't have anything bad to say about the writing style. I loved it. It was not boring, didn't drag you along for chapters, always lets something to be discussed or interpreted, and had some pretty interesting characters.
The main plot revolves around Mallory and Miles "Oz" Osbourne. Since the moment he laid eyes on her, he fell in love with her sweet features, but for reasons that are not known to the reader only after a while, Miles kept his distance, becoming the man behind de curtain and tracing Mallory's destiny, so than eventually, she will come to him. He eased her access to college and after graduating, obtained her an internship at his company. His plan is to seduce Mallory, making her his, but his identity will be kept secret for a while. He wanted her to love him because of his personality, of his charms and love towards her and after that revelling the truth. Read it and find out if his plan worked:)
So let me explain why the 3 stars.. Yes, only 3.. It didn't feel real.. and when I read a book that seems too far of the fictional, I don't connect with it. Mallory was ok for a heroine, sweet, young, wanting to prove she is worthy and that beside living in a foster home, she is smart and can make a future by herself. Love was not in her plans, until she meets Miles. Of course Miles is PERFECTION. He is smart, gorgeous, rich, with all the qualities a girl would want. But he only wants Mallory, because he is obsessed. Really obsessed and sometimes he freaked me out. He waited for her for 5 years, and now having her so close, he will not back down until making her fell for him. I liked his strategy up to a point, but after that, I believe he crossed the line. I just couldn't relate to the story and understand why he kept cultivating this obsession. His excessive jealousy, his desperation for her to answer texts on the spot ( at a certain point of the story I understood why he was so worried about her, but I wasn't convinced he acted right), his desperation for her were out of this world. And Mallory saw this problems, but because of his charms closed her eyes and gave in to the temptation Miles represented. Yeah right, you don't do that in real life.. You ask yourself if something is wrong with the person.. Oh well, maybe I was not in the perfect mood for absorbing this story.
I have to admit their love scenes were OMG, but even they were a little exaggerated at a certain point.. I know, maybe I'm being picky, but for a debut novel, it didn't have the necessary imagination and consistency that I would want. It is really important for the reader to identity with the characters, but here, my way of thinking was opposite theirs. Maybe for the second book, Alexa will make some progress and manage to give it another turn, a more genuine and palpable one. Not to mention that my jaw dropped when reading the presentation for Ryan's and Paige story.. I was not expecting that..
3 stars!

The first full-length Alexa Riley's book. How amazing is that? We finally lived to this day and is really good! Alexa Riley is still at its best.
About the plot: The first time that Miles saw Mallory, she was seventeen and took part in a high school math competition. He is five years older than her and decided to wait and direct her path so that at right time, she lands in his arms. The time has come now.
“Until the day I saw her, there was no color. But once my eyes landed on her for the first time, it was like when Dorothy landed in Oz and she opened the door. The world went Technicolor, and she was my very own Glinda the Good Witch.”
Mallory is determined to achieve something in life from an early age. She first got fully funded scholarship to Yale and then one of the best internships in the country. She is an orphan and doesn't have a lot of people in her life beyond best friend, Paige. When she meets a charismatic man, he made her fell for him from the very beginning. It has happened quickly and was like a fairy tale. But what happens when she finds out that all this was not an coincidence.
“Looking into his sapphires, I’m lost again. It’s like being in the center of a tornado. Only I don’t know if he’s the wind that’s going to wreak havoc, or if he’s the calm in the middle that will hold me steady.”
Final thoughts: Possessive suit billionairs, Miles Osbourne, who sees something he wants, and will not hesitate to do anything to get it. Sweet, innocent girl, Mallory Sullivan, who wants to be independent, but feels good in the arms of man, who will take care of her. It's our charming couple.
While reading, I had this feeling of Christian Grey's type. Miles is a romantically possessive man, so this is for those who longs for such heroes. It's sweet and romantic. Sexy but not strongly erotic. I like those moments when he was fighting for forgiveness. There is nothing better than a crawling man. But you don't have any illusions, there never really was a choice. They have great chemistry, and leave you with the feeling that they really are perfect for each other.
“All thoughts of the world dropping away and leaving only this one moment. But that’s because this kiss isn’t simple at all. This kiss is everything.”
It was very good reading. Long time since I read this kind of story, even though it is not very unique, it was a nice return. Only after middle of the book could be more action. I was waiting for something that will give more tension, but everything solved quite smoothly.
In summary this is a great entry into the world of full-length books by the Alexa Riley. I'll cheer for her further and I can't wait for next book about Paige and Ryan. You'll know them in this story, and certainly will want to learn more about this explosive pair.
For who I'd recommend? For those who like romantically possessive and at full alpha mode heroes and sweet, but with giving as much as gets attitude heroine.

New version of stalking going on in this book, the pre-meditated kind! And because it's a romance, the stalking is sweet/romantic. Anywhere else and you'd end up in an shallow grave at the end vs the HEA. The male mc is seriously insane, which I liked because sane is way over rated in books. The book is way over the top and crazy, keeping to Alexa Riley's usual writing style. Happy this was longer than her previous books. I look forward to more from her and definitely interested in Paige's story.

I loved it! Review to come...

This book is proof that there is a right person for everyone, and that love at first sight exist.
I'm jealous of their relationship. Of course that there’s trouble and arguments, but what good relationship doesn’t?
I love how Oz is welling to do literally everything for Mallory. And how Mallory trully love Oz despite of everything he has done.
And in the end we get to see how they are, many many years after, just fantastic.!
Alexa Riley writing is just brilliant, definitely reading more of her books. -
Review to come at time of release. But I will say, if you are a fan--like I am--of Alexa Riley, you are in for a real treat!

This cover is ridiculously hot.

5 'Man Behind the Curtain' Stars!
Wow, I am blown away. I loved this so much... I was a bit hesitant about it being a full length novel because Alexa Riley is the master of the short and sweet insta-love smut, and why fix what isn't broken? But boy was I wrong, AR knocked this out of the park.
It still had the OTT alpha goodness, with the addition of a deeper plot and setting. The story flowed really well and I really enjoyed reading the character dynamics. This story had the full romance formula with secrets, misunderstandings, apologies, and tons of hot sex...
As mentioned in the book description, the H Oz has been watching Mallory for a while. I was obsessed with how obsessed he was. It was interesting that we got a dual POV to read about Mallorys innocence and Oz with his plotting... Oz was so determined, and went to great lengths to make her his.
"I can't seem to get enough of you. Get close enough. I keep thinking if I have more, some of this obsession will cool. But I think it's only growing."
Ladies, I cannot emphasize how hot some of the scenes in this book were... my Kindle was on fire. Even the foreplay was smoking just... wowza.
Words cannot express how eager I am for Paige & Captain Ryans story <3

I have no problem admitting I'm a perv that tends to like OTT, possesive, alpha heroes with issues and kinky habits. I'm also one moody cow. So I never quite know, especially when it comes to books like this, if the issue is my moody bitchiness or if the book just went a bit too far with the OTT and thestupid, gullible, naive heroine. -
★★★★4 Shades of Grey Stars★★★★
So after watching 'Fifty shades darker-The extended Trailer'a heck load of times,a couple of times...last night. So sue me XD
I ended up hunting on GR for an interesting sexy yet intense billionaire read,to unwind with for the evening...But the problem with that was, that till last night I was pretty sure I've read every available book in this particular genre so far..until I came across Val's MEME filled review on Alexa RIely's Everything for her.And remembered that I still had this book was on my TBR,waiting for me to devour.
So thanks Val !*grins*
Now,AR's novellas are pretty much an auto-buys for me,especially their paranormal romance reads. So when I heard that the two friends were planning on penning down a whole full length novel.I was excited,sure...But I was also a tad nervous as well.Their novella are always racey, fast with a solid storyline but then again also VERY FAST.
Love, fights, breakups & makeups all happen in a span of few pages, usually. So I was worried that the plot in this just might end my strectching like this cheese on my pepperoni pizza I'm munching on right now.
And guess what? Going into this read with a bit of caution and with my fingers crossed really did pay off.(Because crossing fingers obviously always saves the day.)
Thanks to that, this book ended up been quite a great read for me.
Everything for her, defiantly had everything for me! The plot stayed steady and intense till the end.Great writing, great secondary characters and interesting leads.
So a 4? Why not a 5 star you might ask?
I really did find this book entertaining and fun .But yes I did cut out a star because I didn't really find the characters to be super original,in their own right.
MEET Elusive Billionare Miles Henry Osbourne.
The guy who loves watching his girlfriend sleep and taking her to meadows more than Edward Cullen does..
And the guy who loves ‘watching’ over ‘The Love of his life’ via numerous security cameras and a team of bodyguards more than Christian Grey does.
And our female protagonist Ms.Mallory Sullivian sweet, sensitive, smart and a sucker for her man.She comes across almost like a carbon cut-out of Anastasia Steele.
Though I did like that she didn't really romanticize the situation she's in..She kind of figured out that his obsession for her was skidding to the danger zone. But I’ve got to give it to her she did try to fight her feeling for a while..even though she knew all her efforts were pretty much in vain.
“I know that I’ll give him what he wants. Like I always do. I’ve been fighting a losing battle. As much as I pretend to hate how overbearing he can be, a part of me loves it, too. My rational brain tells me all these things aren’t okay, but deep down I know I’m only lying to myself. When I think of all the things he’s done for me, and how he’d do anything and everything to have me, I love it.”
I liked her how she explained the reason for accepting their relationship in the end.Because if you look at it from her POV,after having almost no-one in her life to love. She kind of just got lucky in her own way by finding a guy that loves her to the moon and back. Her words, not mine. ;)*Sign*
“Mallory, I’ve loved you from the very second I saw you. The very second. There was no hesitation from my heart that day, and I knew I had to make you mine. I may have gone about it differently than some men would have, but I wouldn’t change anything since it led me to you.”
But nevertheless because I was in the mood for this.I really enjoyed the read a lot ladies ! Would defiantly recommend <3 -
-It’s got that Alexa Riley vibe, supersized. This could be good for you….or not. An Alexa Riley novella has certain hallmarks and I usually can enjoy it for what it is, a tasty bit of smut with OTT situations and sugary sweet love mixed with hot dirty sex. These crazy situations can certainly lead to fun times. I know there are plenty of friends who dug this and I say different strokes and all that. However...
-It, unfortunately, didn’t work for me. Because OTT alpha caveman or as I like to call Oz, creepy stalker dude, may have worked better if I knew less about him. There’s no growth, no real remorse, and he absolutely won’t change a thing because as he says, he just can’t.
-It’s all in the differences. There’s a difference between a protective hero and straight up psycho who never respects the heroine’s decisions. There’s a difference between an empathetic heroine who processes then forgives, and one pretty much “oh well, it’s sweet that he’s that psychotically crazy about me.” These are important distinctions and they can make a romance turn from fun to squick in no time flat. Even some sweet moments that happen in the second half of the book lost some of their sweetness because they felt too little too late.
-Now, don’t get me wrong - I’ve loved dysfunctional romances and Oz and Mallory are that to the nth degree. I don’t necessarily have a problem with a romance like that IF I think the heroine can go toe to toe with her hero and has some self-respect. And that leads me to…
-Let me introduce you to Mallory.
She lets herself be Jedi-mind tricked into thinking obsession is love. All I wanted to tell her was “girl, you need an Order of Protection.” I was “told” several times how smart she is, but she missed so many obvious signs and how can you google and not find out some things? And seriously, when even other characters in the book (including his family members) repeatedly refer to Oz as creepy and obsessed, listen to them. She spent way too much of her inner monologue justifying the hero’s psychotic behavior.
-Future story is more intriguing IMO. To end on a more positive note, I’m way more interested in Paige, who had some pretty kickass moments and Ryan aka Captain, who seems possessive in a non-dickish way. I definitely liked them way more than I did Oz or Mallory.
Nope. Unfortunately, this first full length novel isn’t my cup of tea. The teaser for the next book, however, has potential and two characters that I liked. Fingers crossed.

I loved this book it was totally cute!
Oz was a little crazy, obsessive and extremely possessive but seriously what Alexa Riley Alpha Make isn't??
Going into when I saw it was full length novel I kind of panicked. I mean come on a lot of Alexa Riley books leave you dying for more but are they possible??? Umm..after this..
Oz sees Mallory at a math event when she's 17 and he falls hard.
He's hooked. Totally gone for her and decides right then and there she'll be his, no matter the cost. So he sets his plan in motion to ensure she will eventually lead back to him when the time is right.
I liked Mallory. She was a good heroine. She first meets Oz in a club 4/5 years later and of course falls hard right then and there.
When she finds out Oz set up her whole life so she would one day be near him, she gets pissed but gets over it. And they live HEA.
So the only thing I was like aww that sucks was that we're given drama regarding his dad and I'm not sure what ended up happening there. I'm hoping it's more explained in the next book. Now that one I can't wait for!!!
