Ann Hazelwood’s delightful new series continues in Josephine’s Guest House Quilt. Kate Meyr continues to be charmed by the beauty of Borna, Missouri. Now, after encouragement from her friends Clark and Ellie, she decides to turn her home into a guesthouse, which East Perry County desperately needs. Wanting to acknowledge Dr. Paulson and his wife, Josephine, whose spirit still haunts the home, she names her new business Josephine’s Guest House. Kate also commissions a quilt to be made by her friend Ruth Ann to hang in the entry hall for guests to sign. Everything seems to be coming together and guests are intrigued by Josephine’s presence, but why do some of the guests’ names disappear from the signature quilt and some remain?

Josephines Guest House Quilt (East Perry County #2) Reviews

    Meh.

  • Kathy Willhite

Not high brow fiction, but a feel good story of characters introduced in the first book of this newer series. It has hints of paranormal so it may not appeal to some. Looking forward to future additions to the series.

  • Deborah Sherman

    Bad ending.

I am still enjoying this series. However, the first book was better and I DID NOT like the way this one ended.

  • Jackson

fine entertainment if one does not look too closely

3.5 stars. I really enjoy the life of Kate Meyr and her friends. This book was slightly better as far as writing goes but the friendships and activities of he characters make me look forward to the next story.

THis was another fun story (part 2) of the est perry county series. I think I did not enjoy the first one as much. After talking with my sister in law, she shared that after reading another series, we have to get used to the new characters in the new series. She is right.
I love these characters. Looking forward to book 3.

Could not put this book down-started and finished it in one day. I just love the way she captured the feeling and the whole atmosphere of East Perry County. She portrays so much of that area so well-bringing back fond memories of Saxon Memorial, The Museum and the old Lutheran Seminary.

Perhaps it appeared better in print, but I read it in Kindle and it had several distracting proofreading goofs. I enjoyed the part about quilting but the rest of the story was rather predictable. There was some description of Missouri, but not enough.
