Colour of Murder, The: One Family's Horror Exposes a Nation's Anguish Reviews
-
Well written and well researched. She did interviews with most of the role players numerous times, which I really liked. Her anti-apartheid and humanist voice could be heard through-out the book, although the political rhetoric could get a bit annoying at times, overshadowing the story of the Van Schoors itself. But it could not have been easy getting the whole picture of the family, as none of the brothers wanted to be interviewed by her.
This can maybe be contributed to the fact that most of the political rhetoric and arguments made in the book, which was published in 2006, has lost its impact six years later, because of the quagmire the ruling party finds itself in.
