Banking the Billionaire (Billionaire Bad Boys, #2) Reviews

  • Angie - Angie's Dreamy Reads

“Cassie. My Cassie,” he whispered, the sound of my name guttural and penetrating and completely unfiltered. I felt it all the way to my toes.

This series is EVERYTHING a superb RomCom should be. It's downright hilarious, unequivocally sexy, and enchantingly fun. Sweet, charming, swoony and sassy, it's a series that makes me grin at just the thought. I'm so invested in these characters. They are a part of me as a reader. They make me happy. They give me flutters, shivers, warm flushes. They make me want to sing and dance. They inspire joy and every good thing. That's exactly what a great romance does, it inspires happiness and contentment in the reader.

I'm not sure where Max Monroe came from but they've found a home with this reader. These characters, these books, have burrowed into my heart. I honestly feel as though I've been romanced down to my bones by this extremely well written and well rounded series. And I'm in love.

I am so so so in love.

Each character is a wonderful blend of unique quirkiness. They are lovable and relatable. I swear, I didn't think it could get any better after reading Tapping the Billionaire. Georgia and Kline stole the beat of my heart. They were more than a delight to read. I laughed. I cried. I swooned. I loved. And God, I was not ready to let them go at the end. So when I got Tapping Her, the novella that came after, I was beyond thrilled, but I didn't think it could get better. But then it DID!

    It freaking did.

It got better and better. We not only got more of our sweet Kline and his beloved Benny, but we got an epic introduction to our hero and heroine in Banking the Billionaire, Thatch and Cassie. And by God, I fell deeper. I didn't think it was possible to fall so hard and so deep for a series, but I did. I am slayed by the perfection that is these characters and their stories.

In Banking the Billionaire we get Thatcher Kelly and Cassie Phillips. Thatch is our fantastic and charming Billionaire playboy who is knocked off his feet by the fiercely fiery Cassie. Their story is the complete opposite of what Georgia and Kline's was. Cassie is as far from innocent and sweet as you can get. She's mouthy. She's spicy. She has a deliciously wicked bite to her that Georgie didn't have. She does things that make you grimace and blush. Wild. Untamed. An uninhibited mare in female form. And so much flipping fun.

And then there's Thatch, equally reckless and wild, but yet in the same breath laid back, sexy as f*ck, confident down to his bones, sweet as sin, and completely enamored by this crazy woman who he wants to steal for himself. It's endearing. So breathlessly charming.

Together, Cass and Thatch are FIRE. They're burn you down to the ground. Their chemistry is electric. They have very similar personalities and one of the things they have in common is that they love running pranks and one-upping each other. They get a thrill out of getting a rise out of one another. And they push and push and push each other to their limit.

I can't explain how much I adored the sizzle between these two. Addictive. At first I wasn't sure about Cassie. She's intense. She did things that bothered me, things that made me pause, but then she'd have these moments of softness, of vulnerability, that made me melt.

This is romance with a feisty touch. Two characters who find one another at the perfect time in their lives. Recklessly fun. An attraction leads to a prank that leads to so much more. I'm not telling you much plot wise, but be ready to laugh with abandon as Cassie invites herself into Thatcher's life. And be prepared to swoon for days as Thatch meets her head on and you watch as these two fall in love.

    This is romance, you guys.

    This. Is. Romance.

A magical series that will entice and enamor you beyond words. One that will take your breath away, that will leave you feeling like you could ride a damn unicorn into the sunset. HAHAHA. It's an unforgettable ride. And I cannot say enough good things about this book, this series, or Max Monroe! I want more words. I want more books. I just want more more, more, more. FANTASTIC.

We all remember Thatch & Cassie from the last 1.5 books!
And now they're finally here with their own full-length book!
And I'm sooooo happpy that it's really a FULL-LENGTH book - like pretty long for a summer romance! ☺

Thatch and Cassie have been on each other's minds a lot recently. Both are horribly attracted to the other, but they think that they're just too similar to have a real shot at a Happily Ever After.
Not that Cassie would want that. Yet. Or does she? No... ?

    description

But Thatch does. Even though he comes across as this man-whoring jokester, he's really looking for a forever kind of girl. And he thinks or rather knows that he found her in Cassie.

...and fuck if that hasn't become my singularly most important goal - mean something to the woman who already means all the things to me.

But he also knows it'll be hard to convince that woman to give them a chance.
And while he's doing that he's happy being in love with her tits and knowing that she's kind of obsessed with his dick! ☺

....if there was one thing Thatcher Kelly loved, it was my boobs. For all I knew, he had a fan club dedicated to the mounds on my chest.

And when a game of one-upping each other ends with them living together.... the real fun begins. ☺

    description

But can love that started as a joke be the real & forever kind of love????

WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH CASSIE & THATCH???
WILL THERE BE A HAPPILY EVER AFTER?
I'm not telling you that of course ☺

Eeeeep - finally CASSIE & THATCH!

    description

    I LOoOoOVED THIS BOOK!

How can two people be SO effing perfect for each other?
They shouldn't - don't people always say opposites attract? And those two are not opposites. They're the same. The same kind of crazy and adorable and sweet and sexy and good and kind and ugh. It's almost a bit incestuous they way they're attracted to a person that similar to themselves. ☺

I JUST LOVED CASSIE & THATCH.
The way they are with each other. Starting with only liking each other and talking/texting and yes, being attracted...but it was all just friendship with the hope of some future sex. Nothing serious.

But now they're living together trying to out-joke the other all while falling in love, but not really being sure if it's all real, because it was all supposed to be a prank....but it's not anymore.
A little confusing but so amazing.

The banter and one-upping. It's just beyond hilarious and adorable and sexy.
I'm sure their life will never be boring for one second!
Should there be a Happy End for them of course...who knows. I'm not telling you ☺☺☺

Of course it's not 100% all happy, funny, easy... there are some serious parts too.

PERFECT SUMMER ROMANCE! YOU WILL PROBABLY SHOCK SOME PEOPLE ON THE BEACH WHILE READING AND LAUGHING & QUOTING OUT LOUD! ☺

BANKING THE BILLIONAIRE was beyond hilarious! Such a fun & adorable & sexy romance! Run to your nearest amazon to get THATCHED!!!

And now I can't wait for more - there will be a novella coming and after that it's time for Wes - the 3rd buddy and football-club-owner & his Winnie - who was Georgie's brother's boss at the hospital and she's a single mom! GIMMMMEEEEE!!!

Sometimes you just need a good laugh

Max Monroe is a fairly new to me comedy duo, that is quickly becoming one of my favourites. Now, I will admit that writing a review with a couple of people as the author, going by one name, is hard for me to be consistent with. I may mistakenly refer to “them”, “her” or any other multitude of terms. So, to make it clear from the start, I know they are two, writing as one, I just may not seem like it sometimes. Sorry, tangent…like bloody usual. Anyways, I friggin loved Banking the Billionaire.

If I was to take both of these characters, break them down, separate them and put them in other stories with other people, I probably wouldn’t like them. See, he’s a flirt and winks and smirks at everything. Thatch is also a goofball, prankster who is 35 acting like a 21-year-old. He’s a giant of a man, with good looks, a big bank balance, a big brain and a big…smile. Thatch loves women and makes a conscious effort to share that love frequently. So, Thatch is one of those guys where I may look at him in admiration for his…assets, but I don’t look at him for the long haul.

Now, let’s look at the fun-loving, flirty, reckless and stubborn heroine. She’s got all the right moves, a smoking hot body and a career that many women would envy. Photographing naked hot guys hardly seems like a job, but she’s made herself a name doing it and gets paid for it. Cassie also seems a little immature and takes her pranking very seriously. When I met Cassie, I knew that she was going to be a hard one to nail down, and may not be great with relationships.

So, we take these two characters, and magic happens. What started off as a joke on each other ended up being the real deal. There’s heat, heart and humour that shows their connection. These two were meant for each other. It goes to show, that everyone deserves their happy ever after and your perfect match is out there just waiting to be found.

What makes Max Monroe such a success (in my eyes), is their ability to make you laugh, cry, cringe, smirk and blush…all within one page. It’s a treat to read one of her books and you can’t help but make it an experience. I loved that I could go into my zone (the reading zone) escape reality for a little while and be entertained from start to finish. There is no “spot the errors” and no “please don’t cheat, please don’t cheat” running through my head. It’s just a fun journey towards love that takes a few turns, may involve a slippery slide or a mountain to climb and gathers momentum until the end.

Do I recommend this series? I sure do. Will I keep going with this series? Yeppers. Do I love the characters? Too bloody right.

Now, that I’ve had a wee bit of a squiz at Winnie and Wes, I can’t wait to get started on Scoring the Billionaire soon…ish.

It's maybe a little ridiculous how much I loved this book, and Thatcher Kelly. Seriously, I wouldn't thatch that... I'd thatch THE FUCK outta that.

Good grief, I don't think this book could have been better. It was smart. Unpredictable. Sexy as hell. Funny as fuck. Touching. Emotional. And left me with a tear in my eye and a Thatcher Kelly sized smile on my face.

Which, let's be honest, is pretty damn big. The Jolly Green Giant is...well, perfect. Playful and flirty and kind and thoughtful and oof, with a dirty mouth and the moves to back it up. I don't care to admit how many times my thighs clenched and my heart got all mushy while reading Banking the Billionaire—sometimes even at the same time.

And that's just ONE of the reasons why I loved this book even more than the first, Tapping the Billionaire. (Don't tell Wheorgie and Kline I said that, okay?!) Other reasons include, but are not limited to: Cassie and her sassy, snarky mouth; Georgia, Kline and the friendship they have with our main couple; Wes, and the promise of another Billionaire Bad Boys book, which has the potential to top this one; the seamless writing which meant that I never quite knew what was coming next, and which kept me interested, involved and guessing from go to whoa.

And finally, the big, fat epilogue that was...simply brilliant. That absolutely flawless ending was rewarding and satisfying and left me wanting MORE, while giving me everything I needed to round out this ridiculously excellent book experience.

So, yeah, it might be a little crazy to have loved this book so muc—you know what? No. It's not crazy AT ALL. And if you don't believe me, thatch that and find out for yourself... ~ Beth, 6 Honey stars

This was super funny and enjoyable. Been looking forward to reading this couple's story, and they delivered! Some parts of the story lagged slower than I liked, but the steam was hawt and the characters were likeable, so I'm not complaining :)

    Onwards to the next book:
    Banking Her.

Told in dual POV with multiple POV epilogue that introduces us into the heads of the next 2 characters. Could be read as a standalone but due to so many background references from the previous book, this story would be better enjoyed read in series order.

    4 Crazy Good STARS

Too wild to be innocent, too authentic to be wicked.

Who would have thought I would be giving 4 solid stars to a romcom book? I’m not much of a fan of romcom books, and I’m even worse with romcom movies. But this book was so good I actually enjoyed it a lot more than I expected to.

I must say that the first 10 chapters had me doubting about if reading the whole thing was a good idea, but after that I just felt the story got better and I was really into it.
We had started our relationship on a joke, constantly trying to one-up and out-prank each other, but somewhere along the way, things had changed.

The characters are so likeable. Cassie is a successful freelance photographer, and she is so damn crazy. She’s loud and opinionated, and is not afraid to be herself in public. She gave me a lot of funny moments to laugh about, and I´m sure that if I’d have been with her I would probably passed out because of embarrasment. She was fun, sweet, loyal and I really enjoyed her as a MC. Thatcher on the other hand was amazing. He was a prankster and a sweet guy as well. He didn’t get intimidated by Cassie’s antics and always looked for her to be happy, and I just plainly enjoyed of him as a character.

The humor was amazing. It started a little ridiculous and I was scared of repeating the fiasco of the previous novella in the series, but it wasn’t like that. The freaking pranks and one-upings were so damn fun, the antics they played to each other never ceased to make me shake my head at how ridiculous funny they were.
"Only one type of woman would pull a dick move like that, and she ain´t doing it while wearing Louboutins."
"What about a guy who would pull that kind of shit? What´s he wearing?"
    "Tommy Hilfiger."
"Thatchastasia is a bit of a fashionista. I had no idea."
He chuckled. "I´ll let you spank me later."

As far as their relationship, I enjoyed it more in this book. The previous ones the romance was meh, but in this one I just loved it. The chemistry this two had was obvious, and I loved how from a joke of “moving in” together their feelings started to grow to something more.

I´d actually say to just read this book and forget about the other ones, because they are nothing compared to this one. If you´re looking for a crazy fun romcom, with hilarious and wild characters that are sweet as well, this is the one for you.

Banking the Billionaire is the second installment of Max Monroe's Billionaire Bad Boys series and will have you laughing like a loon. Thatch and Cassie are two very out-there and crazy characters that had me constantly wondering what they would do next. There was no limit on the amount of insanity that these characters brought to the book and that's what I loved about it.

Cassie and Thatch were the perfect match for each other, both crazier than you can even imagine and both very confident people. I actually really liked how their relationship started and it definitely wasn't in a conventional way, which fit these characters perfectly.

Bottom line, this is another winner from this series and another book that I will highly recommend.

  • Paula

This book is good...if you don't mind OTT, raunchy humor - which IMO started to get old by the 40% mark. I love romantic comedies, but the humor was a bit too loco for me. And there was just so much sex. It is possible to have too many sex scenes.*gasp*

I'm still looking forward to the next book. I love Wes! But I hope the authors tone it down on the crazy in the 3rd book.

  • Michelle

In the second full length novel from the secretive writing duo, Max Monroe, we get the full story of Thatch & Cassie that started with the novella Tapping Her.

Going into this book I knew that these two would be off the charts crazy and sexually explosive. But.... but boy was I surprised by the way the emotions hit me towards the end. I have to be completely honest, rom-coms aren’t really my favorite sub-genre of romance, and I over-the-top-crazy isn’t really my thing, so I was worried as I started this about the book having enough substance to hold my attention. But what got me was the way it went from this out of control laugh fest to this emotional rollercoaster that had me loving Thatch and my heart breaking for him. I didn’t expect that and it was the best sort of surprise.

Banking the Billionaire delivers in both the laughs department and in heart. Cassie was this anti-relationship gal, worried about giving her heart to anyone long term when her life had always been about the short term gratification. How is a woman going to go the distance when nothing seems to hold her interests? But that is when Thatch comes into the picture. Rich. Player. Goof-ball. But not adverse to love.

But the hilarity ensues when these two pranksters refuse to give up, a constant stream of one-upmanship that turns a game into a relationship and then so much more.

Not only has Max Monroe intrigued the reading world by trying to sort out just who these writing duo is, they have captivated with this laugh out loud romance that is addicting and off the charts hot!

  • J. Grayland

This is book two in this series and it follows the budding romance between the confident, sarcastic and beautiful photographer Cassie Phillips and her BFF's husbands BFF, the adrenaline junkie, sexy hot billionaire thatcher Kelly as they fall, play and prank each other into bed. The story line was good and the comedic banter between these two characters was hilarious, the sex was hot and so was Thatcher I just didn't like Cassie she was just too whoreish for me. Narrated by unfortunately an annoying narrator that sounded like she was sick with a cold or had a speech impediment didn't help my interest, although the sexy tone of Jeremy York certainly did.

    I loved Tapping the Billionaire.
I was disappointed by Tapping Her.

I was torn between picking up Banking the Billionaire or not. I already had the ebook on my kindle so I finally thought why not. It'll be a good inbetween book, a story I don't need to be paying too much attention to. And I was right. There was not too much subtance to this story. It was mostly very superficial and simple.
For my taste it was also a little too goofy and too over the top. I love romantic comedies, I really do, but not comedies like this. I had the feeling that the authors wanted to be funny at all cost and wrote every funny situation they knew of into this story. Being desperately funny, doesn't really work for me.
I also think that it was a little bit too long.

There were situations I really really liked but there were others I could only roll my eyes at.
Like a scene toward the end in which Thatcher couldn't forgive Cassie about something she did. Dude, how would she even know or understand your point of view when you don't even bother to tell her what's wrong. She can't read your mind, you know? That's stupid.
And Cassie... I was super annoyed by her and her childish behavior...

This novel is something for inbetween but nothing more.

Continuing my obsession with a certain series...I just finished Cassie and Thatch's story, and they were just EVERYTHING! This just keeps getting better and better! Each one is more hilarious and more sexy than the last. I can't wait to dive into Wes's story!

    3 king of one-upping stars!

    I loved meeting Thatch in
Tapping the Billionaire and I loved him a little more in this story. He was quick witted, dirty mouthed and sexy. I wish that there had been a bit more talking about his past and how it had affected him, because it was barely touched on and I feel it could have been a great addition to the story. But I know that this is a light hearted romantic comedy so it might not have worked.

“Because it’s our book, Cassie. Yours and mine. This is our story, and I’ll be damned if I let it end badly.”

Cassie started to get on my nerves a bit. There's only so much of her raunchy dialogue and her independent attitude I could take before it started to wear on my nerves. There were times where she left me laughing and others where I wanting to slap her and tell her to cut it out!

I enjoyed the first half of Thatch and Cassie's story, the second half of the book left me wanting something more. The storyline was a cute, a relationship based on pranks; from moving in with each other, a pet pig, and more. Neither one really ready to confess how they really felt about the other.

I hate to say that it was 'just okay' for me, but that's just all I can think of to describe how I felt about it.

I will be reading the next book in the series because now I'm curious about Winnie & Wes!

    3.75 Banking the Billionaire

Ok don’t kill me, I loved book one soo much and I would have loved this one just as hard but I felt it dragged on too long.

Kinda to the point, I thought of turning it off to be honest. :( And I loved Cassies humor and all out wit, but too much.
And ok I am all for men who can go with the flow, but I also kinda think Cassie was carrying Thatcher balls around in her purse. It was funny sure but I wanted him to grow a pair a little bit too.

Also Cassie is not a mind reader… So if you want her to know something, dud you have to tell her.
Over all though this book was fun and I enjoyed the heck out of it. But I do think some things could have been cut out and it would have been an even better book.

But again it’s just my opinion :) so yeah.

Loved the narration it was perfect for both characters they did a great job keeping me involved.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

This was totally crazy. Head to toe crazy. Full on crazy.
See now I'm even writing crazy. What can i say it was plain ridiculous. And i loved every moment of it. I might haven't laughed this loud in any other book as much as i did in this and more frequently. And just when i was plain happy with everything going on Max Monroe threw in emotions. I really, really need to know who this duo consists of.
This secretive duo has created another masterpiece as Thatcher. And i can't even about Cassie. My poor stomach took the force of them.
They played prank on each other until the other one cracked & i started cracking up with laughter. Seriously i even got a few looks from people thinking i've gone mad.

And until they started feeling for each other.

    And it was absolutely amazing.

I loved LOVED Tapping the Billionaire, I didn't think that anything could top it. I fell so hard for the characters, and I just wanted to read more about Kline & Georgia forever! But then, getting to know Thatch & Cassie, oh my gosh, I was hooked by the first chapter. I FUCKING loved them both.

These two had me laughing out loud constantly. But holy shit I felt this story to my core you guys. It was real and sweet and epic and FUN.

I want to live in this world that Max Monroe has created. I want to be part of the gang, and the best part is... I totally feel like I am. This is one of the greatest bunch of characters I've ever read about. Its non-stop jokes and ribbing each other, but they have the upmost respect for eachother, they're a family and I love that.

Nothing makes me happier then knowing that there will be a third book about WES: I can't wait to learn more about this mysterious guy. I have loved what I've already gotten to know about him, and any friend of Thatch, is a friend of mine. ;) I know for a fact that Winnie is going to give him a run for his money. And I can't wait to go along for the ride. :)

Ahhhh, the gentle green giant meets sassy ass, dick slapping love interest lol, this one was great, full of humor, and potty mouths up the ying yang.
I was great, and definitely recommend for romance buzzers such as myself.

Sensualità: battutine sconce e diverse scene hot!
    Caratteristiche: commedia romantica, divertente, esilarante
    Stile narrativo: scorrevole
    Tipo di finale: auto-conclusivo
    Voto: 4 stelle

    5.0 "I'd Thatched That" Stars!!!

The funny thing about when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with someone, is you don’t want to waste another second of your life without them. You want it all. Right now.

Hot Damn!!! This book is full of surprises! If I thought I love Georgia and Kline, well I thought so damn wrong because now I love Thatch and Cassie more!Banking the Billionaire is FLAT OUT ROMCOM PERFECTION AND IT'S SO MUCH MORE! And THATCHER KELLY???

    HE.IS.MINE!!!

Oh.My.God..Oh.My.God!!! This book really tested my control and my sanity I feel like I am in crack laughing my heart out so damn fucking loud people gave me a hard glare and officemate knocking on my wall because I really can't contain my laughter. Oh you cannot blame me. Once I started reading the book I could not put it down so I was reading like mad woman with a permanent smile and laugh plastered on my face and warm flushes. Dayum! Knickers soaked so you better forget all about wearing it 'cause you might just ruin it.

“I’m down for role-playing, honey. I’ll even put a cape on my cock if that’s what you’re into.” Well, that was a hot visual. “But how would I blow you?”“You wouldn’t . I’d be too busy with my mouth on your pussy. We’ll save the blow job for our second date.”

*Scorching hot and I was not even hitting at 50% yet and that's saying something because there's still plenty you might as well have a female version of blue balls and a locked jaw from laughing so damn loud. Oh yes! A combination of both. Who wouldn't???

Thatch is a fucking fantasy in the sack. His good points?

    1. Insatiable endurance.
    2. Sexy as fuck body.
    3. Huge and thick schlong.
    4. Delicious dirty-talker.
    5. His PhD in oral.
See what I mean? You’d be trolling Amazon for a dick carry-on too!

and Cassie..My God this woman is your kind of Crazy!!! She's so wild and adorable. So funny and witty with her pranks and her antics??Just whoa!! I couldn't even with that Piggy!!!

These two sure got some chemistry!!! Opposites to the opposites attract but baby they're but the same and together they'reEXPLOSIVE!Their sexual appetite is to die for and their moments together is worth bottling. Oh, What started as game of pranks...one upping and battle of wills of these two keeps getting interesting until it changed and turned out to be something more. Somewhere along the line, feelings bloomed until jokes and pranks are no longer instead it became so much more.

“We’re on the same page.”“But how do you know?” I asked. “What if we’re not even reading the same fucking book?”“Because I know.” His mouth quirked up at the corners as a confident smile took over his lips. “We’re on the same word, in the same paragraph, on the same page, in the same fantastic fucking book.”“But how do you know?”“Because it’s our book, Cassie. Yours and mine. This is our story, and I’ll be damned if I let it end badly.”

Seriously guys, Banking the Billionaire is a GREAT ROMCOMbook. Max Monroe just keeps getting better and better and every book they deliver just keep getting EVERYTHING to readers. I must say I was not just surprised with the book but I was in awe with it. The writing was excellent and it hits every part of my being. Sure I was laughing so damn hard and swooning, add it up with bothered because I was so damn turned on but this story is just so much more and there's just a particular plot I am really rooting for. I did not expect such a scene though, and that particular scene just added more substance to the story. I was supposed to lol but a tear managed to leak!!! I was crying for effs sake!!! The feels nearing the end is WHOA!!! What-the-loving-fuck right? Great job to these authors because they just don't manage to make us laugh but fall in love all over again. BANKING THE BILLIONAIRE is more than just a ROMCOM story!

    She was crazy.
    Wild. Chaos & beauty.
    My heart. Mine.

“When it comes to you, I have an endless supply of sweet, Cassie.”

THIS BOOK!! I highlighted so many parts that are SO dirty, they cannot be printed here!! Although part of a series, Cassie and Thatcher’s story is a standalone – I did not read the first book and I still loved this one. Banking the Billionaire is a dirty, hilarious romantic comedy, perfect if you are looking for a really sexy, really filthy fast read.

Cassie and Thatch are both classic pranksters, so immediately these two try to out-prank each other. Including moving in with each other and getting engaged. But perfectly mixed in with raunchy comedy are some real feelings and great connection with the characters. These two authors have a wicked sense of humor and I found myself thinking, “Did they actually just write that??” LOVED these two and their off-the-charts steamy chemistry!!

“Two serial daters with nearly blank relationship histories were engaged. To each other. I’d have been tempted to call an exorcist if I weren’t fucking thrilled to be chained to this devil."

This book was much than I was expecting, it’s smart, funny, totally raunchy with a fantastic epilogue. I really don’t care who Max Monroe is as long as they keep writing these gems!!!
