“I want this book to be the simplest, clearest, frankest work I have the power to make it, that I may encourage you to function imaginatively, that you may open your "Immortal Eyes inwards into the Worlds of Thought," where you behold every desire of your heart as ripe grain "white already to harvest." Truth depends upon the intensity of the imagination, not upon external facts. Facts are the fruit bearing witness of the use or misuse of the imagination. Man becomes what he imagines. He has a self-determined history. Imagination is the way, the truth, the life revealed.” —Neville Goddard

I was listening to a lecture by Dr. Wayne Dyer a couple of weeks ago and he recommended Neville's works as tools for the realization of self. I'm very glad that I took his advice and picked up a few of them.

Neville Goddard has some profound insights on desires, manifestation, and idealization. I had read some of his techniques and visualizations from different New Age authors... I didn't realize that they had taken some self improvement exercises directly from his work. I like reading original ideas from their source, tho I'm also open to modern interpretations like Dyer's book, Wishes Fulfilled.

Read this if you're truly interested in 'awakening your imagination'. This book has some powerful suggestions and practices in it for that specific purpose.

Imagination awakened is one of the simplest explanation of Imagination and application of it from day to day experiences to attaining any major desire in life. Author conveys Imagination is the inner power that we hold and call by different names be it God, higher self, consciousness.

Couple of points to consider from the book –

•The abundant life that Christ promised us is ours to experience now, but not until we have the sense of Christ as our imagination can we experience it.

•Imagination’s birth and growth is the gradual transition from a God of tradition to a God of experience. If the birth of Christ in man seems slow, it is only because man is unwilling to let go the comfortable but false anchorage of tradition.

•Freedom and forgiveness are indissolubly linked. Not to forgive is to be at war with ourselves for we are freed according to our capacity to forgive. Forgive, not merely from a sense of duty or service, forgive because you want to.

    Great Inspiration

I loved this book because it is written so simple, yet such powerful words.
It is a source of inspiration for me, I really enjoy this kind of reading and this book has helped me realize how much power we have and how little we use it...
Definite recommendation for people searching for more.

    A true awakening

With each book I am guided to read from Neville, this modern day prophet, I awaken more than I even conceived that I could. As you allow yourself to journey on the road of spiritual metaphysics, this work will no doubt solidify a deep understanding that a part of you knew, but didn't know you knew. Take your time here, enjoy the meal.

    Intriguing

I slept on this book... the vernacular was difficult for me to understand a first but I took my time and got through it and I’m amazed by the life gems I discovered in this book.

    Inspiring and Beautiful

I was universally led to this beautiful book. I love Nevilles style of writing and has opened my world to the true power of our imaginations. I have now bought all of his books....that's the impression this book left in me

Imagine with intense conviction and it will come in to be.

    Speak kindly over yourself

Pro: uplifting book that speaks about the power of imagination, and how important it is to think about, and speak only what you want as if it was guaranteed for you in on its way

I found this book to be pretty repetitive. That’s a good thing if you like to receive the information multiple times in different ways.

Just pure and utter garbage that does not scientifically logical empirically connect imagination to the neurological structure, systems and chemical concepts that provide the functional elements of the brain. In short, it is based on misogynous religious lies and fairytales that are now archaic in the 21st century.
A real waste of time but it is interesting to note that there are still a lot of uneducated, prejudiced and barbaric people out there with no sense of evidence and mathematically based science. No wonder the world is such a mess - because my god(s) story is better than yours. And therefore it is totally acceptable and justified when I kill your heathen children - they are just worthless collateral damage.

In the end this is barely even a half star.

    Good reading...

    Buena lectura...

  • Mike Brennan

This encapsulate pretty much all Goddard had to say.

Good book, but I found it a tad difficult to read.

If there was just one Neville to read, I would choose this one.

This is a good book by Neville, but I got more out of listening to his awesome lectures. I went through it rather quickly and couldn't put it down until I was finished. It is not as clearly understood as listening to the audios, but maybe I was just hooked on hearing his voice.

If you like Neville's works you will want to add this to your collection. There are a lot of points in the book that you will want to bookmark or remember on a deeper level.

I fell in love with Neville and his teachings whatever the format. I just wish his original lectures were clearer in audio. The remakes of them are of a man who speaks too fast for me.
