London (American) Records was the channel through which music from almost all the key US Indie Labels reached British and other ears in the fifties and sixties. This book addresses the London heritage and it does it through the music.
Taking full advantage of the Kindle Fire's capabilities - though those without can use the free Amazon reading app - "London Rocks" is essentially an amplified record of tweets containing YouTube addresses and comments on London singles from 1954 to 1963. The "record" consists of an actual Twitter monologue from the author (which does sometimes take on board feedback), and amplification which comes in the form of biographic and other explanatory text plus occasional personal touches.
The author has already written a near definitive book on fifties/sixties music in "RocknRoll". " London Rocks " could justifiably be seen as " The Musical".
