Exhumation of a Murder Reviews

I can't help but just love this case. There really is nothing like a English murder. Armstrong is one of the most interesting characters,at least in my mind, to be condemned for the murder of his wife. Very much the gentleman, but browbeaten by his formidible wife he resorts to poison. A wonderful telling of the story, including photos (yeah!) and all the little things that help you to understand the times and people involved. Well written and infinitely interesting.

An interesting story I've never heard before.
The tale is set in Hay-on-Wye, a place I've visited many times over the years as it's famous for its bookshops. Having stayed at Cusop where the murder took place a few times I now know that I've walked past the house where Armstrong murdered his wife. -
Fascinating stuff. Looking forward to the new book out about this case.

Excellent basis for the BBC movie, "Dandelion Dead."
