It's walk time! Who shall we see at the park today?
The Whole Caboodle Reviews
-
This book is fun - from start to finish - as the author presents a simple tale of dog waiting impatiently for a walk getting ready and then getting to the park. The fun is in the crazy nonsense text that plays on the rhyme in 'caboodle' and in the gorgeous illustrations with the range of dogs artfully disguised within the landscape that the dog and owner are traversing.
The text is a romp of exuberance - "wakey wakey peachy pear, my fuzzy-wuzzy grizzly bear, my tootsy- wootsy fizzyjig, my hurdie- gurdie whirligig! the play on words to misrepresent the various dog breeds with exotic names - giant schnoodles instead of giant schnauzers - will also provide a springboard for investigation.
The first joke is the similarity in appearance of the man and his dog and then simply hidden dogs within the double page spreads.
Great fun throughout and highly recommended. -

Erk ... pass the barf (not bark) bucket. OTT dog love. Save me from of the smoochie, woochie poochies. There's cute then there's poop chute. Shovel it and bury it.
