  Best Lesbian Erotica of the Year, Volume 1 (Best Lesbian Erotica #23) was a scrumptious anthology with lots of good names. It was already a winner when I discovered there was a Vanessa de Sade tucked in there (one that I hadn’t read yet, yay!).
  
  D.L. King put together 18 very diverse stories, surely there is something for everyone to enjoy. Absolute highlights for me where:
  
  Act Two by Tamsin Flowers, Pledge Night by Radclyffe, Coyote Girl by Evey Brett, Revenant by Vanessa de Sade, Crème Brûlée by Sacchi Green (read this one before), A Cooking Egg by Roxy Katt and Covert Affairs by V. Florian.

  Ok, full disclosure, I have a story in this Anthology. I won't review that one other than to say, I think it's my best short to date. :) But I didn't want to miss out on the chance of letting potential readers know about the awesome stories inside.
  
  01. Act Two by Tamsin Flowers: Two rival opera singers battle it out until the thin line between lust and hate shatters. Very nice build up here.
  02. Fuckin' Nice by Deb Jannerson: A rumored feud brings two women together to set the record straight. Their mutual attraction heats up and boils over into a very sexy encounter.
  03. The Last Time by Annabeth Leong: A little outdoor fun at a Tegan and Sara concert and a chance meeting years later. This story has depth.
  04. You Have the Right to Remain Naked by Samantha Luce: Hot motorcycle cop, handcuffs, and...
  05. Mother Tongue by Camille Duvall: A shy girl comes out of her shell
  06. Pledge Night by Radclyffe: Sorority sister shenanigans. It's by Radclyffe. Hot level is off the charts!
  07. Coyote Girl by Evey Brett: And now for something completely different.
  08. Spa Day by Taylor C. Dunne: A little domination is good for the soul.
  09. Revenant by Vanessa de Sade: Reminiscing leads to a life change.
  10. Off Season by Valerie Alexander: Hot jocks.
  11. Taming May by Megan McFerren: Sexy BDSM
  12. Crème Brûlée by Sacchi Green: Hello Butch. Lots of food, sculpting, and...
  13. Bush Garden by J. Belle Lamb: Karaoke night and the song is "Pony" by Ginuwine. 'Nough said.

  15. Two Women Having Sex by Elna Holst: Yep, pretty much what the title says. Different style. Sexy

  1) Great collection of stories, all with punch, some with wit. These are great writers. You don't have to like erotica to read these short stories.

  This is collection of erotic stories that are pretty well written. Overall, these tales will warm your cockles well. A few of the tales are 5☆ worthy and will leave you panting and wanting more.

  3 stars. I never really get much from anthologies but this was fine. The only author I’d read before was Radclyffe who hands down had the best (and hottest story) in this collection called ‘Pledge Night’. It was super hot. I also liked ‘Mother Tongue’ by Camille Duvall and ‘Coyote Girl’ by Evey Brett. Those were the standouts for me.
