Innocence.

We’re all born with it. Navigating through life as though power, privilege, and money don’t rule the world. I’m guilty of it. I walked around, ignorantly thinking that the PITCREW, the most popular guys in high school, was where you wanted to be or who you wanted to date. They could have any girl they wanted, but they needed a challenge. They needed something to do to make their miserable existence exciting.

That’s where I came in.

How was I to know that the one night I willingly gave away my innocence would set off a chain of events, turning my world upside down?

Now, ten years later, it’s my turn to use sex, money, and lies to take from them all that they took from me . . . and more.

But the road to retribution has its twists and turns and I don’t want to make the innocent mistake of crashing.

SEVEN, the number of men that Embry plans to destroy.
TEN; the number of years she's had to devise her epic plan for revenge.

Amy Marie is a new to me author, so when the ARC requests came across my email, I was intrigued by the synopsis; it was a no brainer.....SIGN ME UP baby!

I don't want to give a play by play, but, what do you do when for the last ten years, all you thought about was seeking vengeance against those that hurt you?

This is not just a game of manipulation and deceit; every plan, every calculated move, and every decision will share the same outcome; destruction. It's not simply bull-dozing all that's in your path, because if you're not careful, it could be you that gets trapped underneath all the rubble.

Ms. Marie makes note at the end of this book that SEVEN was not supposed to end in a cliffhanger, and as much as I loathe cliffhangers, I'm very excited for the continuation of the 2nd book in this series, Casen and it will be told in his POV!!!

Ms. Marie, I will beg now for an ARC of Casen's story because you knocked it out of the park :D

    Seven by Amy Marie
    4.5 stars!!

“A decade ago, they hurt me. A decade later, they will pay.”

Amy Marie is a new to me author and this was one of those books that I picked up because of the synopsis. There is nothing better than a good “revenge” book but they are extremely hard to pull off well, especially when the heroine is the revenger, but as the saying goes…hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

Embyr/Annie is out for revenge, seven boys ruined her life ten years ago and the anger has festered and festered, now she is stronger, fitter, resourceful and extremely confident, a far cry from the shy wall flower she once was. Embyr has grown a pair, she is sassy, she is strong, she is extremely clever and intensely devious and conniving. Gone is the cute, honest school girl, in her place is a beguiling woman with curves in all the right places…the best attributes to put her plan into action.

“But, looks can be deceiving, and I’m as deceitful as they come.”

The PITCREW were the boys that everyone wanted to be a part of, boys that everyone wanted to emulate and the boys that everyone wanted to be friends with or the girlfriends of. Together they ruled the school, together they were a cohesive unit, together they were typical high school boys who never second guessed their actions and the consequences thereof. To them the games they played, were just that…games, but to their victims they destroyed them, none more so than Embyr.

    Patrick
    Ian
    Thad
    Casen
    Reece
    Evan
    Wesley

    …their days were numbered.

Ten years on Annie has now reinvented herself as Embyr, not only is her demeanour the total opposite but add in drastic weight loss, new hair colour and coloured contact lenses…a huge part of being unrecognisable to her once assailants. Embyr is like a well-trained sniper, picking off her victims one by one…she finds their weaknesses, finds their transgressions and makes them pay…she destroys them, but what happens when she comes up against Casen, the boy she loved? There is a fine line between love and hate…which emotion will be stronger? What will happen when the past is seen through different lenses?

“I smile deviously. Oh Casen. I’m going to destroy you.”

Amy Marie delivered a real pager turner, one that I didn’t want to put down. Embyr is hard not to love and support through her quest for revenge but her relationship with Casen will have you willing her to put her quest aside and grab the one thing she has always wanted, love and happiness…especially with the man that she had always loved.

“And, for the first time since I started this journey of revenge, I feel like maybe – just maybe – I’m going to be the one to get hurt.”

Casen was adorable in every way, cocky enough to be charming, a ripped fire fighter but a man with a heart of gold, he was hard not to love. Once past truths come tumbling out will Embyr see Casen for the man he is now or who she perceived he once was. Will the past irrevocably alter her one change at happiness?

“I guess I’m a bit of everything. You know the ‘gentleman in the street but a freak in the sheets’ kind of guy.”

I loved this authors writing style, she really delivered on the suspense and intrigue while also delivering emotion and fantastic character connection. Her characters were believable and the secondary characters were all well rounded, fleshed out and had their parts to play. Amy Marie really delivered on the down and dirty too only drawing you into Embyr and Casen’s relationship even more and wishing upon all hope that somehow these two can come out the other side unscathed. I cannot wait for Casen in the Fall. I appreciate that the author wanted to make this a standalone, but this is a story that demands length and I am glad that we are getting a second book. I cannot wait to see what the author has in store, I for one will be diving in.

"A decade ago, they hurt me. A decade later, they will pay."

Embyr had been done wrong in high school and now she wants the get back at the guys who ruined her life. She wants revenge. I was really excited when I read the blurb because I love a good "woman gets revenge" story. Seven started off so strong and I loved that it also was very sexy and dirty. I don't like these type of stories to be on the tame side. A woman on a mission will do anything to get the job done. That was definitely the case with Embyr.

There are SEVEN guys on her list of whose lives she has to ruin. She has had a one-track mind for the last decade and all she can think about is getting even with the PITCREW. I admire her determination but it was obvious that not everything would go as planned.

I really enjoyed the first half of the book. Embyr was pretty badass and very resourceful. I was excited to see how she would get back at every guy because she was quite creative. However in cases of revenge you do have to do your research and make sure the person is guilty before you go after them. Embyr did not do enough research for every guy and that resulted in great complications.

I enjoyed the plot but I just couldn't really connect with Embyr that much. Especially the last quarter of the book I was getting disconnected from her even more. That resulted in me not really caring about the ending. I do want to mention that the sex and dirty talking was phenomenal. It was really hot! I also enjoyed the writing style and secondary characters. The cover is beautiful as well. I do hope you give this book a chance because I know a lot of people will really enjoy it.

Seven , that's how many people ruined Annie's life and she was going to make them pay. Known as the PITCREW - these seven guys decided to make Annie's life hell during her High School years especially when they decided to make a bet on which one of them could have their way with her first. After the bet was completed, they had a sex tape of her and held it over her head and then the night of graduation - they released it to the whole school. Tragedy followed soon after and Annie escaped to make a new fresh slate for herself and reinvented herself as Embyr . As Embyr , she worked up the perfect plan to get revenge and bring down the lives of all seven of the PITCREW. Now ten years later, she has started to put the plan into action and is slowly making her way through the list. All is going well, until she gets to the C of the group Casen and she finds herself slowly falling in love with him and when he tells his story of regret - she discovers that he was in fact in love with her all along and has been secretly searching for Annie and has always regretted the way she was treated. Can Embyr stop with her plan or has she come to far ? What happens when she starts to fall deeper and deeper and vice versa for Casen and her past comes back to haunt her ? Can she tell him the truth in time or will he feel betrayed and her Karma will come back to bite her on the bottom ? I have to say firstly that I did love this book and it was fast-paced and really captivating, but on a personal level - I am a HEA type of girl unless for a strong reason you can't have one then that's alright. The ending for SEVEN didn't really do it for me as I had hoped it would have a nicer twist rather than a short, blunt ending and an ending that really screams the motto that A) Payback is the B word and B) Karma really does exist. The ending is the thing standing between my rating of 5 stars and a 5 stars and Highly Recommended.
I did read at the end of this book that the author has decided to write a POV novel for Casen's view , so I will be interested if she leaves it at the same ending or adds a little more on for readers.

Like the old saying goes Karma is a b*tch!!

This book is about revenge, deceit , lies, and reflection. Embyr/Annie is hell bent on making the guys in high school get what's coming to them after what they did. She slowly starts taking the "PITCREW" down one by one but there's a problem. Embyr starts to fall for one of the members, Casen. In his defense he wasn't apart of her torment but he didn't do anything to stop it either which is just as bad. As she spends more with him and he confesses his feelings for Annie it only makes things worse. Casen made her change all her rules and start to question if she should continue to go down this path of revenge. I did feel their connection was just a little to fast. I also felt he was still hung up on Annie and often said how Embyr reminds him of her so I don't know if he really fell for Embyr. Don't even get me started on the ending! Talk about gut wrenching!! My heart broke after reading that and I can't wait to see what happens next. Over all I did enjoy this book as this is a new to me author. Her writing style was good and her plot kept me intrigued.

Seven is about Embyr Quinn and her journey for vengeance. She was a victim of a horrible bet turned blackmail by a group of popular guys in high school known as the PITCREW, each letter representing the first names of her tormenters. Skip to ten years later and she’s changed her name, her appearance and has done thorough research in order to exact her revenge on each and every one of them. The only problem is that she can’t resist the pull she has towards Casen Parker—The C in Pitcrew.

The first half of the book was somewhat slow for me, but I kept going because the story was intriguing enough that I needed to find out what this bet entailed and who was responsible for what action. I understood Embyr’s need to get these guys back for what they’ve done to her, but some of her actions had me shaking my head. She methodically moves from guy to guy with different acts that will inevitably ruin their lives, and in consequence she ruins the lives of several other innocent people who are connected to them. Yes, she felt guilt and she even tried rationalizing her retaliation with some sort of weird reverse logic that I just couldn’t get on board with. This woman was out for blood and didn’t care who she trampled in her path, it was so selfish to me, but I get it. A woman scorned and all.

The book picked up for me in the second half because I was very intrigued by Casen, Reece & Ian and what their connection was in all of this. I also found it hard to believe that you wouldn't recognize a girl you were very well aware of in high school after only ten years, even with changes to your appearance etc… eventually you'd notice, especially after becoming intimate. And NOT ONE of the guys noticed until her true identity was revealed.

Ultimately the book was pretty enjoyable for me and I appreciated how Embyr finally felt remorse for her actions and how capable she was of forgiveness. I really liked Casen, and even Reece grew on me towards the end, because I did not like him in the beginning. There IS a cliffhanger and it was a very abrupt one, so I’m definitely looking forward to reading Casen’s POV in the next book titled CASEN which comes out in the fall of 2016.

    Ramblings From This Chick

Seven is the first book I have read by Amy Marie. There was a lot that I really enjoyed here, but I will mention that this book is not a standalone. It ends with a cliffhanger, and I really wanted more. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long to get more here though, as I definitely want to know what happens after where Seven left off.

After being done wrong, Annie wants to get revenge on a group of seven guys that she refers to as the PITCREW. They were the most popular guys in school, but having it all wasn't enough. They needed something more, and that was making a bet to see which one could sleep with Annie first. As if that wasn't bad enough they filmed it and released it to the whole school. Now ten years later Annie has reinvented herself as Embyr and she has come up with a plan to make them all pay. But when she makes it through her list to Casen, she finds herself falling for him. Embyr quickly finds out that life doesn't always follow along with the plans you make. Can her and Casen possibly have a future together, or is there be too much history between them?

This book was hot! There was so much chemistry between these two and honestly I couldn't get enough! Embyr and Casen were perfect examples of there being a fine line between love and hate. There was so much here that was unexpected, but I don't want to spoil the story for those that haven't read it yet. Suffice it to say though that not all was as it seems, and there was so much more going on that I had no clue about in the beginning. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to like Casen because of all that had happened in the past, but that wasn't the case here at all. I ended up really loving him! I liked Embyr as well, I will admit that I really wanted her to get her revenge. As the story continued though and things started to unfold, it became so much more complicated than I expected and I didn't know quite what to think. I also felt like there was a bit of a disconnect for me with her character later on in this book.

While I really liked the first half, the second half didn't feel as strong to me. I did enjoy this book a lot and the ending definitely has me anxious for more. I am especially looking forward to getting Casen's POV. But I will say that while I didn't like the second half as much as the first half, that this book kept me guessing with twists and turns the whole way through. I hadn't known that there was a cliffhanger before starting this one, so I think that could have been some of what made this second half feel as though it wasn't as good as the first half. I don't like to be surprised, and there was absolutely no mention of this one not being a standalone story in the blurb. I still recommend this book though, and I think if you go into it knowing that it has a cliffhanger that it probably won't be as shock as I had here. I am looking foward to more from Amy Marie though as I really liked her style and didn't want to put this one down.

    4.5 Stars!!
Wow, I cannot say just how much I loved this book!!

Embyr is one badass chic, she was ridiculed and humiliated in high school by a group of guys and now, ten years later with a name change and a completely different look, she is serving up karma on silver platters. Embyr has dirt on each member of her tormentors, the PIT CREW, and plays those dirty little secrets against them, causing their worlds to crash down, while she has a front row seat. It's all going perfectly until she comes to the next tormentor, the one she crushed on in high school, Casen Parker. What starts off as another of her well thought out plans, quickly takes a detour when those high school feelings throw her off her game.

Casen is a smooth talker, a sexy fireman and the epitome of a woman's fantasy man. And best of all, the man can talk dirty with the best of them. You will be fanning yourself at some of his words, trust me! I seriously think I loved him within the first chapter of 'meeting' him. While he was part of the PITCREW, who taunted and teased Embyr throughout high school, he never participated but stood by and allowed it to happen. You can't help but feel his regret at the way he handled the situation all those years ago.

Embyr is amazing. I loved how dedicated, feisty and overall hardcore she was to make these men pay for what they did to her. It was easy to connect with her, and even though she was one hell bent woman on a mission, she was still a likable character. When she starts to soften she became even more likable, I fell right along with her for Casen.

The writing was great, the storyline was intriguing, the characters relatable. Amy Marie did an amazing job of pulling you in within the first couple of lines of the story and she keeps you guessing on what's to come. Very interested to see where this story goes from here!

  • Lauren Lascola-Lesczynski

This was probably one of the most anticipated books for me of the year. I am a big Amy Marie fan. I loved her Unexpected series so much. I know that she poured her heart and soul into this book and it showed. These characters have so much depth and emotion that you can not help but get caught up in this story. Embyr who is like a Phoenix rising from the ashes will make you believe in the power of determination. Casen who is ever the remorseful man who was determined to make himself a better person will actually capture your heart so quick you will not even see it coming.

The way this story unfolds will have you so hooked and enthralled and invested in what happens next. You will not be disappointed with this I can promise you that. Embyr is seeking revenge and I think what she ends up with is more then she bargained for, but all she secretly hopped for. Casen worked pretty hard to snag his women and it just made him all that more endearing. I was truly captivated by this story of revenge, creed, lust, and love. If you only read one book this year this is it!!!!!!!!!! Oh also on a side note......I mean the hot, dirty, steamy sex was ON POINT!!!!!! #PussyJusice

Revenge is something that takes over someones life, and this is all they live for, the act of doing to others what has been done to you.

Embyr, is a young woman scorned during high school by a group of her peers, that are the PITCREW.
Life was cruel to her and she decides after the ultimate loss in her life to make those that hurt her pay.

This was an interesting story with a bad ass, but also very tender and sweet, heroine. I felt for Embyr and cheered her on her mission on ruining these bad mens life. Full of twist and turns that will keep you off your seat.....

I hate to leave this review on a negative way, but a happy reader is a reader that gets what they expects. In this case I thought I was getting a stand alone. There are no hints at this being the first book in a series. The Cliff hanger completely ruined this read for me (sorry) Not happy with a halfdone story.

"Seven" is a compelling story of revenge, redemption, and long lost love realized, unfortunately it comes with a price ... and a cliffhanger. As Amy Marie explains the cliffhanger was unexpected, even to her, and the ending she planned ... well let's just say that the cliffhanger is more preferable. The Heroine, Embyr, is a woman seeking vengeance against the young men who bullied her and ruined her life when she was in high school. Ten years ago her name was Annie, she was sweet, everyone liked her, and she was innocent. She was secretly in love with a boy who was in with the popular group of guys who called themselves PITCREW The group took their name by using the first letter from each of their names: Patrick, Ian, Thad, Casen, Reece, Evan, and Wesley. Annie fell victim to a bet and she was the one who paid the price at the hands of the PITCREW. One mistake and she was forced to endure humiliation, their rumor spreading, and they straight out tortured her mentally while they threatened to release a compromising video of her if she told anyone. Now after quite a few tweaks to her appearance, a name change, and some research on some of the men she's ready to put her plans of destruction into motion. Casen was a member of the PITCREW and he unwittingly started the snowball rolling not knowing what it would become. When he meets Embyr there is something about her that reminds him of a girl he used to know - a girl who was very special to him who he let down. He is incredibly attracted to Embyr and can't get her out of his mind - he wants her all of the time. Casen is a character with so many layers, so much heart, and emotion. He is also a beast in the bedroom! Embyr starts off extremely cold and calculating - but just as she can - you can justify that she's right in bringing down the people she does, because the things they are doing now are unethical. The first time you "meet" her does not paint her in a flattering light, at all. But it's around the third or fourth victim she starts to doubt her actions as being the right way to handle things. Embyr is a complex character who undergoes a lot of growth but it's frustrating that she knows what she needs to do, and she knows that she needs to do it sooner than later, but she doesn't.
"Seven" is an absorbing book, I absolutely devoured it. The Hero, Casen, is wonderfully multi layered: vulnerable, sweet, commanding, strong, erotic, romantic, audacious and protective. The Heroine, Embyr is terribly complex: ruthless, shatterable, cold, loving, calculating, foolish, and weak when it comes to Casen. Amy Marie has a cast of secondary characters that run the gamut from hilarious to "are you trustworthy or not". Embyr is a little too angsty for my taste and she suffers from the dreaded - "I want to smack you upside the head with my e-reader" syndrome. That being said there is a promise of a continuation from Casen's Point of View for the Fall and I can't wait, because there is a set up that can be in play that could be a game changer.

Have you ever seen those memes/pics/whatever-you-want-to-call-them where a reader is wondering if the author cries when they kill a character or something like that or if they laugh evilly and do a Mr. Burns "Excellent!" impression instead and okay, I totally added the Mr. Burns part, but you get what I'm saying, right? But even if you haven't, let's just pretend like you have and that you know exactly what I'm talking about because I believe that Ms. Amy Marie belongs in the second, evil-laugh, "Excellent!" Mr. Burns column because she absolutely tortured me the last 80 percent of SEVEN and especially once I got into the 90's. I'm numb and angry and ARGH - I want the next book like now and just AAARRRGGGHHH!

I loved this book, but d*mm, I hated the cliffhanger ending. It's been quite a while since I got a cliffy that drove me crazy and even though I saw that there was no epilogue and that it's only the first book in the Karma series, I still held out hope, I think until the very end, that Embyr and our hero would get their HEA. Sadly, my hope died a slow, painful, tortuous death, but I'm really hoping that they will get their HEA in the next book - arrrgh, it just stinks that I have to wait for it though.

I didn't really care for Embyr in the beginning, but she definitely grew on me the more I got to see of her. And I don't really agree with her revenge mission because Charmed really pounded the whole "two wrongs don't make a right" lesson in my head, but I also couldn't entirely blame her for her actions or at least I could understand where she's coming from. That's a little bit unusual for me because I'm harder on the heroines than the heroes and I love the heroes more, but I have not been as hard on Embyr as I normally might be. I still love the hero more, but I truly did come to care about Embyr and although, it might be hard at first or at times, please give her a chance because Embyr is a good person at heart and I'm confident that she will become someone you can be proud of later.

It's not hard to figure out who the hero is going to be, but since he's not mentioned in the synopsis, I'm not going to say his name. But while I won't tell you his name, I will tell you that I absolutely, positively, completely looooooved him! He sweet and passionate, playful and teasing at times, and he's got that whole alpha-possessive-dominant thing going on that totally suckers me in every time. Seriously, the man is hot and wonderful and highly lovable!

SEVEN took me on a roller coaster ride of ups and downs and twists and turns. It's done everything to my heart from making it melt to breaking it and from making it race to making it feel like it and my breath stopped. SEVEN had me on the edge of my seat, desperate to know more and to get to the end, but also to never wanting to get to the end. This book will make you feel - it is just amazing - and even if cliffhangers a big no no for you, I still think you should get and save it for when the next book is out because it is one story that is worth the read.

Wow! I knew from reading the blurb that this book would be intense and a crazy ride. And it did not disappoint. This is a first time read for this author and I'll be sure to keep up with all the books to follow. It was extremely well written and the story flowed effortlessly. I was so caught up in the characters and story that I was desperate to finish and find out what happened. Only the ending left me screaming what the hell!?!?!?!?!?

Casen is so freakin sweet and hot! I fell for him instantly. I wanted to shake him at some points and be like wake up. Then the twists and turns had me pulling for him. He was absolutely amazing. At the beginning I was thinking he was a jerk then the truth came out and he was so far from being a jerk face.

Embyr... well I don't know at this point if I love her or hate her. I get why she was pissed off and seeking revenge. A woman scorned is a force to be reckoned with. But at the same time I was wanting her to let it go and be happy. To be honest and let things come out. Only she didn't do that. She's a strong woman on a mission and that's respectable BUT the havoc she wrecked on people has serious consequences. I guess in the end I hope that both her and Casen get their happily ever after.

This was a crazy ride and I'm so glad I signed up for this book. It's a must read and I cant wait for the follow up book to find out what happens. It's going to be a long wait! I loved this book hard!

A Five ++ star review. This is my first read by Amy Marie and I absolutely loved it! The story was so well written and the characters were just wow! This book has a little bit of everything in it: love, hate, betrayal, angst, blackmail, revenge. You name it, it’s in there. Seven had me on the edge of my seat throughout the whole book.

Embyr is a hard a*s because of everything that has happened in her life, but once she hooks back up with Casen, the sexy as hell firefighter that can sweet talk his way into a woman’s bed, she becomes a big softy.

Embyr has her heart set on revenge on a group of her classmates that humiliated her in high school ten years ago. She changed her name and appearance to hide who she really was and began to seek out the revenge that she so needed to be able to move on. Embyr went out of her way to find out any and all the nasty secrets on all of these classmates, so she could ruin these men’s lives like they did hers. Until she got to Casen, her high school crush, who she fell hard for. Casen was part of the group that taunted Embyr but he did not participate with the guys but he stood back and let it happen. When Casen figures out that he has deep feelings for Embyr, is it too late?

Seven is the first book of a series and the ending is..wow! I cannot wait until Casen (book 2) comes out! I am most definitely look forward to reading more of Casen and Embyr but from Amy most of all!

    Hate + Karma = Love

Sometimes a story just hits you in a way that is unexpected, SEVEN was that kind of story for me. I've read Amy Marie's other books, so I knew this one was set to be different. More angsty. I mean it's a revenge story right? Well yes and no.

Amy Marie has dubbed this the Karma Series, and it's absolutely on the money. Karma is a b*tch as the saying goes, and in this story her name is Embyr. She's ten years out of high school, and in those years she's totally reinvented herself out of the doormat she was and into this fierce, driven woman. She's driven toward the goal of ensuring karma bites back on the group of guys that made her life beyond miserable then. There's only one problem with karma, she's a finicky mistress. This becomes all too apparent to Embyr. When she and Casen Parker start seeing one another, her whole world and her plan begin to shift.

What follows is definitely about karma, but it's also about the truth and coming to terms with the consequences of your actions. It's about allowing yourself to let go of hate in favor of love. It's about taking a chance and dropping your walls and maybe even losing yourself along the way. SEVEN brought me all the feels; even if some of those feels were anger and frustration, it was all about love and tears in the end. I can't wait for more!!

Revenge is a dish better served cold but when its unleashed it can burn. There are things that happen in our lives that marks us and Embyr was marked by the PITCREW in high school and now years she is back ready to take them all on and bring them to their knees no matter what. Sex, lies, deception at its fullest. This book took me a rollercoaster that I didn’t want to because I needed more and when it did end I was left with my kindle slack in my hand wanting to see what’s next. When I began this story I didn’t think this was a story that I would like showed how wrong I was not only did I like it I absorbed all of it.
Embyr story is intense and fast paced. Taking a journey in her life and how past made her the person she is today was very interesting. The writing from the plot, the characters, to just the small facts about the characters will make you need more. I’m never one for the overly intense stories but I fell for this story right away.
This was my first story by Amy and to be honest this won’t be my last one because I freaking need book two. Yes, this book ends in a cliff hanger but I don’t mind because book one dragged me in and hooked me. This was a great book that needs to be read for those who appreciates a good suspense with some hot scenes and a little romance on the side.

The ending to this book gutted me....gutted...would I read it again..oh my god yes! I normally don't enjoy cliffhangers and do my best to avoid them, but shut the front door this ending was perfection and in such a horrible but wonderful way. It left me split on how I felt and also looking at good ol' Karma from quite a few viewpoints. The blend of romance, suspense and revenge was balanced quite nicely and I was surprised by quite a few of the twists in character development.

The writing in this story is fantastic. The story was fast-paced and I could not put this book down. As in, I purchased it last weekend and finished it within the first 24 hours. The story-line and the characters grabbed my attention and I was up and down in my opinion of who/what was at fault for the ENTIRE book. That to me is a sign of a fantastic story and writing. I enjoyed the story, characters and how this had me questioning about the right and wrong of all kinds of decisions. Seeing everything from Embyr's POV helps show how things can be construed in so many ways and allows us to relate to her and her self-doubts very quickly.

I know this book was published very recently, but I can't wait for the next book! I want to know what happens to Embyr (Fantastic name btw) and Casen. I want to see how or if anything continues to unfold with Reece and Trinity and more!

    4 Stars!

Wow... honestly I was left completely speechless after this book. The blurb intrigued me, the prologue sucked me in, and the last page made me crave me. Truthfully, this book was nothing like I expected it to be but everything I can hope for in a romantic suspense.

Seven is a book full of twists, suspense, and revenge. This book will speak to you, deep down in your bones, grabbing hold of your soul and not letting go until you have devoured it whole. Seven took me on a crazy twisted ride that left me dizzy at the end.

Amy Marie is a new author for me but definitely not for long. A couple of things about Seven... it is definitely not a standalone; there will be a follow-up book; and that ending is gut-wrenching, soul wrecking, and what I expected it to be with a plot like this.

Seven is a complicated tale full of angst, drama, and heart-stopping moments. Em is a character that you will ride a love/hate line throughout the entire book. Happiness? Love? I am waiting to see how this all plays out in the next book due out in the Fall.

    I recommend this book.

Amy Marie does great romance, but she rocks a good suspense story!

Embyr (and I love that name) was mistreated and bullied in high school by a group of guys she calls the PITCREW.

One by one, Embyr systematically takes the members of the PITCREW out one by one. She's determined, unapologetic, and fierce as she exacts her revenge. She is the girl you'd love to hate, but she's doing what we all wish we could do to those who hurt us. Imagine being bullied, hurt, and discarded. Imagine having your whole life ruined. Then imagine watching them fall... one by one.

There's nothing like a sinfully hot guy to throw a wrench in your plans. When Embyr pulls Cason's card, she has a plan. She's going to get in, hurt him, and get out. But this isn't the Cason Embyr knew in high school. He's kind, caring, and protective. Maybe he was all along.

Maybe Embyr had been wrong about him.

Just when Embyr finally finds happiness, her plans begin to unravel. One of the men she destroyed has a vendetta. And he now knows who she is.

Yes, there's a cliffhanger. Yes, I know they suck. Yes, I will be reading book 2!!!

A hot & intriguing story driven by revenge. Until it's not. There was things I liked about this book and things that I thought needed a bit of improvement. I absolutely fell in love with Casen's sweet soul and dirty mouth. Big points for that. I even like that I didn't initially like Embyr. She's sort of a dark and vindictive b#tch. Don't give up on her. She comes around and I grew to like her. I also liked the plot twists that took me by surprise. I love it when an author hits me with something I never saw coming, yet it still works.
I thought the character development could have been a little deeper or had more detail in places. There was some parts of the story that didn't quite flow or transition as smoothly as I thought they could. What I wasn't a fan of was the surprise cliffhanger that I didn't see coming. Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti-cliffhanger, I just like to be prepared in advance. I really had no idea until the last page. However, I'm really intrigued to see where the story goes in the next book. I'm still hoping for the HEA I thought I was going to get at the end of this book.

This was the first book I have read by this author and I was not disappointed! The characters were so real and I couldn't get enough. I couldn't turn the pages quick enough to see what would happen next.
Karma is a Bitch! When Embyr was in high school , her life was made a nightmare by 7 boys and she wanted revenge and make them all pay for ruining her reputation and life. One by one she wants to bring them down but when she gets to Casen, the one boy she was in love with during high school, things get complicated. I loved Casen. Casen was the type that could be a gentleman one minute and a wild man in bed the next. I was so upset at Embyr for wanting to hurt this man but I could understand why she wanted to do it.
The only thing I didn't like was the cliffhanger! But after what the author said at the end, I was glad there was a cliffhanger. I fell in love with Casen and Embyr. I could feel the pain of Embyr having high school not enjoyable because of bullies and I was all for getting the revenge this girl needed but later on after Casen, I hoped she would just let it rest but a woman scorned is no one to mess with especially when she has nothing to lose!

KARMA is a bitch! Ten years after high school Annie has changed completely from looks, attitude & name, now Embyr. She's out for revenge, after the seven guys known as the PITCREW. They humiliated, tormented, bullied & destroyed her in high school.

The story is intense through Embyr's POV & she wants them all to suffer until she gets to Casen. Even though he didn't torment her, he was in their group & didn't stop them from bullying her or defend her. The more Embyr gets to know Casen, she's falling for him & realizes people can change & have regrets. How can she finish what she started? Once I started reading I couldn't put it down until I finished. Lots of interesting unexpected twists at the end & did not expect it to leave us hanging in a cliff hanger!!! -read by RazzReader with Pop Fizz Clink Read
